ESIC should be some kind bigger org with specific esport integrity commisions below it, like for example: a CS integrity commision investigates the coaching bugs and such... and act on it. but if someone fights it (thinks its a not a fair ban or whatever) then they go to ESIC and they do their research and bring in a 3rd party to investigate or smth. so instead of ESIC doing everything, they have specific boards that keep their own esport in check... like cs,lol,dota have their own commisions, if someone cheats in dota they should be investigated by the dota board, not the cs or league boards. think of it as how its done in real life motorsports with FIA and such.
the entire problem with esic comes down to money issues, they just don't have the funding that orgs like uefa/fifa or f1 have. people don't spend money on esports, and barely any of the money that is actually spent on it goes to esic.
Really disagree with Moses’ C9 take. This team is still one of the youngest teams at the major. 4 of their players are 20 and 21 years old and havent even reached the peaks of their careers. This team will definitely continue to improve imo, as long as they continue to get the experience which obviously they will. They are a no brainer for top 4 in my eyes. Like the last 10% thing doesnt make sense to me bc I really think they will get there. I dont think theyll play worse than in Stockholm. They only improved.

If Faze were to ever win a major, it has to be Antwerp. A team just as good and deeper than the one in Boston. And with way more chill players and personalities. But for some reason I just feel like they will find a way to fall at the finish line again. Due to the history of Faze clan at majors. The fact that no one has won one yet and that all eyes are now on them and anything below a final will be considered by many a failure. It is important to remember that the first Faze superteam in 2017 won events and were also favorites to win the Boston Major, especially because Cloud 9 at the time had never won a map against them. Now it is different circumstances that matter a lot. Particularly for the top 2 CIS squads in Navi and Cloud 9. But still, something tells me that Faze will either choke or bomb out completely.
I totally see your point but here is where I feel different. Everyone on this team came to Faze or stayed on Faze for Karrigan and trusts him. The 2018 Faze not everyone trusted or supported Karrigan and I think the fire power is much stronger now. Obviously they don’t have Niko and no matter how amazing Ropz has been we can’t have recent bias because Niko 2016-2021 was fuçking insane and will be hard for anyone to duplicate. But Ropz is as close as you can get imo. Plus with Twistzz playing at his high level really helps and Broky is showing everyone he is a Top 5 Awper currently. All of that makes it so much easier for Rain to really frag out and play his style. And we don’t need to rely on Karrigan to clutch and get a lot of high kill rounds. I think they’re playing such an impressive level of CS currently that I think they can really get it done without any worries. However I agree… if they want a Major it HAS to be Antwerp.

Why noone gives a shit about Eternal Fire? This guys went 3-2 and they get their losses against Faze and Vitality. They won 2 bo3's with 2-0 fashion. They are not a bo1 team but they have great map pool too. This has to be mentioned. EF and BNE are my two underdogs for other stage. This two teams have match against each other 1st round, and whoever wins this it doesnt matter, I am pretty sure both teams go 2-2 and one of them qualify to other stage. You will see me in a week again. :)
The Major final will be Cloud 9 vs Faze... it will be an absolute monster of a series cloud 9 will come from a map behind and from a 15-9 hole and only on the back of a Stewie 2k clutch with the awp Cloud 9 will be the Maj.... oh wait... I forgot it's 2022 But hopefully Karrigan can finally shut his critics up and grab a major... very deserving!
I really disagree with moses. Cloud9 is an actual Top 4 contender. Probably a 100 percent alongside NaVi and FaZe. I fell like they have a real shot against this 2 teams before the finals cuz then pressure starts to roll.

Those coaches, and org surely working really hard, prepare for major then esic make a PR stunt and give some sour feelings to players especially. Hear me out… Let’s take a 🍃 out of “tradition” sports leagues and try the following. Localised tournament, Europe, NA & SA, CIS, APJ all run their own local leagues under the ESL PRO LEAGUE banner. Each match within these leagues play the short games that valve introduced, but are BO3, quick, simple and mean teams may need shorter punchier tactics. Each regional league has a tier, 1,2 and 3 teams etc. this will also include ESEA & FI leagues in order to get promoted to the higher tier, so we can really get the grass routes CS for all regions to try and increase the length of our sport. The top 4/5 top teams in each league move onto the major and blast groups, the 6,7,8 teams in each league move into the best of 3 short games that get these teams into the major / blast completion along side the top teams.

ESIC is not better than nothing. If the findings of Michal Slowinski were simply released publicly instead of being hidden and only shown to ESIC, individual tournament organizers would have been able to execute the exact same bans, likely with fairer rulings than what ESIC has been doing.

Its not sudden in the slightest lmao. Everyone has had an issue with ESIC since their first wave of bans. They are doing the classic blindfolded shotgun technique with banning coaches. Even if a coach Disconnects half way through the round they get banned. Thats insane. At this point it isn't about who uses the bug. Its a complete game of luck with these coaches careers. (At least the honest ones) if you get the bug, intentional or not, you get banned. Doesn't matter if you leave your pc, dc from the server, mute in teamspeak, or shut off your monitor. If it happens. You're done. The game decides your fate and ESIC hands out the punishments

jackz is inconsistent. he contributes near to nothing for 7 rounds then gets an unbelievable 3k entry frag and just wins the round, then goes back to contributing nothing. yekindar fits jackz's role and does it better, plus yekindar speaks fluent english

Gambits online run makes u wonder if they did abuse the coach bug or smth. Heroic won tournaments online ( with hunden using the coach bug), so did Gambit use it also.
Heroic didn’t win using the coach bug tho. At least according to the investigations and cadian’s word. At the same time, gambit were just the best team at that time, no use speculating.

Love Moses, but a former coach getting super defensive over the idea of coaches getting punished over a single round, and wanting players to rise to defend coaches from said punishments is a little fishy. (obviously his points do have merit on their own, just something I noticed)

I dont get this sudden outcry against ESIC. Why accept the previous bans and ESIC's authority then and not now?
ESIC has very clearly maintained since the beginning that they do not have the resources. The power that ESIC has is equally in the hands of the community and TOs now than it was 2 years ago.
ESIC is literally less people than there were on this show with less influence.
ESIC has always been a something that is better than nothing, deal with it or go against it, dont sit in the middle and cry...
ESIC is not better than nothing. If the findings of Michal Slowinski were simply released publicly instead of being hidden and only shown to ESIC, individual tournament organizers would have been able to execute the exact same bans, likely with fairer rulings than what ESIC has been doing.

Its not sudden in the slightest lmao. Everyone has had an issue with ESIC since their first wave of bans. They are doing the classic blindfolded shotgun technique with banning coaches. Even if a coach Disconnects half way through the round they get banned. Thats insane. At this point it isn't about who uses the bug. Its a complete game of luck with these coaches careers. (At least the honest ones) if you get the bug, intentional or not, you get banned. Doesn't matter if you leave your pc, dc from the server, mute in teamspeak, or shut off your monitor. If it happens. You're done. The game decides your fate and ESIC hands out the punishments

jackz is inconsistent. he contributes near to nothing for 7 rounds then gets an unbelievable 3k entry frag and just wins the round, then goes back to contributing nothing. yekindar fits jackz's role and does it better, plus yekindar speaks fluent english

Gambits online run makes u wonder if they did abuse the coach bug or smth. Heroic won tournaments online ( with hunden using the coach bug), so did Gambit use it also.

Heroic didn’t win using the coach bug tho. At least according to the investigations and cadian’s word.
At the same time, gambit were just the best team at that time, no use speculating.
