    I’m not going to lie, Daz’s laugh always makes me laugh so much harder and makes me enjoy all of the videos I find funny even funnier once I hear him laughing. I wish I could visit the country and come hangout with the guys and watch videos and react to some with them. It would be such an amazing day and just would make me so happy. Plus I wanna leave the US and go visit there so badly before I’m dead and gone honestly. It’s always been a dream of mine honestly.

    Whose fault that "scooter versus car door" accident was would depend on where they were. Some places require two-wheeled vehicles to move through slow traffic like that. The first time I road my motorcycle across the country I got a ticket in California for sitting in traffic instead of riding between cars. I noticed many, many cars in that state with broken-off side mirrors and riders with elbow pads so...

    • @LancerX916

      Yes in California you can lane split if traffic is at a stop. You can't lane split if the traffic is moving.

    The guy on the moped was doing what they call "lane splitting" it's legal in most states and countries. If cars are at a stand still and there's enough room to get through on a motorcycle or moped they're allowed to do it. They're even allowed to do it on a busy highway

    • @StfuFFS
      @StfuFFS 2 роки тому +10

      Uh, not really. The only state where it is explicitly "legal" is California. 6 other states have considered making it legal and 43 states not only outlaw it, they aggressively enforce the law. There's many videos of motorcyclists getting their arse chewed up and down by an angry hi-po.

    • @trycerlon5372
      @trycerlon5372 2 роки тому +7

      @@StfuFFS 'In many countries (excluding the United States), lane splittingii and filteringiii are normal practices for motorcyclists. Particularly in the highly urbanized areas of Europe and Asia, motorcycle and scooter operators are expected to pass between conventional vehicles and filter (advance) to the front of the group.' - American Motorcycle Associated
      'Bills to legalize lane splitting have been introduced in state legislatures around the United States over the last twenty years but none had been enacted before California' - Wikipedia
      So essentially, California allows it, many other states dont 'disallow' it, many make it illegal. In the context of the clip, which isnt even in the US, first one would have more weight.

    • @StfuFFS
      @StfuFFS 2 роки тому +5

      @@trycerlon5372 no, you said it was "legal in most states". It's not. It's legal in 1 state. And what these 2 different 2 wheel drivers were doing wasn't lane splitting. "Lane splitting" is when you drive between MOVING cars. "Filtering" is when you drive through stopped traffic to filter to the front. Filtering is relatively safe unless you run into a prick like the 2 in the video here. Splitting, on the other hand, is an extraordinarily stupid practice. The lanes on California freeways through the big cities are already narrow and some are hands down a butcher shop.

    • @drewgamezzz8482
      @drewgamezzz8482 2 роки тому +2

      Yeah, it really surprises me how some people claim to know the laws and all of that bs, but yet they seem to make a big deal over lane splitting/filtering. For one, it’s actually more dangerous at like a red light for them to sit behind traffic and not split and go to the front of the line, cause I’ve seen numerous videos of motorcycles who didn’t filter and sat in the back of the line and had some idiot who wasn’t paying attention come up behind them flying and run right into them hard af. And also, I just don’t get why people seem to get so mad over someone splitting, like if they got thru cleanly and weren’t even close to your car, then what’s the big deal? Plus, like you said, it completely legal in tons of countries and a couple states I believe. It’s just too many Kyles and Karens out there who wanna make a big deal out of the smallest things.
      And even if it’s illegal, again especially at lights, it’s a lot safer for them to split and get to the front of the line than to sit in the back, but there’s always that one pos who wants to get mad. Like for one the bike is way faster than you and is for sure going to leave the line faster than you, unless it’s one of those pos who like to drive recklessly and try speeding by them and swerving at them, or like some, pull up on them at the light when they split by them and try hitting them cause they got in front of them. Like I’ve never seen the big deal of why people get so mad cause someone in a bike got in front of them. Like it’s a bike, again, o times out if 10 they’re going to leave the light faster than you and if you just let it happen it will not affect you one bit.

    For the scooter vs. car discussion. At least in Germany, anyone on the road is considered like a car by the law basically. So if that would've happened over here, it would've been the scooter's fault for the damages i think. That second clip with the other scooter would be the car's fault because it was parked

    Here in America it’s called lane splitting. The clip with the motorcycle, in my opinion it’s the motorcyclist fault because he’s supposed to be paying attention. The person was driving and opened the door while in the street, but there isn’t anything illegal about opening you car door into the street. But on the other hand if you are opening your door in a place where most people don’t open doors, he should also be more cautious. Soooo, 🤷🏽‍♀️

    Ok, so this is the last, but I couldn’t see that and not say something.
    @8:48 Whoever that absolute pos was that seemed to purposely o-need their door to do that to that man should’ve faced some kind of charges. I mean they seriously could have killed that man, whether they know it or not. And to be so dense and so mad cause someone was filtering is absolutely the most trash and petty thing to be mad about. Like in most countries and a few states I think, it’s perfectly legal, yet you always have Kyles and Karens who wanna get mad that they’re about to be passes and do things like this. For one, again, they could’ve killed him, two, you can tell it was on purpose and basically only cause he was anout to be able to slip thru all the traffic. And not only are you putting your car at risk of damage, you’re almost certain to be dang near totaling his bike out, and he is going to wreck so therefore you’re putting some innocent person’s vehicle at risk as well.
    I feel if someone is caught doing that, they should be charged severely, if not charged with attempted murder imo. They could easily have killed him there if he was moving any faster tbh. I mean it takes a real pos to do that to someone on purpose. And you can tell it was on purpose cause no one was getting out and they only did it when he started to approach and then just closes the door when he wrecks.
    And to Answer your question Daz, read my comment, it’s legal in most countries these days, amd these guys did it on purpose obviously. And no Mike, it’s not the bikers fault that he was filtering legally and this pos decided to try and kill him basically. Even if it isn’t legal, it’s still purposefully trying to cause bodily harm to someone just cause you don’t like that they’re doing. So yea, even if it isn’t legal, that doesn’t make it right to then try to kill the man cause you don’t agree with what they did… it’s pathetic, it’s dangerous, amd they should be charged.
    And the cars in the left aren’t parked, you can see the trucks brake lights are on, and he obviously was hit by the door purposefully, so it’s kinda hard for me to understand how y’all are even remotely blaming the biker when this person clearly did this on purpose. If they were trying to get out, regardless if the guy hit the door, then why didn’t they get out? They clearly didn’t like him filtering, which again is legal a lot of places, and just straight up tried to and most likely did just hurt him severely.

    There are some places where splitting lanes on a motorcycle or moped is legal, but I think you'd have to be an idiot to do it. You are still required to check if the roadway is clear before opening your car door. Depending on the location the law could be different but I'd say the moped was at fault.
