Another thing that's interesting/creepy about Mr. Jefferson: in one of my playthroughs, after Max tells Mr. Jefferson that she doesn't want Kate to be the next Rachel Amber, he says "Kate is nothing like Rachel", in an angry/rude tone, which was really weird to me. But, after listening to this it makes sense; if he like girls who are "innocent", he probably was going to make Kate his next Rachel Amber until she lost that innocence due to what happened at the Vortex Club party.
Hollow.Notes That was a huge red flag to me, that and him saying he misses Rachel. I don't believe he is capable of inflicting harm on his students though, I think he's just a harmless creep. I'm more concerned with Nathan, as we know he IS dangerous and he is certainly malicious. Also Frank the deadbeat dealer with Rachel's bracelet... what's up with that?? Sketchy stuff.

It's weird, as soon as Kate was upset in the game (the beginning) he gives almost all his attention to max, because he all of a sudden was put off by Kate's vid
I think the game's goal was to make Madsen the red herring while Jefferson is the real culprit. Everything is set up to point to Madsen being a bad guy and Max herself seems to focus on him and overlook Jefferson. I honestly fell for it until I started watching prediction videos. Now it's pretty obvious to me that Madsen has been trying to help while Jefferson is the bad guy.
Janay Gunderman I think Nathan works together with Jefferson or helps him. Maybe he brought Kate into this " white room " she saw. It could be a room where he takes photos, you know? Also Nathan wrote this picture now " Rachel in the Dark Room " in Episode 3 and Jefferson said " I could trap anyone of you in a dark corner " Maybe not corner but room? Maybe he knows more about Rachel then he wants to tell? It also could be that Nathan witnessed something and Jefferson scared him so much that he got scared and helped him in a weird way. Maybe he doesn't even want to and Jefferson has something against him. If I remember right Nathan also takes some pills against anxiety or something like that. He could be scared of something.

I always thought the hints were way too subtle and only made sense in retrospect, but the fact this channel pieced it all together immaculately, BEFORE episode 4 came out, proves the clues were good enough and made sense.

***** Twin Peaks is a heavy influence, and Laura Palmer is basically Rachel from what we can tell. She had what seemed to be a split personality, one lovable innocent side that everyone loved, and a dark crazy side. Of course, in Fire Walk With Me, you learned the reason for her dark side was supernatural. I wonder if that's what they're going for here.

Only 5% of players spoke out about Mr Jefferson in the final decision. Say what you want, but him being the suspect isn't as obvious as you'd think. A lot of people fail to realise everything you said, haha!

Evanz111 I do realize it, and Jefferson being the bad guy is my main suspicion, but still blamed Nathan 'cause Max can't really blame Jefferson for what happened to Kate. Considering Max has the testimony of one of her best friends (Chloe) about Nathan actually drugging her and intending to film her, then the testimony of Kate, being suspicious of Nathan as well which confirms what Chloe said (Kate and Chloe are not friends, so Kate couldn't know about Chloe's story, yet both their stories are quite similar) Also, Max heard Chloe and Nathan's conversation in the bathroom about Nathan dealing with drugs, then there's Victoria's conversation on the showers saying she knows Nathan hooked Kate up with some drugs... So, unless there are a lot of lies and misunderstandings in the middle that Max don't know of yet, it's pretty obvious Nathan's quite responsible of Kate's video and her suicidal state. And after all, he's an asshole who shot someone, and Max saw that herself, which in my opinion, is far worse than anything we've seen Madsen or Jefferson do so far.

