You’re so right! I went to Etsi school thinking facials was gonna be my jam… then at the end we had a lash certification training and OMG I fell in love! I got my license and immediately started lashing and learning more and more! I learned so much that I NEED to know for lashing so going to school might seem like it sucks, but it’s legit a great thing to do! Plus when you’re done you don’t have to worry about getting caught by state board AND you have other skills! YOU GOT THIS LASH LOVES!! If you love lashing, you’ll love educating yourself on all things beauty included sanitation! And like Yoyis said, we still have to take courses and continued education, so the learning never ends, buckle up!! It’s a good & beautiful ride! 💗💗🙌🏾
Thanks for your comment hun! I love the excitement! Having your license just opens up so many doors and it's the best feeling ever knowing you can do whatever you want with it.
I love my state of Texas 🥰 I took a 2 week class from a girl off Facebook to teach me how to do extensions, I learned the basics and got my kit from her, after a yr of practicing with family and friends I knew I love it! Now I’m in my first 100 hours of state board license course and realize there’s so much I didn’t know and makes so much sense now, wouldn’t have done it any other way and can’t wait till get my license and promote myself because now I’ll be 100% legal to do so
I'm so glad you love what you are doing and doing the right thing on getti g your license. Especially because now you know this is really what you want to do. Keep killing it babe! So proud of you!
I just graduated cosmetology school and originally went to be a curly hair stylist & recently decided to go a different route. I can vouch that they teach absolutely nothing about lash extensions. Lashes always intrigued me and I just took a $400 course to be certified. It was 1- 8 hour course & I can definitely say that I have learned more from you in 3-4 videos in than anything that was taught in the course! So THANK you
Yes ! Texas here! I took the lash technician course requires 320hrs. Just passed my written exam 2wks ago and now getting ready for the practical exam. Lash “certifications” classes here range from $600-2k and my school that helped me do 320hrs charged me only 2k so honestly I don’t thing it’s that expensive. Almost all schools have payment plans too. Also I did take a course FIRST just to make sure lashes was my thing, just to make sure I would like it. And I LOVE it!
Aw yay thank you so much for sharing! For esthetician license it is required 600 hours so to do only half of that is so much better. Especially if your going just to be licensed for lashes. I wish we had that here in Vegas. That would be amazing! Wish you the very best in your journey hun 😘
@@YoyisLashBeauty I thought all states had the lash technician license. The school I went to has cosmetology 1000hrs, esthetician 600hrs, lash tech 320hrs and recently Texas added the Nail tech for I think 600hrs . I only wanted the lashes so that helped a lot
The schools in my area are almost 4k😭 im determined to do it though... i went to esthi school 8 years ago , got my license but it expired and didn't renew it :( but the only thing we learned in esthi school about lashes is lash tabbing :(

I understand your frustration hun. It's not easy. But just because you feel like you can't move forward with school doesnt mean you should give up your love for lashes. I believe everything has their time and place and of you really want to do lashes professionally Im sure you'll find a way to get your license. If the time is not right now it's ok just figure out a way to make it happen. And if it takes 5 years so be it. But if you really love lashing don't give it up because of this bump on the road. Yes go to state board they let u see the class u need. Then go to the school and ask. I know there is a few in dallas .. im taking a class end of month
Depends on where you live at in Michigan there is no license for lash technician you either have to be a licensed cosmetologist, licensed Barber, license esthetician 🤦🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️👀 I think if they offered a class that one could go to for about 3 to 400 hours in general they can really make some great lash technicians I would love to learn this but I'm not going to Pace anybody $1,000 or $600 or $3,000 for one not more than 2 days that's a rip off to me. So I'll be looking carefully to see if the local beauty schools will be offering this I don't know if you'll get a chance to see this as it is February 2nd 2022 🥰💯
The only state that I know of that only does licensing just for lash extensions is Texas. Everywhere else you either have to be licensed in esthetics or Cosmotology. But it sucks because not a lot of school offer or train you in lash extensions so your still going to have to go outside of school and pay for a training. Which I find a little ridiculous if you have to have a license in order to do it 🤦🏻♀️
In texas u must take a cert . Its not as much as aesthetician school or cosmo. But w cert u may only do lashes nothing else . State board will ck. U can just call state board to ask. Super easy. I have my cosmo from tx
So I am self taught what’s the difference if you took a course and now you have a license. How many courses do you have to take before you can test ? I do work in dental so I know about infection control and keeping things clean. I love lashing and you make me wanna do it the right way even more!

Aww thanks hun! I believe it is the Charlotte Tilbury wedding bells lipstick. Not sure if I used a lip liner since I normally don't but I know for a fact that it is that lipstick.
I’m in Texas I decided to go the legal way because I was so afraid of getting caught. I got my lash specialty license this year and I hate lashing. I wish I would of taken a certification class first. Now I’m heading back to school to get my esthetician license. But one thing I tell everyone is school is only their to prep you for your state board exam they don’t teach u in depth everything else. That is what certification are for. I do recommend to go through a community college instead it’s the same curriculum the same hours if you go through a high end school paying 10k plus or if you go through the community route it’s under $3k. I just tell ppl to please do a lot of research I wish someone had told me but I learned my lesson.
How long were you doing lashes before you decided that you really hated it? Thanks for sharing hun. That's why I always say it's best to take a course before you decide to take the big jump and go to school because what if it so happens it's not what they thought it was. I'd rather spend 2k for a course to see if I like it then spend 10k in school and find out its not for me. 🤷🏻♀️
@@YoyisLashBeauty I only did lashes for 4 months. I still lash my daughters but I don’t enjoy it. Plus I started suffering from dry eyes and my eye sight was getting blurry. But I knew lashes wasn’t for me because it seem more like a chore. I’m a PMU artist and I love it. Everyone kept telling me to continue and give it 1 year but I just knew inside me lashing wasn’t for me. I still watch your videos since I do lash my daughters. Yes, when ppl message me asking about the school I went I tell them if your not lashing already please take a certification course so you really know for sure lashing is for you. Cause I spent $4k for school to get my lash license and I’m about to spend another $3k to get my esthetician license. But I done my research and waxing is something I wanna be able to offer and I love waxing so that’s why I’m getting my esthetician license. I will still have my lash license but I dont see myself using it. Luckily the school I’m going to get my esthetician license is cutting down my hours since I have my lash license.
@brendasollers5252 you'll have to check your state laws and regulations on that because if you don't have a license and your state requires it and you submit your business they will look into it.

Love your work!! But I have a problem I have trouble seeing the lashes is that normal
Do you lash from a table or recliner?
Your lip combo is beautiful! What is it?
Damn in the uk u just need a certificate and to be insured to do lash extensions
Can I still open a business space for lash tech?
Are you asking if you can still be a Lash Artist without a license?
@@YoyisLashBeauty I'm asking if I can still run a legitimate business with knowing I don't need a license to do so
@@YoyisLashBeauty yes that's my question
@brendasollers5252 you'll have to check your state laws and regulations on that because if you don't have a license and your state requires it and you submit your business they will look into it.
Girl shoe that body! You’re only going to be this age once!
Lol 😂 your right!
What esthetician school did you go to for your license?
I went to Expertise Cosmetology Institute
