That is actually called funk convention made by funk to put on ford 2n 9n 8n it came In 6cyl with 95hp or v8 flathead with 105hp worth a good amount of money

You need to add a valve cover breather for all the extra pressure you dont wanna crack a ringland cause the air pressure has no where to go! (Catch can will do also)
That engine is designed for that oil pressure sender line to be dead headed against the gauge. It will drop your oil pressure at the bearings. Your gauge will not read right either because the oil can flow through the turbo and not build pressure in the line.
We had a 1970s International diesel tractor that officially had 60hp and top speed of 30km/h. But the rpm restraint was changed so it did rev up to 3000rpm instead of 2500rpm and did 47km/h. Hauling heavy loads it did accelerate way faster then our 105hp turbo diesel modern tractor that would struggle going up the same hills with same load. I suspect it had a LOT more HP at 3000rpm then the official number. Also the modern tractor had double the amount of gears (4 inbetween gears for every gear) and it needed all the gear to move a heavy load. The old tractor we often skipped gears because you did not need all the gears to get moving.
Does it really surprise you that the old tractor doesn't sound healthy and after such a kind piece of treatment. Really they weren't built for forced induction but it was fun listening to the main bearings knocking themselves out and to see the old girl rattle your fillings out.

How in the absolute HELL can you just scrape the paint off the hood of a 70 year old tractor with a turbocharger, REPEATEDLY, and NOT feel the need to blow your own head off???
That diesel turbo has what is called a "labyrinth seal" on the shaft after the impellor and it's not actually a seal it's really a very small leak. You can't use those for very long flowing gasoline and also closing a throttle in front of it. At idle on a gas burner they will leak oil into the intake manifold and making boost forces air saturated with gasoline into the turbo bearing housing. What you want is called a "carbon-faced seal" and they are real oil seals that can wear out and even when perfect they slow your spoolup. Weirdly every gasoline powered trash pump has a carbon faced seal that will work in a turbo! They come in different sizes and there are shop specialize in fitting carbon seals to stuff that never had them originally. They are available for most-but-not-all turbos but some of them go as high as 1500 horsepower! (-per-turbo-)
Tractors are dangerously unstable and can easily kill you. Had a friend that drove his across a ditch wrong and it fell over on him, crushed him while the engine kept running and burnt him where it was touching as well. There was no way to save him.😢

I did the math out and I'm in new brunswick canada, your race fuel is almost the same cost as our 89 regular grade fuel.... we are 1.80 for 91 and 1.64 for 89
Man that's just bushings. Do you have any idea how much stress than bushings go under on a tractor staring in and out of them ruts in the fields that's why bushings are made to be replaced but all the hardware is still good

They're not that high maintenance, barely have to maintenance them. They're indestructible until u overheat it 4 times. But will still start with 2 blown head no problem with glow plugs.
it wont make more power if u put higher octane in it the only engines which benefit from it is the higher temp ones and compression wise so they don't knock which in turn can get more power in a modified engine

Blow through carb turbo setups just can't work right except for drag racing and such-like. When you back off the throttle with the turbo wound up they run lean and thats death to pistons.

The funk conversion ones are rare, they allow a 95 hp i6 or a 100hp flathead v8 to be installed in place of the origional flathead 4 cylinder