Kate marsh Those red binders are everywhere, look in the Principal's office, behind his desk, there's some. I think he's most likely investigating what's going on with the girls at Blackwell, maybe triggered by what happened to Rachel. Yeah, he's harsh in his ways, but he's a military man after all. And if he was killing, abducting, or doing anything criminal to girls, I don't think he'd be so obviously taking pics of them on campus where everyone can see him. He's definitely investigating something.

i vaguely thought of mr jefferson as the real culprit behind everything - i got suspicious of him in episode 2 because of his conversation with kate. but then i decided it was a fluke and i felt like i was being too suspicious of everybody. i put him out of my mind as being a bad guy for two whole episodes after that... but then he gave that speech at the vortex club party and he totally rubbed me the wrong way. at that particular moment my suspicion of him became really strong again, but then i was too late in piecing things together. i was really shocked at the end of chapter four and i was mad at myself for not seeing it coming earlier >:(
Also, the winner got to go to a convention or whatever with him - alone. I really think he picked Max as his next target and that was how he'd go about it, secretly coming back to the dark room with Max all drugged and shit. Whatever. He's a creep no matter how you look at it.
Maybe he marked that binder Victoria because he knew that Max was going to go in and investigate so he put that there so she wouldn't suspect that she was the next victim.
i know i’m late for the party but if u played polarized - jefferson seems to mention it few times that Max would be the winner, instead of Victoria (who doesn’t get him like „Max does”/doesn’t understand their „connection”), he even admits that Max is his masterpiece/is better in his eyes - than Rachel was, which [she] never couldn’t look „in the right direction” . In the alternative timeline, when Max enters the photo, she wins. I won’t even quote the creepy things he said to her, but I think in his creepy mind Max was more „pure/innocent” than Victoria. The one thing I wonder about is Kate, because she was clearly more „innocent” than Max was, but it seems from the beginning, that Jefferson was more obsessed with Max. Maybe that’s why he wanted to keep her to the very end.
You know who sets off alarm bells for me? Warren. Yeah, at first it seems like he has a harmless crush on Max that Max is oblivious to (but Brooke sees it, hence her mild bitchiness) but what really gets me is when Brooke just casually mentions that Warren tagged Max with a GPS. You couple that with the MAX folder on his flash drive that Dana warns you about and the game won't let you look at and something seems off. Then again Max isn't surprised when Brooke brings up the GPS so maybe she knew about it. I dunno, this game just makes me suspicious of everyone at this point. Hell, I'm half-convinced Kate's rabbit knows more that it's letting on.
Ravenite456 I think Brooke was joking about the GPS, that's probably why Max didn't really react to it. I mean I don't know what person in their right mind wouldn't be bothered about being tagged with a tracker. Plus I doubt Warren would be dumb enough to leave a Max folder sitting out in the open on his flash drive, then GIVE her that flash drive if there were something creepy in it. I thought that was just the folder of stuff he wanted her to watch? That said, he could still know something/be involved with whatever's going on. He pays an awful lot of attention to Max, plus he's hanging around outside Max's building when her room gets trashed and she gets that scary text. There's not really solid evidence against him so far, but I think that would be an interesting direction to take it.
Maybe a little bit. Don't get me wrong, he's a bit quirky, and I really think some are misinterpreting the character. I'm sure we'll see drama with him, at some point, and we'll see how it all plays out.
Max finding duct tape in Jefferson's classroom when building the "bomb" to get into the principal's office is the best foreshadowing / clue to Jefferson being the villian. A photographer would never use duct tape in a photo shoot, they would use gaffer tape (photographers constantly use gaffer tape as a quick fix to get around many of the obstacles that they face every day, due to the fact that it is tough, heat resistant, and it doesn't leave nasty residue like duct tape).
It just hit me when I started my second playthrough today. It hit me that the John Lennon quote could tie into the foreshadowing. An artist with a dark side when it came to women. Maybe that one is a bit of a stretch. But just a thought.

