- Clem takes you through the whole caravan and how we utilise our internal storage and cleaning solutions before Mark takes you outside for external storage.
This is what works for us and is constantly evolving over our 2.5 years on the road!
Brilliant gadgets and storage ideas 👍💯👏
Great video guys. I’ve put 2x dirty gear bags on the stone guard but facing the caravan they work great for rubbish, hoses, firewood, ect
Now that i have the lighter gas bottles i probably could do that, i was hesitant as i can’t afford any more ball weight being put on the car but that is really a great idea thanks
Great video, well done clem 😊
Thanks Mel!
Awsome ep guys full of gr8 hints and tips 🤙
Cheers guys
Thanks for sharing , awesome tips
Greetings from south africa 🍻 🇿🇦
Hopefully some find it useful! Thanks for watching
A great idea that I sure would help you is to change out all the non slip cloth you are using (that you said moves) to yoga mats. Just cut to shape and they don’t move. They have that added cushioning and you can drag things across them and they don’t move or tear. They are also wipe clean. $7 aprox 6th x 2ft from Big W ect or Reject type shops.
Happy Travels
Ah thats a good idea thank you! Due for a bit of a refresh!
Cheers
Great video and very helpful, thank you. With regard to the towels, we have two different brands and both are great, but to me they are not quick drying as advertised. They take just as long as the normal towels, but as sand free towels they are perfect. The towels I found to be the best and quickest for drying were from Big W and their quick dry label. They dry from dripping wet to bone dry in about an hour depending on the climate. I'm using southern Vic as the test because that's the coldest and wettest environment apart from the humidity in the north which also slows drying time considerably. Anyway, best of luck with your hunt and thanks again for your video. Deb
Ooh we do always like a fossick in Big W maybe we will try them first. We have some beach ones which are good for the beach but they feel like a shammie when we get out of shower, we wanted something softer
Merrily merrily 🎶🎵..... such a beautiful family who always make me smile. Thank you.
Hahahaha hes such a crack up 😂
It is a game of tetris. So true.
Tetris skills on point under the bed and in tunnel boot, the rest is still working progress
Wow, Mark you might even have less clothes than me, haha.
Haha yeh is why im always in the same clothes for all the vids 😅
Another great episode from you guy's! Thanks and safe travels!
Cheers buddy, hopefully it helps some
That storage rack for the wardrobe is worth another look! I used yr IKEA chopping board idea-it’s been great to add extra room in the kitchen. X
Yeh we just need to secure the rack so it doesnt swing, rough roads can tip things out. The chopping board is very handy
Hi Clem, best quick dry bath sheets which are also light are Sheridan Quick Dry Towels. We love ours and have been using for years now. They feel like a normal towel. Never get smelly, always dry so fast! You can get normal sized bath towels, washers etc. We like bathsheets for size. We got ours from the outlet and also online. Highly recommend them.
Ooh thanks! Will definitely check them out, have had a few good recommendations come through now, seems like there are a few good options we weren’t aware of
Love the secret lollipop stash!
Great video Clem with some cool ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Haha always need a lolly stash 😅
@@Ourwhittleadventure haha definitely!!
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Thank you very much 😊you have given me so much to think about when we pick up our new van soon.
Love watching your adventures 👍
Regards Marianne
We are glad you found it helpful, safe planning!
Another great video thanks. We bought the Wild Touring towels. They are excellent. Quick drying and come with a tag to hang them on a hook. Well worth the investment. I put hooks in the shower and during the day the sunlight through the shower hatch dries them very quickly. We also use Koh on everything. Certainly all you need with microfibre clothes.
Wild touring, il have a look thank you! Definitely need new towels
Great video.
If you put time markers in the description with key products or places it would be very good.
Il have a look, ive not done that before. Cheers
Congrats on your 100th Video / Episode. Sarah and I have REALLY enjoyed watching them all :-)
Thanks buddy, hopefully you continue to enjoy them!
