I have a sunburst Dean select with more of a Gibson explorer headstock. Bought mine sometime early 2000. I have never seen this headstock shown for this model. I'll send you a photo of it.

I've always wanted a Dean caddilac.... But every single one I've played just felt nasty, Literally every Dean I've played just felt like I was either playing on rusty nails as frets or wouldn't stay in tune for anything... Which is a shame cause I actually like their V style necks and i'm one of few that like the shape of the ML back before they plastered dimebags name all over them... Though i'm curious did you ever think about trying one of those new Dean zelinksy guitars with the "Z-Glide" neck? they just carve a a pattern into the back of the neck apparently it makes it feel like you can move around quicker kind of like astroglide i suppose