I kinda guessed a while ago that me Jefferson would be the bad Guy and that David would be the good Guy just because David was the Dick from the Begining and mr Jefferson was the cool hip dude who got on your good side but like you said nothing is proven yet its classic writing
I just posted this on a steam forum like 5 minutes before watching this video: The letter you find in the junkyard from Rachel to Chloe mentioning someone that she is secretly romantically involved with. That is a pretty big piece of evidence combined with testimony from the homeless woman (that she saw Rachel with an older man around town), testimony from Stella (who says that Rachel may have slept with Jefferson), Jefferson's somber expression whenever Rachel is brought up in conversation; all lead me to believe that Rachel was romantically involved with Jefferson. ALSO! The letter mentions that this guy is "Kind of scary, not in a "bad boy way", he's just experience some serious shit" , as well as "I know you'll have a meltdown when I tell you and you'll think he's gross, but I SWEAR he's wise and unconventional"; all of these descriptions point directly to Jefferson. In the end with all of this evidence I'm not sure whether to suspect him or feel sorry for him yet, but his is involved in all of this in a big way. But hey, thats just a theory!... Geek Remix yeah, you're right, fuck this guy. But what I meant was that I'm not 100% sure he was involved in Rachel's disappearance even if everything points to him. Like you said, we're only 2 episodes in and it would be to easy for him to be the villan.
BoldCaster I don't doubt Jefferson slept with her, but kinda unconventionally think that the "older man" Rachel is talking about might have been Samuel. Hear me out - scary but not in a bad boy way? Definitely creepy in his own way. "Wise" points more towards Samuel than Jefferson, and "unconventional" - do I really need to elaborate on that one? The dude speaks on spirit animals and nearly everything sounds like part of a parable. Doubt many people would consider Jefferson "gross" from an appearance perspective, but Sammy's got that in spades. On top of all that, look at the stuff in Samuel's closet. He has a box, not only with Rachel's photos, but with a bunch of sunglasses. Rachel liked playing dressup, but Samuel never wears sunglasses, at least as far as we've seen...and we've seen him in sun. It was a lot of sunglasses too, really points to dressing up. The box was labeled "Sammy's Stuff," and Samuel hasn't called himself that before - not that we've seen at least. Now add to that the way he radiantly speaks of her and how secretive he is regarding the way they knew each other. He's the only character I can think of who's reluctant when directly asked to talk about how he knew Rachel. But he clearly holds her in high regard. Just saying, that'd be a heck of a twist, and it'd tie up all the loose ends around Samuel's weird remarks about her.
Geek Remix Plus, he thinks photography should be about happiness and rainbows, considering the way he talked about Dianne Arbus. Interestingly, she committed suicide. I wonder if that was supposed to be a subtle hint at Kate in some regard? Hmm....
Great attention to detail. There was a lot of foreshadowing, though I never pegged him as the killer until about halfway through episode 4 when the clues became more apparent. You caught this by the end of episode 3...nicely done.
Am I still the only one who kinda likes Mr. Jefferson. I just... my first impression of him was a cool teacher. Even though I know I should be wary of him in the future, can't help, but love 'em.

