They treated Justin fields in chicago like they treated you cam, no calls, late hits because he’s more athletic, then give him absolutely nothing to work with and then he produces with the two consistent weapons he has and they let him take the fall 😭 JF was never the problem in Chicago, Steelers got a gem
Bears are a mess. Lucky Pitts old OC Matt Canada aint there anymore or Fields would be in yet another pickle. Dodged a bullet there it’s good timing for him. Poor Russ though
Chicago think the players are the problem but it’s their whole organization. They have had great players they just suck at coaching to their strengths.

I’m just an AFC north fan in general. I know I’m supposed to hate the teams in my division but there are so many teams I dislike more than the Ravens, Bengals and Browns.
I have been saying this for some time now…. In Chicago, the issue was poor offensive line play, bad offensive schemes and offensive coordinators, and lack of play makers….. The Bears should have never drafted Caleb Williams. They should have traded back and addressed their offensive line with the best tackle in Joe Alt and then drafted the Georgia TE Bowers or got another lineman to protect the QB
Shanahan learned that the hard way with Lance, you're better off waiting for a QB with a good team than to build a team around a fresh qb. As good Stroud was, the OC had him under center and used their meh run game to help him pass the ball and make plays. I feel like Chicago doesn't even try to do that.

@@terrancehylton-lyons1776 I'm sure a former professional athlete knows more than you my guy and he made it clear this is his OPINION but good try. Tell us some more coach
The Steelers cleared the qb room and got Russ real quick on the cheap, then Justin Fields became available for trade. Justin Fields is younger than Kenny Pickett and has 3 years experience already. Russ might still have some ball left in him but why waste time when Fields can potentially be the starter long term for the Steelers. They would be stupid to give Russ a long term deal after this season. Fields is finally playing for a competent coach and franchise too.
Personally, I think they should just trade Russ to a team that needs a QB like Raiders, Titans, or Cleveland. I know Cleveland has DeShaun but he's more washed than Russ because at least Russ had an almost 30 TD season last year on a bad team.
Literally one of the easiest schedules to start the season ever, and a lot of luck aswell. One of the Steelers offensive Field Goals was 100% on Chargers penalties yardage and they lost their starting QB mid game, until that point they were better on both sides of the ball, it was a huge mommentum swing, doesn't mean anything... Schedule will eventually get hard, never forget Steelers were 11-0 once under the same circunstances.
Let’s be honest.. a lot of people owe Justin an apology… look at fuckin Caleb… he’s running for his fuckin life!! Chicago is just a bad team with an awful line
Thats what Justin was doing in Chicago and he had no help! WTF. Thank you coach T for bringing Justin to Pittsburgh. You told him you wanted him 3 years ago. Justin has a Coach, OC and a Team who will support his Talents!. "Here We go"
The offensive line coach is to blame, with the talent that o line has it shouldn't be anywhere as bad as it is. Especially considering that past players that looked terrible with that line ended up being way better elsewhere.
I agree, Russell is there to mentor Justin. If he accepts that mentorship role the Steelers are going far. They have a starter and a great backup for once.
As a Chicago bears fan it was tiring trying to explain to people there was nothing wrong with Justin Fields. He was just on a poorly coached team. I am happy to see him have success and I hope it continues and he becomes a star. By the time he plays Chicago. This will be the game of games especially if that D stays good also. Probably the only time in my life if the bears got shredded I wouldn’t be mad.
Bro... they were scoring 18 ppg with the #27 passing offense last yr with Pickett/Rudolph/Trubisky. They were scoring 20 ppg with the #27 passing offense this yr with Fields. People forget he had some really good games the second half of the season last year. And for a few years he was all they had. The guy couldn't lead a 4th qrtr comeback cuz he was gassed by then.
Got to say as a Lions fan I was extremely happy to see the Bears let him go. His agility and ability to escape the pocket under pressure is unparalleled compared to league competition

