I don't mind the villains becoming a statue, and here's why. Give them about a thousand years, and they can be released as Discord was. Perhaps after a millennium, they may decide that redemption is actually better than being solidified.
In the setting of The Last Problem they’re already outnumbered. If they do manage to escape or let out, they would most likely just run away, hopefully, together.
@@Ghostdragon28 I think more than that remember Celestia has been there for 2000 years and was there when equestria was made as little fillies. With that discord and the legends. It would be 3000 maybe not sure
Conclusion of characters summary: Twilight- became celestia(literally) Spike- became a rip boi Pinkie- Had a child with with cheese(wait that didn't came out right) Applejack- Apparently married rainbow and now runs the barn(😎Noice) Rainbow- Same thing but now rocks a badass veteran's jacket. Fluttershy- Married discord💕 (ILoveKimpossibleALot is having stroke) Rarity Still single? (But seriously wtf?) Celestia and luna- Sunbathing while eating cake Starlight- Looks like snowfall frost from a hearth's warming tail.(all she need's now is a hat and glasses) Sunburst- Best beard and most likely became the next starswirl. CMCs- Became teachers at the SOF. Derpy- Still adorable and still screwing up the dang mail. Some of the pillars, granny and the goldengals, winonna- Dead(shown subtlety through aj and bloom wearing the neckpieces, the "pillars" in the shot where we see starlight and sunburst and there being three pups with no mom.)
He was trying Celestia's training methods without the wisdom or experience needed to do it right. Add to that the fact that he is chaos incarnate in his personality as well as powers and it is easy to see how this went south on him, worst part is he put the world at risk doing so. I do have to say I love watching that moment where he tells the princesses, we rarely see that kind of raw emotion from Celestia. He is so lucky she had bigger issues at that moment than finding a fitting punishment.
Honestly Discord's plan in the finale makes perfect sense considering his thinking has always been twisted. Of course it would seem dumb to someone normal but Discord is the spirit of chaos he doesn't think like a normal person would & never has. And let's not forget that his plan was actually reforming Tirek, Chrysalis & Cozy too. If chrysalis hadn't been there or hadn't realized quick enough this finale could have gone very differently.
Let's not forget that Discord's plan actually worked: Twilight defeated three villains at their strongest and gained the confidence and understanding to rule Equestria and teach the magic of friendship.
I think that was always Discord’s strength. He’s always been an effective teacher, even if he’s been forceful in his methods. Past episodes reflect it.
There's also the fact that the way he was defeated by the three villains is an almost exact mirror of the way he was defeated back when he was a villain. Think about it; -In The Return of Harmony, Discord lost because he underestimated the Mane Six; because of that, he didn't check up on what they were doing after he "won" and was caught off guard when they got the Elements of Harmony working. -In The Ending of the End, Discord lost because he underestimated the Terrible Trio; because of that, he didn't check up on what they were doing and was caught off guard when they took Grogar's Bell in secret and got it working.
@@tenofprime He is a god of chaos and sometimes is smart, sometimes randomly stupid, his greatest weakness is always understimating his adversaries whatever changeling, princesses or power of friendship even with smart plan like the evil black branches to trap Tree of Harmony and Celestia/Luna in the past
Blank Slate, RarityDash, BurningAxe, Applegeek, Bronies React. Now it’s your turn, Luffy! Rooting for you to react to more MLP content with FiM now at its end!
25:01 I can't stay mad at Discord either, even if his ideas for testing friendship are so "chaotic" when you think about it. Also, Rarity is just amazing. Saving Twilight with a rock, protecting Spike with a similar magic shield to her EG counterpart, and even helping Spike push back Chrysalis' blast for that brief moment. Great moments of her growth in magic over the years.
I've said this on a couple of other reactions to the finale, but when Discord said his plan made sense in his head, my first thought was that it making sense to him should have been a massive red flag as something that goes against his very nature.
Okay. I apologize in advance for how long winded this might be but I feel like I owe it to you and Ladix. I started watching this show in 2011 back when it was just starting to run rampant online. I’ve always been a huge fan of animation and dry humour. I adored this show but for reasons I’ve only started to understand later on. This show brought people together it almost felt like it brought people together who felt they didn’t fit in with society and maybe felt alone. It brought us all together. Which is where I started my journey with you two in 2014. I was never a fan of commentary. I didn’t get it, but in 2014 I started watching you two. It felt like we watched the episodes together whenever they came out. You guys helped give me courage and drive to get my own channel going which has just passed 10,000 subscribers!! Thank you for publicizing this journey. I sobbed right along with you watching this. Thank you for being the friend on the couch watching silly ponies do silly things. It was a wild ride and I’m thankful for it. I’ll keep an eye on your channel for what’s to come. For now, I need a tissue
If it’s any consolation when it comes to the punishment between those three they’re not conscious while they’re in stone. Discord was an exception because chaos magic but those three would basically be trapped in kind of a magic sleep water in stone. Otherwise Rockhoof wanting to be turned to stone would’ve been a lot worse than he was thinking it was going to be.
A good point. I think when we see that expression of WIDE-EYED DESPAIRING HORROR in a child's face, it flips a switch in the brain and makes us crazy angry. Which is actually a good thing. On the other hoof, if they'd dropped a bucking *building* on pre-redemption Diamond Tiara, everyone probably would have cheered. (cough)
I'm kind of thinking that if they are not concious, should they get out the punishment would only be a blink of an eye for them. "Together Forever. I can't think of anything they would like less." That makes me think that they would be trapped staring at (or at least be aware of) each other for all indefinity.