You continue to blow my mind with your insight each and every time you make a 'Fan Theory' video. I don't quite know how you uncover the level of deep hidden meaning as well as you have. I wonder what we can uncover still from these 2 Episodes. The 1 thing that I hope though, is that our theories don't create overly-ambitious expectations. Hopefully we don't set ourselves up to be let down if our fan-fiction hits on what the game doesn't deliver on.
dhuyd I think her theories are actually mostly reasonable really. They're somewhere between the surface interpretations that most people make (and are often wrong because the story IS deeper than that), and the crazy stuff that um, people like me like to engage in (I mean for Dragon Age I get REALLY effing wacky, but don't have strong evidence to back myself up, unlike Mari)
"Doth protest too much" is often misused- in Shakespeare's play, during the time it was written, when he says that Ophelia "doth protest too much" he actually means something more like "profess too much". In context the speaker was implying that Ophelia was making a promise she couldn't keep; i.e. promising that she didn't have feelings for Hamlet anymore and wouldn't see him again... or something along those lines.
Wow. This was from back in April? Bravo. There's gotta be even more details in eps 3 and 4. I was honestly shocked, but I think the month-and-a-half between episodes definitely eroded a lot of the details in my mind. I can't wait to replay the entire story and see all of these little references for myself.
Something to add to that Mark Jefferson is a creep... if when Kate calls you up you take her call (letting Chloe get all angry), then later when you talk to Mr. Jefferson you can tell him about the phone call. So we know for sure that he knows you spoke with Kate. Then later if you fail to save Kate, if you blame Mr Jefferson, he seemingly accepts the blame but then claims that Kate was upset because Max missed her call, and then he tries to shift the blame over to David. So while he doesn't get outright hostile toward you for blaming him, he does tell an out outright lie about you and Kate. Something Kate can't confirm or deny now because she's dead.
If you look at Mr Jefferson's photos on display in the school grounds they take on a new significance after episode 4. The photo at 1:19 is clearly a representation of Kate as they look quite similar, having the same hairstyle, and holding her bunny. The photo at 1:30 I would say is Rachel Amber's double, as again they have a similar appearance and the graffiti'd wall is representing her and Chloe's junkyard den. The photo at 1:56 however I would guess is what Max is going to be, as their hair is short and, clearly, the windmill behind the girl is the same as in the barn by the Dark Room.
Oh wow looking back at all of this, and you were so, so right about everything. EVEN IN EPISODE 1 THEY LITERALLY FORESHADOWED THAT HE WAS THE BAD GUY, IT SLIPPED UNDER A LOT OF OUR NOSES, AND MARI WAS RIGHT 2015

After playing EP 4 it is obvious that Mr Jefferson is the main antagonist ( bad guy of the series) I think he is controlling Nathan to drug and take innocent girls to the dark room and take pictures of them, seriously creepy man.....

Jefferson are a creepy teacher and I nearly barged out several times in episode 4 because the scenes got too disgusting. I still the love the game and it was so amazing. Tilo Burger *Episode 4 Spoilers* So this was a subtle hint for Mr.Jefferson when finding the dark room. Same red binders and that was him making the binder for Kate at the end of the episode she tried to kill herself in.
I had a feeling from the start of the game that Jefferson is the culprit. But holy hell your analysis is on point. Of all the things you mentioned, the only thing I noticed very peculiar at the start of the game is the fact that Jefferson's emphasis on innocence and his affection towards Max. This alone is enough to convince me that Jefferson will undergo plot twist moment from the get go. It is even more convincing when the game basically subtly foreshadow him towards each episode (rumour that rachel had relationship with him? Come on now).

Yes! Least I'm not the only one creeped out/grossed out by him. Btw... You made me think of something I hadn't thought of before. When Chloe was drugged before, do you think her hair was dyed then or dyed afterwards? I always just assumed that her hair was blue, but if it was her original color... blonde.... there could be a pattern. Eh now I'm just spouting off things. I have a feeling that Rachel was one of those girls that played multiple angles on "how to get out of Arcadia bay" including Jefferson.
This some amazingly good sleuthing and psychoanalysis. I hear people come up with theories about various things regarding different media, but oftentimes they seem unrealistic or poorly founded. From what feels *to me* like little-to-no indications of Mr. Jefferson being suspicious or suspect, you come up with an amazing set of support for what you single-handedly propped up to be a plausible -or even likely- scenario. I totally agree with you, It felt weird that he said he "misses" Rachel because he doesn't seem to be THAT close to the rest of the students so far. He might be the "soft voice" Kate heard.