SET UP from the beginning. Tomlin said in an interview a week before training camp "He & Arthur Smith had to find a way to give Fields extended playing time to see what he could do". BLOCKING SLED was THEN required for 35 year old QB Wilson to push on the 1ST DAY of training camp, when it's NEVER been required of "any" NFL QB prior to that. Wilson SUPPOSEDLY injures calf and Fields takes EVERY 1st team rep in training camp while Wilson was relegated to 1-on-1 drills. 1st preseason game Fields plays, Wilson sits. 2nd preseason game Wilson started but WITHOUT sufficient practice time with 1st team, looks bad. 3rd preseason game Wilson starts after having "some" 1st team practice reps and looks GOOD during 1 brief series that ended in a TD and Tomlin immediately PULLS him from the game and inserts Fields. Tomlin said in an interview after game he pulled Wilson after ONE brief series as "he wanted to give Fields extended playing time". After that game, Wilson said his "injury" was NEVER that serious and the Steelers only wanted to be "cautious" with him but it was the regular season he would start without hesitation. 10 days later Tomlin announced Wilson was the starter for 1st regular season game BUT said it was "a difficult decision" and Fields would get plenty of playing time in packages "because it was too much talent to leave on the bench". ONE day later Tomlin announces in a post practice press conference Wilson SUPPOSEDLY aggravates his calf that was originally caused from "pushing the blocking sled" and Fields will be the starter for 1st regular season game against Falcons. Longtime Pittsburgh Post Gazette Sports Writer Ray Fittapaldi asked Tomlin during the press conference "when did Wilson inform you he re-injured" his calf". Tomlin, surprised by the question, responds "he was a limited participant in practice" and NEVER answers the question. Mark Kaboly, longtime Pittsburgh sports writer who's covered Steelers for 2 decades, says on the Pat McAfee show that Wilson was "visibly frustrated" during the Falcons game and WANTED to play BUT Tomlin and Smith were NEVER going to allow him to play. Afterwards, Mark Madden, longtime Pittsburgh Sports Commentator, asserts all of the drama was caused from the Steelers requiring Wilson to push a "blocking sled" and Fields NEVER would have had an opportunity to start had Wilson not been injured. Cam Newton is entertaining to listen to, and Justin Fields is entertaining to watch play. How far can the Steelers go with him and their defense? If there is bad weather in the January playoff games their style of play will be tough to beat.
I think it’s time we discuss how certain teams can’t coach offense. Was fields the issue in Chicago? Name the last good Chicago qb? Not saying Steelers are qb whisperers, but I’d have to argue they’re more competent than Chicago. Who knows, maybe that’s enough to help fields produce
That is just a bad narrative lol it really makes no sense either. A bunch of coaches in Chicago’s history and no one can coach offense? There’s no such thing as Chicago can’t coach offense lol
@@VvVT734 worst franchise for qbs historically and statistically. It’s not a narrative, it’s fact. Chicago qbs have never thrown for 4K yards or 30 tds in a season. Only team in the league that hasn’t had a qb do that.

@VvVT734 but there's some truth to it when everyone is scratching their heads to think about good nit even great Bears qbs. Cutler good but erratic and that was years ago Browns had the same problems for years Some teams just eat through qbs and can't draft, develop and set things up for them
100%, I’ve been seeing this narrative pop up around the league from former QB’s like Brady where they are saying there’s no development going on in the league and a lot of mediocrity. Maybe there’s some truth to it and the bears just can’t develop players well. Meanwhile, you have the Steelers, who are no means QB whisperers, but they are one of the most stable franchises in the league with a storied history. If you are going to be a team to develop a qb are you going with the franchise that has never had a qb throw for 4K yards or the franchise that has had 3 head coaches in 55 years and 6 super bowls.
The funny thing is, this is no where near Justin’s ceiling. He hasn’t been able to play free since he left Ohio St. The man has had more coaches than Macys. They want to change his feet, change his throw. Just let the man play. Tomlin dangling his job over his head like he the warden doesn’t help either. Especially when everyone knows that Tomlin and Russ are buddy buddies. When Justin gets that check and that solidified QB1 title along with a coach like Mike McDaniel who actually knows how to run a offense around the player instead of having a player run a offense around the coach, he’s going to go full Short Bus on the entire league!
@@theopportunityforgaming_yt Nah you let him play free when he has protection and weapons. But I didn’t mean run and gun free. I meant free as in coming into the season as QB1 and also not having Tomlin saying that Russ was going to start week 2 after Justin won week 1. Free as in having actual coaches that are capable of not only recognizing a players strengths and abilities but one that designs an offense that puts him in the best position to utilize those strengths and abilities which he hasn’t had yet in his entire NFL career. The last time that Justin had all those freedoms that I mentioned was when he was at Ohio st. He knew he was undoubtedly QB1. He had one of the best and most capable coaches. And he had both weapons and protection. Lol you brought up 13-4 ratio but do you know what his ratio was his last season at Ohio st…. 41-3. That’s freedom. That’s capable coaching. That’s why you can’t name one great QB that didn’t have those freedoms. It just tells you that it has to be hard asf playing in shackles. Which makes you think he’s going to go crazy once he becomes free.
@@theopportunityforgaming_yt I totally agree but I wonder if Arthur Smith is up to the task. He did some good things with Ryan Tannehill but him and Justin aren’t quite the same. I like Art tho so I’m rooting for him. I also wonder how much Tomlin is involved in the offense as well. You know defense coaches are always about running the ball. But that’s also the thing. Last year Justin had the Bears 2nd overall in rushing, and that was with him missing 4 games. The year before that they were 1st overall in rushing. With Pittsburgh defense, if you can consistently effectively run the ball, that’s a championship recipe right there. Just run the ball and control the clock. HeII even Pat Mahomes can’t do shjt without the ball.