Love my koh to clem no awfull fumes like the rubbish bin where did that come from please keep with the good videos going really enjoying them one of my favorites
The bin is a Navigator small bin just in the New Age branding, we do really like the bin
Hi Clem. Just curious where you got the storage containers from with the handles on that you have your spices etc stored in. Safe travels back to your puppies and enjoy your future travels. Love seeing your videos and watching Liam grow and thrive while travelling. 🙂
I think those ones are from Red Dot, we had them before we went caravanning, was just convenient how well they fit in that cupboard.
Cant wait to see the dogs again, 1 more day!
Another great episode guys, keep them coming. One question I have is your wall of photos in the kitchen area, how are they fixed to the wall? Cheers Peter
Haha just double sided tape, we are not fancy but they haven’t fallen off yet and have rearranged a few times so seems to work well for us
Interesting ideas on storage.
But having jackets and other things near the bed looks untidy to me.
What's the " paid promotions ?you have disclosed?
Whats the weight limit for The hanging shelves in one wardrobe ?
Yeh we dont really like having the jackets hanging there either but its the best we have found to work for us, in summer/warm areas its usually just hats there.
I paid promotion was just acknowledging the support from the companies logos at the start. Safe style, compgas and new age that we had received products from.
Im not really sure what the weight likit would be sorry
noice... One day... I am sure the people that make the super duper cleaning cloths also do towles - Quick dry ??
Yeh there is a few on the market, we have some for the beach but they aren’t that soft for getting out of the shower. Will have to commit to trying a couple
Hey Clem - where did you get the rail you have above your washing machine and the bathroom and is it removable. Great vid as I have some extra ideas for storage in our van especially the drop bear pockets.
Also have you guys thought about using the eco laundry sheets rather than the powder. They work a treat in the van machines.
Liam cracks me up 😂
We installed that shelf above the washing machineand out the rail in. Its a sandleford chrome rod in bathroom section of bunnings and yes just lifts out, they use the same in the bathroom shelves.
We havent tried the laundry sheets, we used to use a similar product but it didnt cut it with how grubby the clothes got but these sheets have great reviews so will try them!
@@Ourwhittleadventure @lucentglobe are the company and we found the delivery quick and convenient and the sheets worked great. If our clothes are particularly dirty we use a full sheet normally. Good luck.
Thank you! Will have a look
Great Video Mark and Clem
Just letting you know my parents hit a kangaroo with their new Nissan Y62 Patrol on their way to Busselton on Monday and it’s had the bullbar, side Pannel, passenger side front light, quarter Pannel, side Pannel and radiator and battery smashed and they think it’s going to be a write off and do you know what would be the 5-10 best 4x4s to tow a 24 foot 2.7 Ton Jayco Starcraft Caravan
Oh no im sorry to hear that, how dissapointing. Im guessing everyone is ok though?
To tow that size/weight van. There is a lot of good options.
You could go for the 4wd utes, Izuzu Dmax or BT-50 would be my choice of those but the GCM can dissapear quickly and they are a smaller motor.
After that id look at the wagons like the Y62 or 200 series, bigger motors better for towing, GVM is more likely the restriction here compared to a ute so a GVM upgrade is typically needed.
Id definitely consider a Jeep Grand Cherokkee in this mix too for that size van and comfortable.
Then go big, Dodge Ram 1500, F250 or something but not that practical to use as an everyday vehicle.
Hope your keeping well
@@Ourwhittleadventure Have Just been speaking with my Parents today and they are thinking about getting a LandCruiser 100 Series 4.2 L Straight 6 Diesel Automatic as their new tow vehicle and would you recommend the LandCruiser 100 Series 4.2 I6 Diesel Auto to tow a 2.7 Ton Caravan and what would the fuel consumption be when towing and they are looking at fitting a Bullbar, Snorkel, Roof Rack, Awning, UHF & Clearview Towing Mirrors on it and would you also recommend Rock Tamer Mudflaps for towing aswell or not and do you think that they would be overweight if they get a LandCruiser 100 Series
100 series is what im in, weights with those accessories should be fine depending on towball weight.
Consider a transmission cooler being an auto but they sre a great tow vehicle.
Rock tamers are good, i dont hsve them i just have a stone guard on the front of the caravan
Bit disappointed in your Lolly stash 😂
That its so small?
