I watched a video very similar to this one a while ago, on the video I commented “wow wish I had more chances to help people out like this.” The next time I went skiing, I heard a little girl crying in the woods. She had crashed and was crying for her mom. I went over there and asked is she needed help and she said yes. I talked to her and calmed her down while I helped her get her skis back on. I slowly helped her out of the woods, planning to go to the bottom of the lift to search for her mom. Right as we made it out of the trees her mom was waiting 20 ft away. Se got overly excited and went too fast on the moguls and fell down yet again, but she was 5ft away from her mom now so I took off. Glad I had the chance to help her out, and it’s interesting how sometimes wishes really do come true.

I've always loved the snowboarders as a skier. SNowboarders have rescued me a few times and have picked up my trail of equipment after a wipeout. That's the beauty of skiing and snowboarding man, we're all friends on the mountain ❤️

Exhaustion is real out there in deep snow! You may have saved her from more than just “being stuck”❤

The amount of times some random dude has picked up a ski for me when I yard sale or I’ve done the same for someone else is insane. Its like mountain culture to help other people no matter what and I love it

I spotted a little girl (5yo?), from the lift, on a snowboard stuck in a side drift. It was small, but for her it came up her waste. No parent in sight. By the time I got there the dad had hiked back up the hill to get her. Please don't get ahead of your little kids....

I can’t tell from the video but it seems like her skis failed to release her boots. Make sure before skiing that your skis pop off with moderate pressure. Test them a few times before venturing out. Not too tight not too loose otherwise you will have a hard time getting up once you hit the ground.

This happened to me in 5th grade on a field trip. I was stuck and lost for about and hour and a half patrol was looking for me but never found me, luckily some snowboarders seen me from the lift and came down and helped me out, or I probly would of froze to death and died shout out those snowboarders.

I was rescued by a group of snowboarders once too! I’m terrible in the snow since I’m from the coast but they were soooooooo f’n cool and made me feel so comfortable while all tangled up and under a ton of snow. They escorted me to the station and offered me some guiding, which I obviously took. Thank you Nate, Francis and Nikos!!!

One thing that I loved when I was snowboarding was that everybody was always looking out for one another.

I’m new at the mountain and I can honestly say you will see humans beings in they’re best form and behavior. I love the energy the mountain brings out in people. So yes if you needed help people are coming to your rescue you can bet your last lift ride on it!

While doing a solo snow trip in Japan I got stuck in deep powder and tree wells. I was just heading down the mountain to get my gloves that I forgot.. I honestly thought I was going to die.. took me like 2 hours to get out and by the time I did I was pouring with sweat, hands were cold as shit trying to compact the snow to have a base to push out on. Intense, loved it.

❤ I was stuck in this kind of thick snow once, ended up calling the ski patrol for rescue. Wish I had met kind people like you at the time.

Anyone who skis off trail esp in powder needs bright clothing and tie bright string to bindings to help find skis if they separate from boots. The trick is to use skis like a rolling pin to flatten a surface wide enuf to heave up first one then the second boot into the bindings.