Edward256 there’s a FIM-fiction story where periodically twilight gives them a parole hearing in the middle of the hedge maze and every single time they can’t stop bickering with each other and with twilight to be taken seriously for any of it but she’s still try’s.
@@Nazo-kage Interesting... Here's another thought I had in reforming them, and it involves them being conscious. Having the statue put in a part of a garden in need of maintenance, and a lone pony takes care of the garden and statue. Yes, this idea is based off of Keepers of Discord. An alternative would be that they are put in the vicinity of the School of Friendship and they are subjected to all the friendship that happens there.
@@Nazo-kage I've read that the MLP comic is supposed to continue as a semi-official "Season Ten." It's very likely they'll fool around with this subject. In fact, I wonder if Discord's out-of-the-blue name-drop of Tirek's father (already seen in the comic, along with Tirek's brother Scorpan and the rest of his family) isn't a deliberate subtle lead-in to the comic season.
by the way I am pretty sure that these 3 villains represent 3 different types of evil people in our world. Cozy- The psychopaths and the sociopaths. Chrysalis- The racists, sexists, homophobes etc. Tirek- The power hungry leaders and the rich, greedy people of the world .
That whole part with Discord voicing Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow makes me wish we could have gotten a whole episode where John voices all the characters in the episode with no one else voicing characters. As in, not just those three, voicing Twilight, Luna, Thorax, Ocellus, Starlight, you name the character, he voices them XD
Discord being grogar actually makes sense we didn't actually see grogar preform any amazing grogar-y feats. The all seeing eye could just an illusion he created.Has anyone noticed the them of grogar leaving, discord showing and vice versa.
What a beautiful ending to this beautiful show... I started watching MLP shortly before S4 started airing and found your reaction videos by chance soon after. You were the first reactor I watched and that eventually led to me getting sucked into watching a lot of reaction videos and then the brony fandom in general. And over the years you were always one of the reactors I looked forward to the most after a new episode aired. Thank you so much for putting in all the work to make these videos over the years! I pretty much never comment under videos because I can never think of something that I'd like to say, but I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed this journey with you immensely and if we're lucky and the next generation doesn't suck, then I hope that I can follow you on that journey too.
My kids and I loved this finale, for us it was the perfect ending to a show that meant so much to us and helped us get through the hard times. Friendship is magic, and hopefully all can remember that lesson in the years to come.
“The Last Problem” thoughts: I’ll never get tired of seeing this wonderful conclusion of MLP FIM, it is amazing! I really like seeing how everyone we know is living their lives, soon after the events of the previous episodes. From Pinkie and Cheese being the the party pony couple we’ve wanted (with an offspring of their own) to Fluttershy living with each other (as was implied), these outcomes made me happy. Each member of the Mane 6 and Spike looked great, I like the change in their appearances too. Let’s not forget about Luster Dawn. Even though we didn’t have much time spent with her character, I still found her to be likable, she’s cute. I appreciate that we were able to look back on the second ascension for Twilight in the flashback. It had just as much “feelsy” moments as what went on in the current time. Of course, the mane attraction for me was the “How the Magic of Friendship Grows” sequence. Everything that happened throughout the entire song was so beautiful and wholesome, enough to get anyone emotional. Seeing the rest of the characters going about their lives and seeing them in the background behind the Mane 6 was also great. And finally, we close things off with one last shot of our Mane characters and the closing of the famous book that started our G4 MLP journey. I love this show, it has impacted my life in an amazing way and I couldn’t have been more happier than to be apart of this journey of nine seasons!
SpacialRend7 Hey there cute blue pony. Wanna go hang out in Twilight Sparkle castle tonight? But in all seriousness. Do you think more people are excited for G5 rather than being worry about it? Hopefully they’re all still beautiful ponies lol. Also Glimmer leak design need to happen now!!!!!!! Let be honest here about 90 % of bronies love her now including me. Idk why people fight over about who is better. Glimmer or Shimmer? Heck why not throw Twilight in the mix. Just appreciate greatness at it finest.
My man Tirek has been doing all the heavy lifting,Taking out the pillars, advicing that they take care of the windigoes and hunting down twilight due to his past experience with both and taking out all the other species with his shockwave.
Tirek is indeed strong and smart, but also pragmatic, taking his time to strike, indeed is the most powerful villain with only King Sombra able to rival as scary, powerful and smart (Chrysalis prefer dirty tricks and manipulations and battle only if she is overconfident of a complete superiority)
Amazing reactions, just as I suspected. Also, neat details in The Last Problem: AJ is wearing Granny Smith's shawl, Apple Bloom is wearing Goldie Delicious' and Winona's pups are in the background of Sweet Apple Acres :')
“The Ending of the End” thoughts: So here we are, the climactic two-parter of S9! I’ll start off by addressing the “goat” in the room. I was surprised by the plot twist of Grogar being Discord in disguise, but at the same time, I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to the real Grogar playing a big role in these episodes. This direction is a minor nitpick to me though, I liked the plot twist at the end of the day. Aside from that turn of events, I rather enjoyed the fact that the Terrible Trio got their chance to shine in another big way, by leveling up and overwhelming our protagonists the way they did. Naturally, I was on the edge of my seat with excitement when the villains faced off against our heroes, from the Pillars’ battle with Tirek to Twilight and companies tussle with Cozy, especially the sequence with Starlight and Chrysalis. The ending of part one was really intense with the villains destroying Canterlot Castle and backing everyone into a corner. All of that had my heart racing. With part two, things just a lot more intense as each of the pony tribes continued to fight against each other. With the way things were looking with the return of the Windigos, it could’ve turned out worse if the Sirens were still around. I was really impressed with the way Twilight and the gang faces off against the Terrible Trio the fields. Everyone pulling out the tricks from their sleeves in order to get Grogar’s bell, that was great. I like how the writers didn’t shy away from putting a character in danger, the way Spike’s wings were on the line was pretty dark. Just when I thought that this story couldn’t get any better, I was knocked for a loop when the writers pulled an Avengers Endgame on us by having all the allies of Equestria join in the fray to aid Twilight and company. My mind was blown when I spotted Tempest in the crowd (including the Queen Novo and Skystar cameo). I actually screamed with high energy throughout this sequence, it was an incredible experience for me. On the subject of the villains fate of being turned into stone, I actually found that outcome satisfying in my opinion. Even though I expected a reformation from the three (with the CMC and the Young 6 giving Cozy a chance, Scorpan making Tirek see the light, and Chrysalis being welcomed back to the Changeling hive, w/ a transformation), I didn’t mind this direction of their defeat. These episodes made me say “this is my favorite two-parter” and that “S9 is the best season!” That is how much I enjoyed “The Ending of the End.”😉
As nice as a reformation would have been I can see why it was not done. The trio had done to much damage and have been shown to be a threat even when imprisoned due to possible escapes. The truth is not everyone can reform, they had a chance and tossed it aside for more power.