It's not Jefferson's though. In the bunker, there's a bill for it and Sean Prescott signed for it. All I know is there's something going on between Nathan, his dad, and Jefferson.
Kiku Salvador Definitely thought this was odd too. And David has a bunker as well and is known to have strong links to the Prescotts. I'd say the Prescotts/Jefferson/David at the very least know something about the coming storm and possibly about Max's powers as well. I wondered if Nathan's mental health issues stemmed from similar powers (or having those powers used on him.) Max's nosebleeds indicate that there's a price to pay for using the powers. Perhaps Nathan has already paid that price?
+Lynda Clark VERY late. But you should look up "Nathan deleted voice clips Life is Strange" You'll find exactly what you're weary of. ;) Another thing to note. The prescott's were making a housing development in Arcadia Bay. Strange how the whole town was wiped out and now in order to stay everyone would have to buy from the prescott's development? Odd indeed.
This game blew me away. Hands down one of THE BEST games/stories I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Maybe its because I'm just a guy but I never suspected Jefferson. My jaw dropped and my blood pressure rose high in anger when I found out it was him. I kept trying to go back in my memory and look for hints when the son of a bitch revealed himself. Love your theory on all of this.
This theory is almost completely accurate, oh my god! I just finished episode 4 and...oh my god! Although, it turns out that the letter Rachel wrote was probably referring to Frank and not Mr. Jefferson .

I just have to say you are a friggin Genius! a true G... just beat Ep 4, and I just had to start over from episode 1, and I noticed just how bizarre Mr. Jefferson was. If you pay attention to his speech at the very beginning, he talks about capturing the perfect moment of innocence in the dark room.
The thought crossed my mind. There's so many possibilities. I definitely think someone isn't who they say they are. Someone from the past or the future is doing something in the present. I also get the feeling that at least one other person has powers. I don't know who, I don't know what they can do, but I definitely think there's someone else.

Clearly indicating that the Prescott family line has existed for a long LONG time. OR maybe Jefferson has time-travelling powers similar to Max as well, but just what I think :)
From the moment I finished the 1st episode, i guessed she was stuck in a time loop but didn't give it much thought. Your Life is Strange videos are really great and now I'm feeling like theorizing as well! Max is stuck in a time loop as she always goes back at the last moment realizing the solution. It explains why she ends up in Mr. Jefferson's class. The concept of world lines puts it into a much better perspective. World lines are basically unique paths which have a specific outcome. In the original world line Nathan kills someone and faces the consequences which affects everyone. A shift in world line can only be caused by changing a major event which in this case is Nathan not killing anyone. When Max saves Chloe, there is a timeline jump. The reason there is a tornado can be explained by the butterfly effect which basically means every small change will keep on mounting till a major change happens in the future. As for a solution, the only way to stop a timeline jump is to keep the outcome same, in other words someone has to die by Nathans hands. P.S. I based this on your video's and an awesome anime called Steins;Gate!

Another thing that's interesting/creepy about Mr. Jefferson: in one of my playthroughs, after Max tells Mr. Jefferson that she doesn't want Kate to be the next Rachel Amber, he says "Kate is nothing like Rachel", in an angry/rude tone, which was really weird to me. But, after listening to this it makes sense; if he like girls who are "innocent", he probably was going to make Kate his next Rachel Amber until she lost that innocence due to what happened at the Vortex Club party.

I think the game's goal was to make Madsen the red herring while Jefferson is the real culprit. Everything is set up to point to Madsen being a bad guy and Max herself seems to focus on him and overlook Jefferson. I honestly fell for it until I started watching prediction videos. Now it's pretty obvious to me that Madsen has been trying to help while Jefferson is the bad guy.

Evanz111 I do realize it, and Jefferson being the bad guy is my main suspicion, but still blamed Nathan 'cause Max can't really blame Jefferson for what happened to Kate. Considering Max has the testimony of one of her best friends (Chloe) about Nathan actually drugging her and intending to film her, then the testimony of Kate, being suspicious of Nathan as well which confirms what Chloe said (Kate and Chloe are not friends, so Kate couldn't know about Chloe's story, yet both their stories are quite similar) Also, Max heard Chloe and Nathan's conversation in the bathroom about Nathan dealing with drugs, then there's Victoria's conversation on the showers saying she knows Nathan hooked Kate up with some drugs... So, unless there are a lot of lies and misunderstandings in the middle that Max don't know of yet, it's pretty obvious Nathan's quite responsible of Kate's video and her suicidal state. And after all, he's an asshole who shot someone, and Max saw that herself, which in my opinion, is far worse than anything we've seen Madsen or Jefferson do so far.