The only thing i will say about russels calf and him dressing is the emergency 3rd qb rule does change things from my understanding. dressing as a 3rd qb for emergencies doesnt take a roster spot. theres literally no downside other than he might actually have to take snaps if two qbs get hurt.

@@Nobody-su9km I can’t call it lucky. I try and be fair. He played well. Yes the defense is amazing but Fields performed well. Kudos to him. Let’s see if he can keep it going.
If you look at Fields in college he showed a lot of different types of throws and displayed a lot of arm talent/touch. His issue was always going to be if he could dissect a defense and coverage before/after the snap and that the talent on his team was not going to be a step above the majority of competition. In order to assess a defense as a QB and be productive you either need to be very meticulous in preparation, have great coaching/teaching, have an O-Line that gives you enough time, be able to extend the play long enough for your brain to process, and/or have insane talent that always gets separation. If you don't have at least 2-3 of these you're going to fail, doesn't matter who you are. I honestly believed before the season, Russ or Fields was going to be a scapegoat given 4-6 weeks and if they lost 2 or more games in a row they were going to get pulled and blamed for everything. Now that Fields is hot they'll ride him until the wheels fall off, if they ever do.
1 TD as an offense in 2 games ain’t gonna cut it lol. Give em the one they called back. 2 TDs in 2 games as a WHOLE offense ain’t gon cut it lol. We talkin like Fields has done anything but be a game manager
Bruh you're right but there were more out there. There were two passes called back that would have had them inside the ten. One in the ATL game and another one in the Denver game in addition to the TD that did get called back. So there is a realistic chance that there are 3 additional TDs they could have scored based on Justin's arm getting them inside the 10. So 5 legit TD drives in two games in addition to what Boz is doing would look a lot better. Penalties wiped all three off the board, not poor QB play. So the production has been there, the offense needs to clean up the mistakes.
A lot of that comes down to Smith's conservative play calling, we haven't really seen Fields unleashed yet, but he's not forcing a lot of passes or turning the ball over. I'll take a game manager that doesn't cost them games.
@@Tdawgg23Ikr. I don't get what people are seeing. If they want Fields to be the starter next season that's fine. But, use Russ on this one year contract he got and just let him ride it out because we know no matter who the starter is they not beating KC anyway.
I've been questioning this from beginning of the season that I believe that Russell may have had an injury but it was being used as a ploy to allow Justin Fields to take the reigns
I have be thinking the same all along. Tomlin is protecting Wilson's ego, being evasive with the press, and going with his young guy who has talent and a future.
I'm with Cam 100% besides him saying fields playing out of his mind. Fields is managing the game perfectly and doing what it takes to win. This is the WORST we'll see of Justin field in a Pittsburgh uniform and he's playing well already. Better than people expected.
What about setting up Justin Fields with a no-pressure situation in the media? Would be a genius way to not embarrass russ and give fields a great opportunity

Man as a steelers fan i am so fucking excited for the future, justin fields has so much raw potential, thank u bears for trading him to us. personally i think the "russ is hurt" narrative is to ease the pressue on fields a bit from steelers fans. we'll be expecting a backup performance instead of a legendary big ben 500 yards passing performance
Pitts is a really good fit for Fields. A decent oline, weapons and a solid run game with the steel curtain. He has the legs too when needs to run and I see him going through reads and only running when he needs too.
Crazy how good coaching can revive a player… as a bears fan I’m hoping Justin found a new home in Pittsburgh and takes em to the playoffs it wasn’t his fault things didn’t work in Chicago
I'm a Bears fan. I'm glad we got Caleb. But I feel like Justin had Keystone Kops coaching him in the Windy. I think he allowed those coaches to short circuit his confidence. That won't happen with Caleb. I will always root for Justin to succeed. His work deserves success
He’s right - it’s not all about passing yards . I wonder if the “QBR” formula accounts for the full value of a QB who can escape pressure and extend plays ?
As a Steelers fan, watching Justin play last year I kept saying we need a young qb just like him. As an Illinois native, it doesn’t surprise me the bears got rid of such good talent lmao thanks Chicago
I had wondered about the exact same thing.......Why did Wilson dress if he is 'injured'. Shouldn't he have been in sweats on the sideline and QB3 should be dressed? My only thought was that maybe he is 95% and they want him 100%, but would feel ok putting him in if Fields had to come out for some reason. I do think Fields has a good shot to be the starter going into the future. He is improving every week and he is protecting the ball. He doesn't have to win the game alone. He just needs to manage it and finish with more points than the other guy, be it 6 fields goals from the Boz or some mix of TDs and FGs. Even the Fields haters in the Steelers fans (and there were a lot at the start) are starting to see some potential.
Cam is right.. if you’re the starter and you dress for the game, you’re playing in it. If you’re injured, you have on street clothes just like practice squad guys