tenofprime a few things: chrysalis seemed to be the one who dragged the other two down this path, you can tell as she is the only one acting hostile after being defeated. Also, about them being a threat even when imprisoned, that isn’t necessarily the case since in Tartarus, cozy and tirek literally couldn’t do anything and only got out because of discord. And as for cozy, she isn’t a threat at all when by herself as seen with her interactions with Rusty Bucket in Frenemies
+tenofprime The thing is, Tirek and Cozy Glow would have most likely never escape Tarturus if Discord didn't pull this plan and Chrysalis would have most likely be just a nuisance(due to the insane state she was in) if she didn't get plucked too. Honestly Discord's plan ultimately screwed them over since they weren't threats until this plan happened and said plan cause the 3 to go off the deep end even further. They may have had a chance to reform in Frienemies but the thing is it looks like its going to take more than that. Especially since Discord's "method" on reforming them if that was his intention is not going to work. And the case with Chrysalis rejecting it is due to well.. she is not in the right state of mind at the time. Honestly I was disappointed that Chrysalis was cucked for the sake of "not everyone can reform". In fact they already fulfilled this quota by what happened to the Shadows, Storm King, King Sombra. I wished she wasn't turned to stone at least.
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. It's been a hell of a run, but all things must end. I'm glad there's still plenty of other content coming out here to enjoy. So while it'll be the last of main pony reactions, still keep coming back for wonderful Luffy content.
1:30:39 I'll make an educated guess "Typically, white people start going gray in their mid-30s, Asians in their late 30s, and African-Americans in their mid-40s. Half of all people have a significant amount of gray hair by the time they turn 50." based on this information and looking at Rarity's mean gray streak I would guess the mane 6 are around their early to mid 40s. I'll leave a link for my source information. www.webmd.com/beauty/features/abcs-premature-graying#1
Part 1 was absolutely pulse pounding towards the end, part 2 felt like Endgame, and the series finale was a simple callback to the beginning of the series.
It's been a pleasure following your reactions throughout this series for years now. You've definitely been one of my favourite reactors to follow. I might not have always agreed with you on every tiny opinion on this show, but overall I feel you have a very similar philosophy surrounding your enjoyment of it (and things in general) as I do, which has made these reactions very enjoyable to watch. I'll be sure to keep up with your channel, and if you ever start reacting to any other show I enjoy, I'll definitely follow your reactions for those as well. :)
I know a lot of people who don’t like this finale. They say it’s to preachy or they don’t like the way twilight looks but that’s their opinion. Mine? I cried through the whole thing not because I didn’t like it but because I never wanted it to end. I love the pacing, the music my god the music but what I love the most is the ending, the show started with a book and ended with a book. This finale without question gets a solid 11/10 and yes it went over the limit DEAL WITH IT!
@@EpicFableBean Can confirm this is not true, as an old season one-er who overanalyzes everything about this show. These episodes are legitimately in my top 10 of the whole series. I STILL cry every time I watch these episodes, even though I've seen them at least a dozen times.
The fact that all you could find was the Discord shirt seems like fate given how much of this finale he is responsible for putting in motion. Also I love watching that reveal in reactions, it was pulled off so well that almost no one saw it coming. We are kind of like Tirek in that moment which I love.
Just remember Luffy with the Evil Trio. They can always be turned back later. I'll just pretend this is a temporary solution before they can find out other solutions
3:55 - Oh REeeeeeeeeeeeeALLY? 12:40 - To be fair, it's not that hard when they are this gullible. 52:00 - Except you're glued to the chair. 1:01:10 - Same here, bud. Same here...Can I hug the statue please? Even though they deserve it. 1:02:45 - That's what _I_ keep on saying! Same with Sombra! I mean, wouldn't a fitting end to a megalomaniac to be completely devoid of all power? That's what Avatar did at the end of The Last Airbender!