I think he's most likely investigating what's going on with the girls at Blackwell, maybe triggered by what happened to Rachel. Yeah, he's harsh in his ways, but he's a military man after all. And if he was killing, abducting, or doing anything criminal to girls, I don't think he'd be so obviously taking pics of them on campus where everyone can see him. He's definitely investigating something.

i vaguely thought of mr jefferson as the real culprit behind everything - i got suspicious of him in episode 2 because of his conversation with kate. but then i decided it was a fluke and i felt like i was being too suspicious of everybody. i put him out of my mind as being a bad guy for two whole episodes after that...
but then he gave that speech at the vortex club party and he totally rubbed me the wrong way. at that particular moment my suspicion of him became really strong again, but then i was too late in piecing things together. i was really shocked at the end of chapter four and i was mad at myself for not seeing it coming earlier >:(

i know i’m late for the party but if u played polarized - jefferson seems to mention it few times that Max would be the winner, instead of Victoria (who doesn’t get him like „Max does”/doesn’t understand their „connection”), he even admits that Max is his masterpiece/is better in his eyes - than Rachel was, which [she] never couldn’t look „in the right direction” . In the alternative timeline, when Max enters the photo, she wins. I won’t even quote the creepy things he said to her, but I think in his creepy mind Max was more „pure/innocent” than Victoria. The one thing I wonder about is Kate, because she was clearly more „innocent” than Max was, but it seems from the beginning, that Jefferson was more obsessed with Max. Maybe that’s why he wanted to keep her to the very end.

You know who sets off alarm bells for me? Warren. Yeah, at first it seems like he has a harmless crush on Max that Max is oblivious to (but Brooke sees it, hence her mild bitchiness) but what really gets me is when Brooke just casually mentions that Warren tagged Max with a GPS. You couple that with the MAX folder on his flash drive that Dana warns you about and the game won't let you look at and something seems off.
Then again Max isn't surprised when Brooke brings up the GPS so maybe she knew about it. I dunno, this game just makes me suspicious of everyone at this point. Hell, I'm half-convinced Kate's rabbit knows more that it's letting on.

Ravenite456 I think Brooke was joking about the GPS, that's probably why Max didn't really react to it. I mean I don't know what person in their right mind wouldn't be bothered about being tagged with a tracker. Plus I doubt Warren would be dumb enough to leave a Max folder sitting out in the open on his flash drive, then GIVE her that flash drive if there were something creepy in it. I thought that was just the folder of stuff he wanted her to watch?
That said, he could still know something/be involved with whatever's going on. He pays an awful lot of attention to Max, plus he's hanging around outside Max's building when her room gets trashed and she gets that scary text. There's not really solid evidence against him so far, but I think that would be an interesting direction to take it.

Maybe a little bit. Don't get me wrong, he's a bit quirky, and I really think some are misinterpreting the character. I'm sure we'll see drama with him, at some point, and we'll see how it all plays out.
Max finding duct tape in Jefferson's classroom when building the "bomb" to get into the principal's office is the best foreshadowing / clue to Jefferson being the villian. A photographer would never use duct tape in a photo shoot, they would use gaffer tape (photographers constantly use gaffer tape as a quick fix to get around many of the obstacles that they face every day, due to the fact that it is tough, heat resistant, and it doesn't leave nasty residue like duct tape).
It just hit me when I started my second playthrough today. It hit me that the John Lennon quote could tie into the foreshadowing. An artist with a dark side when it came to women.
Maybe that one is a bit of a stretch. But just a thought.

