Todd, is there anyway you could sell a little manual with instructions, exact part numbers, and photos to allow others to make the parts? Your idea is great!
I've got a kart that's super hard to start and I've actually hurt my back a few times trying to start it, so you can bet that I'm gonna be cutting my flywheel cover open next chance I get.
Todd, is it a LEFT HAND Coleman starter part with the one way bearings, so that when the drill it connected to the engine it will freewheel? Thank you for any reply!
where can i get that bearing online? Great vid. Was getting upset today as Hegar has postponed the making of their quick start solution and no one has them in stock….anywhere!
+Todd Kageals Thanks a lot Todd, Im going to try and have something by weekends end if I can help it. Im down using straps for that 1st crank up of the day. After that push starting is simple….however, I soon will become too old for that to, so I mind as well jerry rig a way to have the cordless drill on the kart…LOL Thanks for the help!
2h of searching and only found the one-way-clutch-bearing made in Asia and sold by Asian companies. Min. qty was 15 pieces and I did not wanted to do it. No US web site featured anything like this. Coleman's own parts catalog features no one way clutch bearing or any similar parts. Can you help ?
Can you make one for me ? I'd love to buy it from you. Just bought a Honda 125 shifter kart and so far only big issues are starting is hard specially alone, and it is so heavy, I have hard time putting it up on a stand. So if you make the flywheel piece I'd buy it. Also can you give a link to the one way clutch online ? I really appreciate this video, gave me hope :-)
It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure the bearing is included in that shaft. It's called a Sprague bearing, and they're available from a local bearing supplier right here in town. I guess they'd be available from pretty much any bearing supplier.
Looks like someone is now making a very similar setup. It's a little "steep" at $150.00, but having used this setup myself for several seasons, I can tell you it's worth every penny! www.ebay.com/itm/ACCU-START-Crankshaft-Starter-Tool-for-your-Yamaha-TZ-125-and-TZ-250-Road-Racer/391532380274?hash=item5b29260072:g:x8IAAOSwxN5WY4-X
This is literally the only thing I have found online for an electric starter for a Cr125. Thanks for the video!

Hi Todd, what a fab tool, did you ever do a drawing for it as this would surly make starting my shifter kart a load easier.
Thanks for the video! Does that nut replace the factory flywheel nut? If so, I'm assuming the threads are brass, how have they held up?
What a good idea!
Why are you doing this from clutch side? Why not from flywheel side?

Hello Todd, you think you can sell me two of them. That is a great Idea.
Very Cool, How do you prevent the flywheel adapter nut from loosening when starting, Loctite?
The direction it needs to spin is actually tightening the nut!
Rusty Jaime what motor do you have
CR125
You should patten that, that's better anything I have seen.
I wanna set one of these up for my cart, but am having trouble finding the bearing, can you hook me up with a link?
How much would you charge for that? I need one of those