*I've officially watched all your MLP fim reactions Luffy... been a hell of a ride, loved every reaction :)* *Thought I'd give a quick "thanks" to you since its the last episode* _Looking forward to where you go next with the channel :)_ *And god damn you must have balls of steel, not a single tear 😂😂*
Discord's plan feels like something I would come up with. I say this because due to my mild learning disabilities, there are moments where I don't think up ideas 100% through; despite my good intentions
I'm still not sure how I feel about Discord being Grogar, that just... it feels like a very strong betrayal to me. And I know/understand it's in the realm of what Discord is like, but damn, that hit me hard after I learned he was Grogar. Applejack and Apple Bloom were wearing Granny Smith and Goldie Delicious' neckerchiefs, which means that they're dead, I know it's not shocking, but still sad to think about. Bon Bon and Lyra get married! You can see it in the newspaper that Twilight is flipping through. Looks like Discord and Fluttershy are together in the future, Pinkie Pie is with Cheese Sandwich, and Applejack and Rainbow are together. Now, some people feel like Rainbow and AJ are just roommates, but just the way they talked and acted... sounds more a relationship. I LOVE that the three bad guys did not get redeemed, I know some were hoping for at least Chrysalis, but I'm happy that NONE of them were redeemed, even with episodes like Frenemies, making it seem like they might end up going that route, I'm happy that they didn't. Looks like some of the student six were teachers at the school, that's pretty cool. Gallus is a guard, that's neat. And looks like new species are at the school. Spike looks buff as heck! Mention of the Diamond Dogs, a nice call back there. The cycle continues with Twilight bringing her best student to Ponyville. And we end it on a song, and a closing on the book, which is nice. I started my journey when it was in the middle of season 4. I binged seasons 1-3, and managed to catch up to season 4 right as it was doing the finale/close to it, and had that wait for season 5, and have been a fan ever since. So thank you MLP FIM for the amazing journey you took me on.
Greta reaction! My thoughts: -I'd figured out Discord was up to something, I'd spotted some of the patterns but didn't put together that he was pretending to be Grogar. It made sense in hindsight though, the villain episodes had been completely focussed on the other three and Grogar wasn't explored at all as a character or threat. I'm pretty okay with it, and it was a pretty clever way to keep Discord from just stopping the villain team up himself (he either needed to be removed from play or Grogar needed to be made so powerful that beating him would require an asspull). I do think that having Discord's plan be an attempt at reforming the villains gone wrong would have been the better choice. -the fate of the villains works for me, they should be executed for all they've done but since this is a kids show being turned to stone works as a decent substitute, they're not conscious and it removes the potential threat for the future so the show can end on a happy note. While imprisoning them sounds like a good idea I'm not really sure how you could imprison all three of them someplace without one of them being able to break the others out. Also I don't know about you but being trapped in a cage you can barely move in for your entire life sounds far worse than mindless petrification. -Cozy being punished doesn't bother me much since she not only tended to be the most viscious of the three but she's also not as young as people tend to think of her. She's supposed to eb around the age of the CMCs, which at this point should put her in early to mid-teens. Not an adult, but old enough to understand what she was doing and why it was wrong. -the implied Appledash pairing doesn't really work for me, mostly because they've always been shown as more as rivals who compete over everything than anything that could resemble a functional couple. That plus the idea of the butch, tomboy, rainbow coloured pony being a lesbian is a tad too stereotypical for me. Don't hate it, but don't like it either.
If you watch a lot of anime, them being rivals actually strengthens their romantic chances. It's all to do with sexual tension that can build up between certain people. Rewatching their rivalry episodes and applying a sexual tension context to them... makes them absolutely hilarious and vastly improves them lol
@@luffyiscool Oh yeah, I agree, they had the tension, I just wish they'd established more that there was more than just that tension and actually enjoyed being together when not competing. I DO love the idea of the traditional southern character being LGBTQ though.
Grogar was Discord in disguise all this time? What an unexpected turn of events. It's true that he gave Twilight some lessons in the previous seasons, but there is a matter of taking things too far. Looks like he dosen't knows when to quit. In my opinion when Chrysalis was defeated in the season 6 finale, she should have accepted Starlight's offer and became the reformed leader of the cangelings, and not seek revenge because it won't get you anywhere. Even Kakashi told that to Sasuke. I don't know what kind of treating Cozy Glow got that make her act like a psychopath, but when she turned into that giant alicorn she became a monster both inside and out. I'm sure her parents would send her to a correctional facility, but if she's an orphan she can stay petrified. And we don't know anything about her backstory. And Discord mentioned Tirek's father King Vorak. So my question is: will the villains get another chance and get reformed in G5? And are we going to see the real Grogar, King Vorak, Queen Haydon and Scorpan? I think if the villains are freed in the next generation, then the best way to reform them is realizing that it's not worth being all powerful because they'll still be alone. Sunset told that so Midnight Sparkle. During the battle it was good to see that Flim and Flam also helped the ponies. Maybe they'll turn over a new leaf. And characters from the movie appeared. I hope we'll see them in the next generation including Neighsay, and Tempest will get her horn fixed. At the doughnut shop Rainbow said, the beginning of a more awesome era. We'll have to wait and see what is going to be in that era.