I just posted this on a steam forum like 5 minutes before watching this video: The letter you find in the junkyard from Rachel to Chloe mentioning someone that she is secretly romantically involved with. That is a pretty big piece of evidence combined with testimony from the homeless woman (that she saw Rachel with an older man around town), testimony from Stella (who says that Rachel may have slept with Jefferson), Jefferson's somber expression whenever Rachel is brought up in conversation; all lead me to believe that Rachel was romantically involved with Jefferson. ALSO! The letter mentions that this guy is "Kind of scary, not in a "bad boy way", he's just experience some serious shit" , as well as "I know you'll have a meltdown when I tell you and you'll think he's gross, but I SWEAR he's wise and unconventional"; all of these descriptions point directly to Jefferson. In the end with all of this evidence I'm not sure whether to suspect him or feel sorry for him yet, but his is involved in all of this in a big way.

Hear me out - scary but not in a bad boy way? Definitely creepy in his own way. "Wise" points more towards Samuel than Jefferson, and "unconventional" - do I really need to elaborate on that one? The dude speaks on spirit animals and nearly everything sounds like part of a parable. Doubt many people would consider Jefferson "gross" from an appearance perspective, but Sammy's got that in spades.
On top of all that, look at the stuff in Samuel's closet. He has a box, not only with Rachel's photos, but with a bunch of sunglasses. Rachel liked playing dressup, but Samuel never wears sunglasses, at least as far as we've seen...and we've seen him in sun. It was a lot of sunglasses too, really points to dressing up. The box was labeled "Sammy's Stuff," and Samuel hasn't called himself that before - not that we've seen at least.
Now add to that the way he radiantly speaks of her and how secretive he is regarding the way they knew each other. He's the only character I can think of who's reluctant when directly asked to talk about how he knew Rachel. But he clearly holds her in high regard. Just saying, that'd be a heck of a twist, and it'd tie up all the loose ends around Samuel's weird remarks about her.
Geek Remix Plus, he thinks photography should be about happiness and rainbows, considering the way he talked about Dianne Arbus. Interestingly, she committed suicide. I wonder if that was supposed to be a subtle hint at Kate in some regard?

"Doth protest too much" is often misused- in Shakespeare's play, during the time it was written, when he says that Ophelia "doth protest too much" he actually means something more like "profess too much". In context the speaker was implying that Ophelia was making a promise she couldn't keep; i.e. promising that she didn't have feelings for Hamlet anymore and wouldn't see him again... or something along those lines.

Something to add to that Mark Jefferson is a creep... if when Kate calls you up you take her call (letting Chloe get all angry), then later when you talk to Mr. Jefferson you can tell him about the phone call. So we know for sure that he knows you spoke with Kate. Then later if you fail to save Kate, if you blame Mr Jefferson, he seemingly accepts the blame but then claims that Kate was upset because Max missed her call, and then he tries to shift the blame over to David. So while he doesn't get outright hostile toward you for blaming him, he does tell an out outright lie about you and Kate. Something Kate can't confirm or deny now because she's dead.
If you look at Mr Jefferson's photos on display in the school grounds they take on a new significance after episode 4. The photo at 1:19 is clearly a representation of Kate as they look quite similar, having the same hairstyle, and holding her bunny. The photo at 1:30 I would say is Rachel Amber's double, as again they have a similar appearance and the graffiti'd wall is representing her and Chloe's junkyard den. The photo at 1:56 however I would guess is what Max is going to be, as their hair is short and, clearly, the windmill behind the girl is the same as in the barn by the Dark Room.
Oh wow looking back at all of this, and you were so, so right about everything.

After playing EP 4 it is obvious that Mr Jefferson is the main antagonist ( bad guy of the series) I think he is controlling Nathan to drug and take innocent girls to the dark room and take pictures of them, seriously creepy man.....

YOu are amazing! Everything you said in this episode ( 3 MONTHS AGO ) is completely true! After watching and playing LiS episode 4, everything was revealed, mr. Jefferson are a creepy teacher and I nearly barged out several times in episode 4 because the scenes got too disgusting. I still the love the game and it was so amazing.

