- My latest wagon purchase has arrived, so watch as I unbox it and show you the amazing level of detail on this wagon from new manufacturer, Accurascale.
This is the 21T MDO/MDV van, in a special @JenniferEKirk edition. If you want to get your own, they are still available from Rails of Sheffield here - railsofsheffie...
Has anyone else bought an Accurascale wagon before? Maybe you've ordered one for the first time, like me? What are your thoughts on them! Comment below.
I have the KUA in my collection and the model is beautifully detailed. No wonder it has won awards and is out of stock at Accurascale.
They are probably the best model wagons I have seen.
Lovely review!
Thanks!
Agreed on the sprung buffers. I am converting my OO fleet to Roco universal couplers, which can do some close coupling, and enven if my minimum curve in OO/HO is 484mm radius, it's still a plus sprung buffers.
Besides this, this wagon is really nice. I'm waiting for the Accurascale Class 37 in BR green late crest. It's promising.
I wish I had the money for a bunch of them, they look so fab! With the quality of this wagon I might see if I can save up for a set of 3 MDVs to go with this one.
Nice wagon. Much more detail than the equivalent from Bachmann or Hornby.
Sure is!
Definitely looks like quite a good model. Seeing as the pamflet said they were used in East Anglia too I fear I now have to buy pack of them. Oh bother:)
I went through a period like that - ended up with too much rolling stock!
I think I should try and get the model for my collection
I'm very impressed with the detail.
Hi john
Hope you are well?
I've got no Accurascale in my loco fleet all rolling stock at mo
Thinking about their gwr manors.
As for the wagon
Well detailed maybe too detailed and yes sprung buffers are pointless.
Yes definitely could do with weathering
Keep safe arp
Thanks Adi!
They look very well detailed wagons. Doesnt look like the coupling is causing you an issue, though?
No, the coupling seemed to work fine, but I dont have any sharp curves on my little layout.
