You have a great system and have put a-lot of thought into and on your trailers and trucks. My question is do you monitor your systems in cab during traveling? Then you would not have to guess on battery life, power and air conditioning temps if you lose a generator. Even large lights on the drivers side were the driver and a support truck can see from a distance. We have something similar on the side of our fire trucks we’re we can monitor water levels from a distance.

Thanks for the question. We have the lights on the side of the trailer. That’s how we knew we had an issue. Since that deployment we have upgraded the victron system in that trailer. The trailer has internet on board with multiple cellular modems and Starlink in motion. We now can all see the battery levels, inverter status and genset information. We are in the process of adding this to each trailer. We also now have 12 plus hours of on board backup …. The trailer in this video now has 600 AH of lithium batteries…. Thanks for the question.

I wonder what radios (Ham/DMR/Whatever) you were using on the freeway?

We have a nationwide UHF frequency assigned to our company.
      Another great question.

Question out of curiosity; I know most Police will play nice if you get stopped and say you are hurricane relief but how do you deal with the Different state and thier laws regarding use of strobe lights and or radio devices as the hands free laws apply ?

Great question. Our company is in the fiber optic construction business, as such we have lighting permits issued by the state for us to operate led or strobing warning lights. Our state emergency management agency also recognizes our support role on state and national declared emergency and emergency response. In Georgia Utility companies (we are a provisioning CLEC ie phone company) get a call out for an exception just like police to operate mounted and handheld electronics for loading and operating our network installed in the public rights of way. With that said I think two radios like CBs and company radios are not covered under this law. In most jurisdictions that we respond and since we are restoring the police radio system and the 911 systems the local authorities also escort us … coupled with our federal letter we haven’t experienced any issues in this area. Great question.