So this was a subtle hint for Mr.Jefferson when finding the dark room. Same red binders and that was him making the binder for Kate at the end of the episode she tried to kill herself in.
Did you stick around at the endings? The red binders show up as the last scenes of episodes 1 and 2 as cliffhangers.
Wait... Don't tell me it's a scene after credits.. Because indeed... I haven't watched the ending of the credits XD

The binders are the very last shots we are given at the ending cutscenes of Episodes 1 and 2 right before the credits roll.
I had a feeling from the start of the game that Jefferson is the culprit. But holy hell your analysis is on point. Of all the things you mentioned, the only thing I noticed very peculiar at the start of the game is the fact that Jefferson's emphasis on innocence and his affection towards Max. This alone is enough to convince me that Jefferson will undergo plot twist moment from the get go. It is even more convincing when the game basically subtly foreshadow him towards each episode (rumour that rachel had relationship with him? Come on now).

When Chloe was drugged before, do you think her hair was dyed then or dyed afterwards? This some amazingly good sleuthing and psychoanalysis. I hear people come up with theories about various things regarding different media, but oftentimes they seem unrealistic or poorly founded.
From what feels *to me* like little-to-no indications of Mr. Jefferson being suspicious or suspect, you come up with an amazing set of support for what you single-handedly propped up to be a plausible -or even likely- scenario. Of course you're right as well. Very well done.

Isn't it odd that Mr. Jefferson has a storm bunker? And Max gained her powers during the weak the strange things began happening? Does Mr. Jefferson know that the tornado is coming and is aware of Max's power? Or am I being too paranoid?

Kiku Salvador Definitely thought this was odd too. And David has a bunker as well and is known to have strong links to the Prescotts. I'd say the Prescotts/Jefferson/David at the very least know something about the coming storm and possibly about Max's powers as well. I wondered if Nathan's mental health issues stemmed from similar powers (or having those powers used on him.) Max's nosebleeds indicate that there's a price to pay for using the powers. Perhaps Nathan has already paid that price?
+Lynda Clark VERY late. But you should look up "Nathan deleted voice clips Life is Strange" You'll find exactly what you're weary of. ;) Another thing to note. The prescott's were making a housing development in Arcadia Bay. Strange how the whole town was wiped out and now in order to stay everyone would have to buy from the prescott's development? Odd indeed.

ShadowCrowX Well if Mr. Jefferson likes girls that seem innocent then Victoria would not fit the bill. If being seen as an authority figure is a turn on then Victoria seeing him as Mark instead of Mr. Jefferson would do the opposite.
I just have to say you are a friggin Genius! a true G... just beat Ep 4, and I just had to start over from episode 1, and I noticed just how bizarre Mr. Jefferson was. If you pay attention to his speech at the very beginning, he talks about capturing the perfect moment of innocence in the dark room.

The thought crossed my mind. There's so many possibilities. I definitely think someone isn't who they say they are. Someone from the past or the future is doing something in the present. I also get the feeling that at least one other person has powers. I don't know who, I don't know what they can do, but I definitely think there's someone else.

Clearly indicating that the Prescott family line has existed for a long LONG time. OR maybe Jefferson has time-travelling powers similar to Max as well, but just what I think :)

From the moment I finished the 1st episode, i guessed she was stuck in a time loop but didn't give it much thought. Your Life is Strange videos are really great and now I'm feeling like theorizing as well!
Max is stuck in a time loop as she always goes back at the last moment realizing the solution. It explains why she ends up in Mr. Jefferson's class. The concept of world lines puts it into a much better perspective. World lines are basically unique paths which have a specific outcome. In the original world line Nathan kills someone and faces the consequences which affects everyone. A shift in world line can only be caused by changing a major event which in this case is Nathan not killing anyone. When Max saves Chloe, there is a timeline jump. The reason there is a tornado can be explained by the butterfly effect which basically means every small change will keep on mounting till a major change happens in the future. As for a solution, the only way to stop a timeline jump is to keep the outcome same, in other words someone has to die by Nathans hands. P.S. I based this on your video's and an awesome anime called Steins;Gate!
