That was the best reaction on Gåte's performance I have seen up till now! Absolutely loved it. Thank you so much!❤ And I agree on your conclusion. And in the same time, a part of me actually don't care if they qualify or what else; Gåte presents pure quality And if they don't succeed in esc I tend to think that there is something seriously wrong with peoples taste when it comes to music.😂

Its an norwegian story about maiden being turned to a wolf (ulv) by her step mother. The only way to be free is to drink the blood of her brother.

And to add to that, when she kills and eat her mother in the woods, who turned out to be pregnant with an unborn Brother, she accidently ate him too, lifting the curse.

The instrument you see in the beginning is a traditional nordic instrument called nøkkelharpe/key harp
I love this song and performance😍
Gåte (gaw-teh) has been a band for years and are known for being one of the best live bands in Norway🤘
Their genre is Norwegian folk music mixed with rock/metal
Ulveham (you pronounced it perfect) means wolfskin
The intro is an old “kulokk”, a “kulokk” is when the women called/calls the cows home to be milked in the summer, often in the mountains.
The chorus of the song is inspired by this “kulokk”
The song itself is inspired by a medieval folklore/ballade
I recommend checking out the longer version, love it😍
Too bad they had to shorten it down to three minutes for Eurovision🤷‍♀️
