Haha I feel ya man try wd-40 and heat gun on them to melt the stupid loctite they use on it. I had to use both on tail light bolts and it was the only thing that worked. Spray some wd-40 and let it sit for a while then heat gun for like 15-20min and try to remove. Good luck!
Appreciate these videos man, just ordered the same mirrors on my brand new Vulcan S, they make a huge difference in the styling of the bike! And with this video it'll be a piece of cake to put them on.🙏
Did you have a different handlebar? I have the 2024 vulcan s and this mirror cant be adjusted horizontally, and i just cant have any good visibility on my rear
Love the headlight, much brighter and looks way better than stock imo. You cannot use the factory windshield because there is no more room on the forks for the windshield brackets. Only way would be to use a different bracket for the headlight or a bracket for the windshield that goes into the top cylinder of the forks.
Haha thank you! This is part of the fun of having a motorcycle. Next mod and hopefully final one will be changing the indicator lights in front to be blacked out as well!
Thanks for the video. I bought the same mirrors and placed them below the bar as yourself, I do like the aesthetics. BUT! I found the visibility is much worst! First, the throttle hand obstruct the mirror and can’t see what’s behind me. I’ve tried different adjustment positions and no luck. Second, the mirrors are small, again the rear view isn’t great, plus arm is in the way. I love the look of it, but unfortunately I went if a ride with them and I didn’t feel very comfortable with the fact that I can’t do a proper mirror check :/
Thanks for watching! Yea it all depends on the size of your arms and shoulders location while riding. For me I can still see great in the back but I do understand where you could have issues and see some of your wrist and arms. The safest option would be to mount them above the bar, still a nice low profile look. I may switch mine to above the bar at some point. Good luck and ride safe bro!
Nice vid! Can you tell me the size (width and height) of this mirrors? I find two differents sizes, 90*136 and 77*128... I'm hesitant about of what of these purchase, maybe 77*128 are very small... Thanks
Do these hit your tank when you turn? I was hesitant to consider these mirrors because the way you have them installed, I fear you could damage your tank if you lock your bars left or right. You might want to flip them up so they sit on top.
I tested them out at full left and right turn, they do not hit the tank. It's all about the angle you keep the mirrors at. They would certainly hit the tank if the bracket and mirror are angled incorrectly. It's very easy to adjust and yes can just flip the bracket to be above the bars instead of below if you like that look better. Many options for mounting!
Visibility is fine, it is actually better than stock in my opinion because the angle shows more of what's behind you. The stock mirrors are in front and top of bars so you always see the side of your shoulder/arms. With these bar ends the view is fully clear and wider. There is only a slight reduction in view since the bar end mirrors are smaller than stock, but not by much.
So I followed your link to Amazon and some of the reviews of people with vulcan S state when installed it creates a lot more vibration due to the barend weights being removed. Did you notice this and if so was it bothersome or were you able to correct? The mirrors look gorgeous. Just dont want a lot more vibration. Thanks for posting all these mods!
I haven't noticed any vibration in the bars after adding these mirrors. The mirror weight is similar to the stock mirrors. Someone also mentioned using longer screws that allow you to keep the bar end weights on so that could resolve their vibration issues but like I said I haven't felt any added vibrations. Good luck and ride safe!
@Kamdorian I don't know if you ever fixed the headlight turn signal staying solid but found the below on the Amazon review for it. May help. "the turn signals and DRLs are wired in such a way that they are not compatible with solid state LED flashers, even though they are LEDs. I don't know how this is possible because I'm not an electrical engineer, but when using a common solid state, no-load flasher, the DRLs backfeed 6 volts across the turn signals and cause them to stay on instead of flashing, while my rear turn signals flash normally. The only solution I found (after 3 days of trying different flashers and much puzzlement) is to get an electromechanical flasher such as the Autozone Novita LL352, and two 6 ohm load resistors. I'm guessing that on the bikes this kit was designed for, there is an incandescent gauge light in the circuit and the resistor isn't necessary."
Vulcan s bar has a small protruding at the end, so the mirror is not flush with the bar. It leaves an ugly gap where the water can go in. I found out the hard way with mine
good to know, thanks! Do you ride in rain a lot? I never ride in rain and I don't spray entire bike with water when washing so hopefully I don't have issues with water going into bars.
Nice video! I'm thinking about also adding end-bar mirrors to my KVS. Did you notice an increase of vibration transmission through the handlebar? Cheers,
Thank you! I have only rode for short 30 minutes after installing these so far (weather has not been great to ride for longer yet). So far no vibration at 55mph. Have to ride for longer and get to higher speeds before I can say for sure no issues.
@@Kamdorian Hi Kamdorian, I was wondering about this too - any update? I bought the same mirrors as you but have not put them on yet. Thanks! Update: I decided to put these on and went for a 1 hour ride. No increased vibration or buzzing in the hands! They are actually better for seeing behind than the stock mirrors!
That is true but it does have some weight to it that helps making these bar ends close to the weight of the stock mirrors. This helps prevent imbalance on the bars and vibrations.
A prime example of someone doing a how to video when they have no clue what they are doing, so much wrong info, advice and dropping stuff. Oh and the mirror fittings are not made of plastic. 🙄

It’s amazing how just the mirrors alone turn this into a totally different bike. That’s insane
Yea the stock mirrors are so bulky and ugly lol
Great video fella, the very best 650 I've seen on UA-cam!!
Thank you I appreciate that!!

Is there any way to close the gap at the end of the bars
Apparently there is something you can buy or you can use different adapters but I'm not sure which ones. Others have commented on it.
Wow. You are on a roll to do a complete makeover of it. 😅

The mirror is 5 inch wide and 3 inch tall. When mounted above bars you can see easier and it is big enough to see clearly in the rear.

@@markbeck3489 yes they can be mounted above bars or below. Very easy to switch!
@@Kamdorian when I turn the handlebars all the way left or right, they hit the tank, was wondering if urs do the same?
@@markbeck3489 they do if the angle of the mirror is off. Adjust the angle of the mirror itself and bracket until it doesn't hit the tank.
Any tips on how to tighten the mirror without getting the throttle stuck?
Hmm it should tighten normally without getting throttle stuck. You might be using the wrong bolt if it is getting stuck.
can you tell me what the size of the connection of the original mirrors is ? M8 or M10 ?
I believe it is M10. I used these caps to fill the stock mirror holes. amzn.to/3Ttk5kF
Nice job!

I have the same issue with my Aprilia. Thankfully, I work in a fabrication shop so I’ll be making spacers to go in there.
What happens if too much water gets in? Because I ride in the rain if I’m stuck. I have no choice
I dont know if you fixed it or not but what i did was use the larger spacer that the mirrors came with and put it there so it kind of covers that gap
Is there any unwanted vibrations since you didn’t install the weights with the new mirrors?
No vibrations. The weight of the bracket and mirror are pretty much equal to the stock bar end weight. Even at high speed I don't feel vibration.
Beautiful