First, my favorite thing about the epilogue: at 1:15:49 you can see a glimpse of a CMC stainglass, on the first frame you can see Sweetie Belle and a little bit of Apple Bloom. Your idea for the reason Discord messed up was so much better, and it would make the villains demise better too. I don't think of Cozy as a kid anymore, she conscious about everything she did, she even knows more about the good side and friendship than the other 2. But I agree turning them into stone was excessive. Turning Discord into stone was also a choice, not just consequence of the harmony magic, but in that case it was the only way they knew of stopping the lord of chaos. The silver lining is, inspite of what Discord said, the possibility of depetrifying them is left open. It's not his call to make, Twilight is the new ruler. Future generations can try dealing with them, just like Celestia let the mane 6 reform Discord. There's a lot of fannart of Cozy with Flurry Heart, and I love that. PS: Your misinterpretation and all the notes you had to put were funny
Looks like a lot of years have passed since Twilight's coronation which explains why Canterlot looks different, the growth of Spike and Twilight, some characters have grown up, and some of them have baggy eyes. Gallus has become a new member of the royal guards. Maybe now he has a better life. Spike mentioned the Diamond Dogs. We haven't seen them since the first season, we didn't get a Nightmare Night episode with the student six, and we didn't get to see more parts of the crystal tree house...>:-( I hope we will in the next generation. If Applejack is wearing Granny Smith's neckerchief and Applebloom is wearing Goldie Delicious's neckerchief that would mean they have passed away along with Grand Pear?...:'-((( How sad. Granny Smith and Grand Pear would have been very happy if they knew that they became great grandparents. Oh well, at least Applejack and Applebloom will experience what it's like to be aunts. And I hope Limestone Pie and Marble Pie will be nice to their niece, like Pound and Pumpkin. I also hope that Pinkie's parents are still alive and they'll also be nice to their granddaughter. And since Twilight is the new ruler she could cast an age spell on her friends to make them young again. And that memory book Starlight gave to Twilight, looked similar to the book Hagrid gave to Harry at the ending of the first movie. So how to go on now? Will the new series start with the opening of a new book? What about Sunset Shimmer and the Sirens? Will they be part of the new series, and will the Sirens get reformed? Well as Sunset would say: I may not know what the future holds. And according to Equestria Daily G5 will have mature content. Does that mean G5 will have great battles, violence, and blood? I hope so. And speaking of blood, when Fluttershy turned into a bat pony Pinkie mentioned vampire ponies. A lot of fans want to see those kind of ponies, so I hope they will appear in G5 and the vampire ponies will have red glowing eyes, like in Vampire Knight. I think if a bat pony family would move to Ponyville, they could find jobs as Nightmare Night decoration makers. The foals would be happy to buy some decorations from them. We'll just have to wait and see. PS: Luffy there is going to be a tenth season in comic form. I don't know if the fanfic writers are going to make episodes from the comics and upload them on UA-cam, but that would be good wouldn't it? And I hope you will make a reaction video about the second My Little Pony movie in 2021.
@@luffyiscool your videos have always been fun for that, you are not above poking fun at yourself in your own videos. Half the time I end up rewinding to make sure I get them all.
33:10 I'm so happy that you acknowledged Rarity's magic this reaction video was the best nobody seems to notice how "rare" that can happen since she didn't train her magic at all and only can pick up tiny things with her horn it's nice to see her use her magic to save somepony
I also saw hints of possible Sparity. I don't know if the show writers intended that. But I'll headcanon that. I'll just say they both grew older and Rarity started to like Spike romantically. He was the most charming and chivalrous husband she could ever ask for.
I was disappointed too, that the villains weren't reformed in the finale, but given what happened to Discord in season 3, I think that their fate isn't set in stone;) Anyways, thanks for the ride, for all the MLP content, and I wish you all the best for the upcoming Christmas!
wow its been quite a ride. been subscribed to you since season 4. What a journey, cult ponies, Magic battles, reformation here and there, plenty a changelings to spare, school days, princesses and a flock of geese. quite the ride indeed.
1:01:30 - ....I agree with you there...there is _nothing_ worse in my eyes than to be subjected to "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" : ( And you know what? I think Chrysalis got it the worst; she was the only one who still tried to make a lunge before being frozen. It brought to my mind the last words of Captain Ahab - "To the last, I grapple with thee! From Hell's heart, I *stab* at thee! For HATE'S SAKE, *I SPIT MY LAST BREATH AT THEE!!"* That's no way to die. :'(
Something I have to point out: Starlight making amends with her village was not retconned. They even mentioned in the S6 finale that even though she's made up with them, she doesn't feel comfortable being a part of their lives to the same degree as before. She still had a fear of who she used to be at that point, and her village was a very big reminder of what she'd done.
Outside the lack of more canon ships with fillies that's one of my greatest complain about the show (the other is the painful sunk ship for Marple Pie and Big Mac, because the Xmas special used a drill in the wound and no consolation prize for Pinkie' s sister), the lack of repentance arc for Starlight about the citizens of Our Town, only hinted as nightmares and some scenes during S5 and S6 finale
about 20 years. Little Cheese is Pinkie's kid. Granny Smith and the Golden Horseshoe gals, Grand Pear have passed. Applejack honoring Granny Smith with her shawl, and Apple Bloom honoring Goldie Delicious by wearing her shawl. Big Mac and Sugar Belle have their kid. Watch the first second of S9E26 it says either "So many Moons later" or "80 moons later".
Yeah I agree with you all and I loved it how rarity saved twilight by throwing the rock at the 3 villains and when rarity protected spike by using her magic like a shield then spike push back chysillas magic then rarity helped him out by using her magic that was sweet and a good combo and those two care about each other so much for a long time and spike twilight and the other have came so far that I am so proud of all of them and no matter what happens in the future as long as spike twilight rarity fluttershy pinkie pie rainbow dash and apple jack have each other and they all have their undying friendship for each other nothing in the world could ever break those 7 close friends apart and when at the end before the book closes we got to see our favorite main characters spike twilight rarity applejack pinkie pie fluttershy and rainbow dash.❤️
I always found it weird that in the season 4 finale Discord could easily find Tirek when he took magic from ponies. And in this season, when the 3 villains where in Canterlot ruining everypony's day, Tirek was taking magic again, but Discord didn't notice that!? So I found that as some sort of continuity error, until it was revealed that Discord was Grogar all along! XD I honestly loved the finale, especially because Pinkie and Cheese ended up together! X3
Luffyiscool, I imagine you have heard many comments like this before and may not even find this one, buried under so many thousands of comments-but I still want to express my gratitude to you and best wishes. I want to personally thank you for posting such fun videos and being such a great UA-cam channel to watch. You are a blast to watch and can have such contagious laughter. It’s nice to hear your thoughts on whatever it is you are watching and to get see all the different types of emotions that you present to the viewers. I am glad that you are continuing to put up these videos and look forward to seeing many more. Your videos have been a great help in getting me through rough days or dull moments, even if I watch one of them over and over again-still gives me a laugh and a smile. I hope that you continue to be this great and wish you a bright and happy future. Merry Christmas, Haply New Year and God bless.
