Yeah garage band is definitely a hidden gem that not enough people talk about when talking about iPhones, it’s even better on iPad, the digital instruments sound great once you learn how to use em and tweak em. Very user friendly, and if you’re off beat on a drum track it’s got quantization to put you back on beat. It’s amazing what a device that fits in your pocket can do

The only one I’ve actually found so far that helps... goodness I literally have been trying to figure out something... bought a mic I have to return because it showed an iPad hooked up.... with a splitter... I literally just want to record the christian songs I sung to my child before they were an adult... I just realized I have another question what if you’re doing this with an instrumental instead of making a beat as you go? I saw another video where a girl was using one phone to hear an instrumental whole she used her phone to record. I tried that but the issue came in was that I couldn’t get the instrumental and my voice to be on same time lol
Try finding the tempo of the beat and link up the tempo in GarageBand with the vocals. You might need to move the vocals around until you find the right counts
You can add instrumentals into the same work bored as your vocals ! And once everything is finished you can merge the two / multiples to become once track

If you could do videos on basic stuff in garage band - for example I had no idea what a flanger is. You did a really clear quick overview of a lot of that but it was so fast. Can’t wait to try some of the new things I learned though.

could you toss out a video about mixing and balancing out vocals with a beat? Right now, I'm struggling with stuff like certain notes hitting to harsh as well as some drums, but then when I bring them down in the mix then it sounds like it's in a vacuum and I'm going back and forth and can't figure out the sweet spot where it's coming through clear but not too harsh.

If you could do videos on basic stuff in garage band - for example I had no idea what a flanger is. You did a really clear quick overview of a lot of that but it was so fast. Can’t wait to try some of the new things I learned though.

could you toss out a video about mixing and balancing out vocals with a beat? Right now, I'm struggling with stuff like certain notes hitting to harsh as well as some drums, but then when I bring them down in the mix then it sounds like it's in a vacuum and I'm going back and forth and can't figure out the sweet spot where it's coming through clear but not too harsh.
