22 Years later.. and it looks like it was just released.... timeless classic both in the music itself and this video... honestly.. there are few videos that age well.. this is near perfection... it has been creepy for as long as it has been out.. MANSON at his best
The Beautiful People video as well, both had terrific effects. The thing about Manson is his music and art never seen to date. Except for POAAF, all his albums can be played 30 years from NOW and they'll still sound recent. Especially the videos. That's called being ahead of your time.
When I was young(er) I didn't totally get this, but after years of maturation, this is a legendary *classic*. Truly awesome, philosophical and artistic.
I believe more than anything this song speaks of love and sacfrafice. I think the song depicts two people, not any two definable individuals but rather the idea of two people in love. whether that be mother and father, child and parent or siblings. Just the simple idea of love between two people. The song symbolises the pain of loving someone. We sacrafice so much of ourselves for the people we love. We give them our time, our thoughts and our soul. But like countless relationships we can describe, we always end up being hurt by these people we love so much, the people we give up so much for. I think this is what he means by tourniquet. We all act as tourniquets for somebody. We all give meaning to other peoples lives, a fullfillment, a reason to live. But in doing so we allow ourselves to become a victim to these people. " Make your victim my head " Make your problems mine, cry on my shoulder and shed your tears so that I may wipe them away. I will be their for you, I will be your tourniquet in whatever fashion you need it. In the song he describes a person. A delicate unfinished person, who in all their flaws and simplicity, bring so much complication and pain to our lives. We love them and care for them in every way possible and yet despite our sacrafices and struggles they still do not understand what we have given up for them, they do not " belive in [us] " And even before our eyes, despite all we have done for them, we can see their pain, and sorrow. We can see them " spoil" But that is the way of life. No matter what we do and how much we try we cannot decide for the people we love. They will always live their own lives as they see fit. We can guide them but " flies will lay their eggs. "
I love Brian. When I was younger (16 years old) I loved you. Today, I'm 36 years old I still loving you. You'll be the most important rock singer in my life. I'm mother of teenager, his name is Brian in honor to you. I LOVE YOU

There are a lot of little things buried in the songs that can only be heard at certain frequency. I JUST SAW HIM LIVE, 2024, FIRST CONCERT. THIS SONG LIVE, TODAY WAS IMPRESSIVE TO HEAR AND WATCH. +25 YEARS LISTENING TO HIM AND THIS SONG IS THE SONG THAT MADE ME FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM!!
whenever i watch his videos, you physically could not force me to look away from the screen. i don't know what it is.. his videos just pull me in.

+Hannah A. yours is pretty darn attractive also
+Lila Love and i very much feel the same way.
cut heavy to this song
22 Years later.. and it looks like it was just released.... timeless classic both in the music itself and this video... honestly.. there are few videos that age well.. this is near perfection... it has been creepy for as long as it has been out.. MANSON at his best
The Mastermind I have to agree with you!
The Beautiful People video as well, both had terrific effects. The thing about Manson is his music and art never seen to date. Except for POAAF, all his albums can be played 30 years from NOW and they'll still sound recent. Especially the videos. That's called being ahead of your time.
That's for damn sure.
This album is timeless for sure and Manson was absolutely at his peak.
Totally right. Marilyn Manson's art is timeless. His albums and videos aged amazigly.
This song always hits me so hard.. the lyrics and everything it's a masterpiece.

A "MANSON"-PIECE
Why?
Masterpiece this? Drugs are bad
The real question is, who listens to this with the same amazement that they did in 96'?
Greatest album in his catalog. Hands down.
his voice itself is a kink and I love it
I hate horror films, but his visuals I find so attractive
sexy and therapuetic xxx

YES, GOD YES
When I was young(er) I didn't totally get this, but after years of maturation, this is a legendary *classic*. Truly awesome, philosophical and artistic.

what do u mean
I'm really agree with you
For sure, this song is an ageless and priceless gem ❤
right, i’m always coming back😂
I believe more than anything this song speaks of love and sacfrafice.

I LOVE YOU
But he hates being called brian lol
be my mom lol
I’m sorry you never got to see him live in 1997. Words can’t describe him live back then
What dedication! Brian would be so proud
This is literally one of my favorite videos of his, I adore it. I think it's one of the most creative and visually intense he's done.
I totally agree. The beautiful people vid was good too but I love paying attention to all the details in this one. It's funny to me how some would find this creepy, I find it so uplifting 🤩
Antichrist Svperstar was like discovering forbidden knowledge to a 90s teenager. Thank you Mr.Manson
He was an always will b BEAUTIFUL
Right, where would he be without the people he left behind...

I love these older music videos by Manson. They've got such a consistent tone with the albums they represent.
Best vocal performance, rage and hopelessness
Such an exciting time in music history and I was there.
That distorted girare, that drum. That atmosfere.. caught me almost 25 years ago, still remain intact

Ta-Da You're fucking right!! I hate the fact that this album is a classic masterpiece but never had any kind of"celebration"/special edition/whatever,by Manson( maybe because of the bad blood with Trent). Denying Manson and Antichrist Superstar album impact on rock music is just lack of knowledge.
I remember being a child in the 90s and owning a few Marylin Manson albums.
Happy 50th Marilyn Manson! You're music will forever have a place in my heart.

There are a lot of little things buried in the songs that can only be heard at certain frequency.
Play this album on a high end surround system, and you'll see why parent groups were scared of this album.
Like nine inch nails broken album there are so many layers of music, noises, whispers, moans in this album that you could spend a lot of time trying to hear them all.
Reznor says no matter how many times you e heard the broken album ,you'll likely never hear everything that's mixed into the album.
When all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed
If you don't have manson playing, you probably don't understand and never will
A little over a year ago in social studies class I had to do a powerpoint presentation about myself. I had a slide on the things I like and when I talked about music I like, I put a link to this. My teacher let me play it. I did my presentation right after someone who said they hated rock and metal music. It was beautiful.

Easily in the top 5 Manson songs of all time.
I love his world. I think he should make a movie.
Lilit Orchedia He was actually making a movie years ago and was gonna play the main character, the movie is called "Phantasmagoria" the visions of Lewis Carroll, a famous poet, you should look up the trailer, looks really cool. Although he did say a while ago he pulled out from the movie because it was affecting him psychologically or something like that.
Look up, "let me make you a Martyr"
Jeo C.
Production stopped because of Manson dragging his feet, backers pulling out, and his break up with Evan Rachel Wood (who was set to play Alice)
Yess Brian . We are so proud of you for being back!!!! Keep going on King!!!
fun fact: the whispering in the beginning of this song is actually manson saying "this is my most vulnerable moment" played backwards
no, "sherlock" in his book he clearly states that he's saying "this is my most vulnerable moment" HE wrote about it in HIS book (long hard road out of hell). my information is correct and your comment is obsolete.