With that thought in mind, considering how eager they were to cast the Stone Spell when Discord suggested it, these Princesses aren't as benevolent as we would think. They turned Discord into stone and had no plans on releasing him. His first release was an accident. For his second imprisonment, the girls (except maybe Pinkie) had no plans on ever releasing him. It was more of an afterthought by Celestia, probably after researching the effects of his magic (or coerced by a petrified whisper (by so many fans wanting him back)). "BUT TO PUT A CHILD THROUGH THAT!!??" ...ok, you got me there... unless she isn't really as young as Henry Evans. Maybe she is as old as Baby Herman? Or she is possessed. But without a backstory it is all up for interpretation. Rarity having a grey streak may make her look extra old in some eyes, but maybe she made it intentional after a compliment given by someone: The grey hairs make you look Distinguished. ;) Now, why did people hate the finale? Here are a few reasons: 1: Discord was Grogar all this time! 2: "Twilight will not outlive her friends" was seen as a promise, but then we see this. 3: "There will be no romantic relationships between the mane6" was another thing written, but then the hint at AppleDash got people upset of another "promise" broken. 3b: "...no relationships With the mane6" was probably another interperatation, which got thrown out with CheesePie and FlutterCord. 3c: "My Waifu Got Stolen!" ;P
I was disappointed with the finale due to Chrysalis's fate and well.. I was hoping Luna got to do something huge/unique. Since she started the show off with her story and as the first villain as Nightmare Moon. Having her do something in this finale to make things come full circle would have been great. But nope.. I was disappointed on how thing went for the royal sisters..
Finally someone who agrees with me about Grogar vs the Terrible Trio thing. I mean, prior to the finale, everyone was so sure that Grogar knew about their betrayal and was merely playing with them, and at the finale, he would prove to be the main threat and make three of the best villains in the show be either thrown aside or turned into lackies for some new guy who honestly didn't have that much a personality to begin with. After Frenemies, the three of them were just so much interesting than he was, so the moment they started to plan against him, I wanted their betrayal to work out. Though if it was up to me, I would either have not have Grogar show up at all and just have the three of them be summoned by Sombra instead, and then all four would be more like equals rather than have one villain with three minions...or if Grogar was to show up in the show, he really should have showed up way earlier than season 9...and then maybe have him join the villain alliance later on.
You saw my comment on Ponybro didn't you? All serious, thank you for the fun ride to the very end. We'll miss your commentaries and mv's. Hope to see what you'll do in the future.
Discord convencing Celestia and Luna to turn the villains into stone is pretty messed up when you think about it, considering it was him who sent them on their path. But i'd like to think that hopefully Twilight resurrects them one day to reform them, similar to what they did with Discord.
Last time Discord was turned into stone, he got paroled after a year or so. And he's semi-immortal! I don't think they'll leave Cozy like that forever. Sombra was left in limbo for a thousand years and killed--twice!--and his crime was enslavement; on the other hand, Chryssi has imprisoned Celestia (and Cadance and others) *with intent to torture* twice and was still offered amnesty, only to keep attacking. Tirek, Cozy and Chryssi were going to *tear Spike's wings off* and *kill the Mane Six.* At that point, I think a lengthy time-out is warranted. Frankly, they're too dangerous to risk getting loose again. (Also, not to put too fine or political a point on it: like you said, leaving children in barren cages is always a bad look, but never more so than in America today.) I fully expected them to go the redemption route set up in "Frenemies"--after all, almost everycreature else got a redemption episode, even Angel--and even hoped it would play out that way, but...yeah. *Behave, children, not all sins are forgiven!*
Tldr yeah children shouldn't be in cages but like..ya know...killing people.....stuff...yea.. and sombra literally enslaved people and was killed three times so like ye
I completely understand and to a point agree with your opinion on retribution vs rehabilitation, but I personally think that this was a justified decision. The first reason for this is how they describe the process in " a rockhoof and a hard place". Stone sleep. Simply sleep incased in stone. Also I didnt agree with your usage of the word 'forever' because we know that this can be undone through the whole discord reformation process. Of course, there is the counter point that since the mane 6 dont have the elements anymore thus cant undo the spell. However, I feel it's been implied that the elements were only symbols and they can do anything by themselves now which previously required the elements. Either way, amazing finale, great reaction and review. I wish you the best luffy, until next time.
I think what really set me off was Discord saying "together forever" in a taunting tone. I have to remember that it's not up to him, he was just making a joking remark at them.
You know whats even darker, is that the stone sleep spell is basically the death penalty in equestria. So if this wasn't a Y rated show, Chrysilis, Tirek, and Cozy would've just been outright killed, so hot damn.
That's what makes me uncomfortable. They stood over their defeated enemy and casually decided to blast them into eternal petrification without a chance for them to plead a case or surrender. They just blasted them and then smiled about it. Fucking creepy tbh.
