Assalam alaykum, ustadh, I am seeking personal advice, I have the opportunity to study either the Shaafi'i or Hanbali madhab, which one do you recommend if one's goal is to look at the ahadith, their authenticity as well as deriving the fiqh from them, does one of these two madhab complement this goal more than the other? BarakAllahu feekum.

@@yassinhassan336imam al shafii was an ahlul hadith scholar which also did use qias where he considered it valid that is in his al risalah (his usool of fiqh maybe the starter of the whole usul ilm) and u could also see examples of it in his work called al umm, in the other hand imam abu hanufa was of what ahlul hadith call ahlul rai wal qias since he lived in iraq and the hadith scene was a little bit complicated(because of tons of maudooat and daeef hadiths from liars) so he ofc used much more qias so did his ashab rahiahummullah, so i would consider imam al shafii and his ashab such as muzani buwaiti humaydi etc. more of what you would call Hadith and athar scholars and allah knows best

It’s never too late to learn Arabic and attend Quran classes, listen to the ulemah directly and attend their gatherings when they visit your location. Otherwise, raise children who can do, like the brother Mohammad Abdurrazaq said his father wasn’t a student knowledge.

Arabic is the key to beneficial knowledge. You don't have the key, you knowledge will always be SECOND-HAND! YOUR AQIIDAH will always depend on whoever translated it for you!

@@Abdullaah94 Some pieces of advice regarding these playlists is to get an actual copy of the book and not just a pdf. And you’ll notice some of the books get repeated because the scholars recommend doing a book several times to master it.
The first channel I recommended teaches in English and the rest in pure Arabic. However, don’t worry. By the time you finish learning in English, you won’t have any trouble doing the rest in Arabic InshaAllah.
The main main main subjects when studying Arabic are these:
      1. Nahw (grammar)
      2. Sarf (morphology)
      3. Balaghah (eloquence)
      4. Vocabulary
The posted playlists are meant for the first three. If you want to improve your vocabulary, you’ll need to reading outside these.

@@Abdullaah94 You’ll probably wondering, how long will it take to finish all of these playlists? About 4-5 years if you’re smart and hard working. And maybe 10 years if you’re slow and hard working. And never if you’re lazy irrespective of if you’re smart or dumb.
Personally, if Allah the Most High allows me, I intend to finish all of the said playlists unless I find something better InshAllah. Feel free to ask any questions.
