I was clearly in the Keep Justin Fields camp. I wanted them to bolster the offensive line.
One of the reasons I didn't want to draft Caleb Williams had nothing to do with him per se. The Bears haven't proven to me or anyone else that they can develop a quarterback. If Caleb Williams is going to be a successful player it's going to have to be somewhere else. Jyst like Justin.
In truth, most of the media is blaming the offensive line today, not Caleb. The problem is they never blamed the offensive line when Justin was running for his life back there. They said “oh he holds the ball too long. He’s too quick to run” blah blah blah. Most of the Chicago sports writers are meatballs

If you watch his Steelers tape. Fields is a pretty good game manager. He's not thrown any picks. He's thrown some daggers to Pickens. One was called back for a penalty on the oline but the throw was a laser.
The Steelers obviously have a run game going. Fields is playing in the shotgun and the TE sets help the oline but fields hasn't been a problem at all.

I could be wrong but I think Fields would’ve had a better season in Chicago than what Caleb will have. Caleb does have better QB skills but Justin is not terrible he has his own skill set including deep pass accuracy which a lot of people dismiss.

Fields has only thrown under a 150 yards these last 2 games. He's not setting the world on fire. He is 2 -0 foods playing with better offenses line. That can run the ball. I wish they could of kept Fields for a year to develop Williams. They decided to pick a old wide receiver. Who didn't the last game. Will not play Sunday. In draft they got another wide receiver. I think it's entirely too early to throw in the towel on Caleb and the entire coaching staff (IMHO). From what I'm seeing you have to get the plays in earlier to give Caleb a chance to read the defense and pick up the blitz. Many of the plays coming in gave Caleb less than 10 secs to get offense set and hike the ball, no time for motions or reads so no audibles. All the Texans and Titans did was bring Blitzes. Until they find plays to counter the blitz, teams are going to continue to bring the pressure. I do agree that the O-line is terrible and either major adjustments need to be made or those current players have to grow a pair and start playing with a little more intensity (take lessons from the defense).
I've never seen a team that never scores a td on an opening drive. It's always first drive score from a field goal. And yes like you said, that one line still is terrible. Swift, great running back, but because of this weak run block offense line we have. He is going to have a mediocre season this year. Give gone one more game, if you see nothing positive. Then start Bagent, which I felt they should've done this from the beginning

While the Steelers are dealing with injuries that had rookies starting that weren't supposed to start and all players on offense learning the playbook. So they are taking things step by step and opening up the playbook the more they play.
I thought Justin Fields was our franchise Quaterback. Offensive line is showing the rush of a Quaterback decision he has to make. You need time to throw. Tom Brady always had a great Offensive Line, and so it made him successful. We have to spend some money to succeed.