@@luffyiscool I think it's because they have had a few chances to redeem themselves, hell Starlight freaking offered her friendship to Chrysilis at the end of season 6. Scorpan tried to reason with Tirek during Tirek's backstory, and during Frienemies they all even had the chance at redemption when they realized that they liked working together. And Cozy Glow was just unapologetically power hungry the entire time. So they had a few chances at redemption. Sometimes evil people will remain that way and there is nothing you can do except stop them. But II do get your point. It was creepy
My personal belief is that the Mane 6 were in their early to mid 20s in season 1 and mid to late 20s or early 30s by season 9, putting them around their 50s after the time skip.
Even though it's been two years since the last episode I still find it to be one of the greatest series finales of a series I've ever seen and that while they'll be new fans for Generation 5 I grew up with Generation 4 and it is to me the greatest My Little Pony series of all time and I had to give thanks to all the Riders the actors and especially Lauren Faust who created the series and bring My Little Pony to the modern world and brought two worlds together
(At 1:00:25) Maybe, but let's be honest… Discord is the kind of individual who's convinced when literally someone's "actions speak louder than words" shown as proof.

I don't mind the villains becoming a statue, and here's why. Give them about a thousand years, and they can be released as Discord was. Perhaps after a millennium, they may decide that redemption is actually better than being solidified.
Plus; after a millennia , the three of them will be grossly outnumbered
In the setting of The Last Problem they’re already outnumbered. If they do manage to escape or let out, they would most likely just run away, hopefully, together.
Plus this would work because if twilight has the lifespan of the original princess then she would be alive in 1,000 years
@@Ghostdragon28 I think more than that remember Celestia has been there for 2000 years and was there when equestria was made as little fillies. With that discord and the legends. It would be 3000 maybe not sure
But they are actually conscious, so imagine being alive, hearing and seeing everything, but being unable to move.
I sum up Discord's actions with this song verse: "It's our flaws that make us work."
Conclusion of characters summary:
Twilight-
became celestia(literally)
Spike-
became a rip boi
Pinkie-
Had a child with with cheese(wait that didn't came out right)
Applejack-
Apparently married rainbow and now runs the barn(😎Noice)
Rainbow-
Same thing but now rocks a badass veteran's jacket.
Fluttershy-
Married discord💕
(ILoveKimpossibleALot is having stroke)
Rarity
Still single?
(But seriously wtf?)
Celestia and luna-
Sunbathing while eating cake
Starlight-
Looks like snowfall frost from a hearth's warming tail.(all she need's now is a hat and glasses)
Sunburst-
Best beard and most likely became the next starswirl.
CMCs-
Became teachers at the SOF.
Derpy-
Still adorable and still screwing up the dang mail.
Some of the pillars, granny and the goldengals,
winonna-
Dead(shown subtlety through aj and bloom wearing the neckpieces, the "pillars" in the shot where we see starlight and sunburst and there being three pups with no mom.)
It started with the book opening and ended with the book closing
It couldn't have ended any other way 😭
That was the perfect way to end the series.
Me when i heard Discord's plan:
"You are made of STUPID."
He’s made of chaos, which is actually pretty similar
He was trying Celestia's training methods without the wisdom or experience needed to do it right. Add to that the fact that he is chaos incarnate in his personality as well as powers and it is easy to see how this went south on him, worst part is he put the world at risk doing so.
I do have to say I love watching that moment where he tells the princesses, we rarely see that kind of raw emotion from Celestia. He is so lucky she had bigger issues at that moment than finding a fitting punishment.
I want to see that on a shirt, "you are made of STUPID"
I wished he at least gotten a hard bonk to the head for this.
Yea, his heart was in the right place. He just failed to have a sufficient backup plan in case they turned on him.
I think that was always Discord’s strength. He’s always been an effective teacher, even if he’s been forceful in his methods. Past episodes reflect it.
There's also the fact that the way he was defeated by the three villains is an almost exact mirror of the way he was defeated back when he was a villain. Think about it;
-In The Return of Harmony, Discord lost because he underestimated the Mane Six; because of that, he didn't check up on what they were doing after he "won" and was caught off guard when they got the Elements of Harmony working.

@SuperCool Guy McGee ...?
I can't think of anything they would like less."
That makes me think that they would be trapped staring at (or at least be aware of) each other for all indefinity.
When was chrysalis ever either of the 3 tho?
“The Last Problem” thoughts:
I’ll never get tired of seeing this wonderful conclusion of MLP FIM, it is amazing!
I wont be. If Starlight isnt in G5 i dont fucking care about watching it really.

“The Ending of the End” thoughts:
So here we are, the climactic two-parter of S9!
SpacialRend7 Grogar is not a goat
DoctorFlashSfD You’re right. He is in fact a ram. The goatee threw me off.
tenofprime a few things: chrysalis seemed to be the one who dragged the other two down this path, you can tell as she is the only one acting hostile after being defeated.

I LOVE that the three bad guys did not get redeemed, I know some were hoping for at least Chrysalis, but I'm happy that NONE of them were redeemed, even
with episodes like Frenemies, making it seem like they might end up going that route, I'm happy that they didn't.
I binged seasons 1-3, and managed to catch up to season 4 right as it was doing the
finale/close to it, and had that wait for season 5, and have been a fan ever since.
So thank you MLP FIM for the amazing journey you took me on.
He pretended to be Grogar even he is not as powerful as grogar
I love how Luna and celestia care so much about twilight but discord was like imma bring all the problems to you and idgaf what you think
Bro does not even care for fluttershy even she's crying abt it I'm sorry flutters
50:07 teilights scrunch face 🤣

Greta reaction!
My thoughts:
-I'd figured out Discord was up to something, I'd spotted some of the patterns but didn't put together that he was pretending to be Grogar.