Shanahan learned that the hard way with Lance, you're better off waiting for a QB with a good team than to build a team around a fresh qb. Russ might still have some ball left in him but why waste time when Fields can potentially be the starter long term for the Steelers. They would be stupid to give Russ a long term deal after this season. Fields is finally playing for a competent coach and franchise too.

You never let a QB play free in the NFL until you see his progression. Let him play free if he gets 13-4 TD-INT Ratio.

@@chiefgangmusic Jesus just stop already.

I’ve never seen such an average QB like fields get so much support and excuses allowed

Just subscribed and I don't for many! TOTALLY agree! Finally, an ex-player who's extremely unbiased and undeterred from speaking truth from being inside the locker room! Keep your same format, too, Mr. CamCorder! I've watched football for over 55 years since I was 9 watching Colts/Jets SB and let me tell you that today's Afr. Am. NFL QB's (athletes in other sports, too) have become so talented - yep, set the bar SO high... that even when they DO play well, they're still compared to other Afr. Am. athletes i.e. Lamar, Hurts, Mahomes (who doesn't look Afr. Am.) whereas they would be superstars 50 years ago compared to English Am. QB's back then... yet were denied opportunity to play that position. That's what I saw not read or googled!
You're embarrassing yourself.
Thank God he's in the AFC now
Really like Fields with the steelers. The coaching staff did an awsome job helping him scheme to avoid turnovers. The steelers will be in the playoffs.
Thank you Mr. Newton! For telling and showing what Justin Fields can and is doing in Pittsburgh! I’m rooting for him and his success in Pittsburgh so the Bears can see where they could’ve been
Such an underrated channel
Makes you feel for Caleb doesn't it, Fields in Pittsburgh and Darnold in MN , both guys written off, both guys having a rebirth , Tomlin and KOC show how important coaching is for a qb
Cam should be on ESPN
I never thought Russ was hurt either, I always thought this was a respectful way to give Russ the Backseat to JF cuz JF is BALLIN
Thank you for your video on caleb and the bears. Only confirming its the coaching
Still the wildest thing I’ve herd a ref say, “you young, u can take it” after a late hit on cam, can’t be an athletic qb cuz ur gna get treated much different
What is the name of the song that's playing when the video ends?? The
Bears fan, Fields fan. I'm sure Caleb will be great, but Justin Fields was the most exciting quarterback Chicago has had in my lifetime (and I'm not young). Russell can keep dressing on the sideline, but he's going to be holding a clipboard in Pittsburgh.
We’ll see! Interesting theory, I’d like to see Russ play honestly, but Fields is doing great!
That drew bledsoe throwback is tough, Cam. You really one of them ones bro.
love the video came good to see a fields supporter lets get it bro!!!
That’s what I said on day 1. He was suited up and I was like, “Justin is the starter! They just don’t want to blast it out there like that.”
Subscribed. Cam explaining truth is great
@@zetecfreak what truth did he explain about Fields?
Man as a steelers fan i am so fucking excited for the future, justin fields has so much raw potential, thank u bears for trading him to us. personally i think the "russ is hurt" narrative is to ease the pressue on fields a bit from steelers fans. we'll be expecting a backup performance instead of a legendary big ben 500 yards passing performance
Pitts is a really good fit for Fields. A decent oline, weapons and a solid run game with the steel curtain. He has the legs too when needs to run and I see him going through reads and only running when he needs too.
Cam in uniquely qualified to access this situation.
Excellent analysis Cam! ❤❤❤❤
Dam, Cam spot on analysis love your content all the way here in South Africa, respect from Neil Lee Fon
I believe you're exactly right💯...J.Fields looks great so far🏆
Cam is still on it. I thought the same thing. Steelers is my team forever.
