Late June is early season in the mountains, often snow remaining and rivers are full of meltwater

Am I alone recognize Norway as a complete uninteresting country to visit? It can be as beautiful as it may, but the weather is almost always bad, then it is disqualified as a tourist place for sane humans. They so often point out how Norway is the best country to live in. What an insane statement I think to myself, I who actually know the weather there very well. There is an exception though. Once in a while, Norway show itself from the nicest side. You can experience three weeks in a row with only sun and blue sky. This happen once every five years at average. Thus, to have a great time, you need to be prepare to go at any time while you keep watching the forecast closely. yr.no When you hit three weeks with blue sky in Norway, you wouldn't want to be any other place. Regardless if you have decided to spend it while walking from hut to hut across the vidda, touring the roads by car, or even better a (motor)bike. With a sailboat along the far coast line, between inlets and inserts. Everywhere you will find an eye candy. Just remember to leave - high prices - irritation at home. Norway is one half time as expensive compared to home and when it comes to alcohol, eating out and renting cars, twice the price. Don't go to Norway before you are prepared for this. Don't go to Norway on a budget. Rather plan for a shorter vacation. This way you can stay happy. The reason why Norway is expensive is solely because out public sector is three times as larger than yours. Half of the spending happen in public sector, in Norway. It would make Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Mao cry in happiness. Just don't think about politics, economics or rational philosophy while on vacation in Norway. It will only drive you crazy. The Norwegian will grow up and want to be self-sufficient some time in the future. Just give it time. Norwegians are slow learners, but when they finally realize their economic insanity they will be the best in class. Today they are best in class when it comes to practical communism. Hundred years in the future they will be best at anarcho-capitalism. So, don't fall for the immature reaction of laughing at them. They will be better than you in anything they put their mind to. It just happen to be so that they need more time to put their mind to the right thing.