Starving kids in Africa could've eaten those ponies
Kind of little late, but... sir.. it has been an honor to react with you... with all of you, comment box people
Also Lil Cheese is actually Pinkie and Cheese’s kid
Yeah, I kept mocking myself through annotations lol
@@luffyiscool your videos have always been fun for that, you are not above poking fun at yourself in your own videos. Half the time I end up rewinding to make sure I get them all.
@@luffyiscool Also; during The Last Problem, there's an article in the newspaper Twilight's reading talking about Lyra and Bon Bon's wedding
Luffy: How could they trap them in stone?
Dave Chappel: Why? Because fuck 'em, that's why!
I was disappointed too, that the villains weren't reformed in the finale, but given what happened to Discord in season 3, I think that their fate isn't set in stone;)
Anyways, thanks for the ride, for all the MLP content, and I wish you all the best for the upcoming Christmas!
We are not a stone anymore ha ha ha!
Oddly, Luffy's feed was behind during the stream. Now the chat is 30 seconds behind the video now that the stream is done. GG UA-cam.
I hope that maybe after 1000 years cozy chrysalis and tirek can learn about friendship like discord and nightmare moon and be properly reformed
Ohh yeah, i was waiting for your reaction, good reaction bro
Bruh, I think you had the calmest reaction to the start of episode 26.
wow its been quite a ride. been subscribed to you since season 4. What a journey, cult ponies, Magic battles, reformation here and there, plenty a changelings to spare, school days, princesses and a flock of geese. quite the ride indeed.
on a note for granny, AJ seems to be wearing her scarf.
1:01:30 - ....I agree with you there...there is _nothing_ worse in my eyes than to be subjected to "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" : ( And you know what? I think Chrysalis got it the worst; she was the only one who still tried to make a lunge before being frozen. It brought to my mind the last words of Captain Ahab -
"To the last, I grapple with thee! From Hell's heart, I *stab* at thee! For HATE'S SAKE, *I SPIT MY LAST BREATH AT THEE!!"*
That's no way to die. :'(
1:13:04 "What do you mean?" "Let's just say, it'll be good..."
ME: "Let's just say, it'll create and tremendous feeling of Deja Vu."
You're the first reactor I've seen to notice Rumble cooking - I'm glad at least SOMEONE noticed that!
Starlight's "Bitch, please." walk after tanking Chrysalis was entirely too satisfying for best dictator-turned-school headmistress.
21:53 Yup, I can absolutely hear a hamster scrambling on that wheel in your head
about 20 years.
XD
I honestly loved the finale, especially because Pinkie and Cheese ended up together! X3
This episode made me cry
“Friendship isn't just magic, F R I E N D S H I P I S F O R E V E R 😚💞”

I sobbed watching these last few episodes.
"BUT TO PUT A CHILD THROUGH THAT!!??"
...ok, you got me there... unless she isn't really as young as Henry Evans. Maybe she is as old as Baby Herman? Or she is possessed. But without a backstory it is all up for interpretation.
Rarity having a grey streak may make her look extra old in some eyes, but maybe she made it intentional after a compliment given by someone: The grey hairs make you look Distinguished. ;)
Now, why did people hate the finale? Here are a few reasons:
1: Discord was Grogar all this time!
@@nightshroud9671 yes
I kind of want to believe that the rest of the Mane 6 will be kept alive through the magic and power of their undying friendship.
Or perhaps by the magic of an immortal, reality warping Chaos Spirit?
Hope to see what you'll do in the future.
primepm Newcomer MLP reactors like PonyBro and Raven make this ride never-ending!
Discord convencing Celestia and Luna to turn the villains into stone is pretty messed up when you think about it, considering it was him who sent them on their path. But i'd like to think that hopefully Twilight resurrects them one day to reform them, similar to what they did with Discord.
Merkabah It is possibly that they will be luster dawns test like how the main 6 reformed discord
@@impulseelectrobrine1259 that would be awesome
“Don't cry because it ended, enjoy it because it happened”
- ''Hajime Isayama''
I like your belief in not hurting anyone unless it’s a last resort for self defense
"They even did the anime thing with her walking away!"
*Tentacles are showing up*
Speaking of Anime...
Applejack is wearing Granny Smith's scarf and applebloom is wearing Goldie's scarf.
That was Boneless #6, which means Cheese and Pinks could have 4 foals
Well.... they certainly have the energy for it
My personal belief is that the Mane 6 were in their early to mid 20s in season 1 and mid to late 20s or early 30s by season 9, putting them around their 50s after the time skip.
Yep, which fits with their "middle aged" label on behindthevoiceactors.com
RIP, MLP series. For now.Though lets be honest Hasbro isn't letting their most popular brand go. Lets see what they do for the next 10 years.
This take place 20 year later!!!
I know
Even though it's been two years since the last episode I still find it to be one of the greatest series finales of a series I've ever seen and that while they'll be new fans for Generation 5 I grew up with Generation 4 and it is to me the greatest My Little Pony series of all time and I had to give thanks to all the Riders the actors and especially Lauren Faust who created the series and bring My Little Pony to the modern world and brought two worlds together
same i agree i wish we got a season 10 of the show tho
(55:45) And I was hoping Sunset Shimmer would become their Captain Marvel by joining the battle at the very last minute, too.
I'm surprised more people don't compare Cozy to Esther from a certain 2009 movie.
(At 1:00:25) Maybe, but let's be honest… Discord is the kind of individual who's convinced when literally someone's "actions speak louder than words" shown as proof.
They can fit all of Equestrias population on one hilltop wow I’m surprised way more armies didn’t try to invade
