I have this same kit to build. I just finished a 69 version, (which was a Salvage project) OMG what pain in the rear end with a few fitment issues. I sure hope this one isn't that way too.
Just bought this kit and actually subscribed to your channel today from your Badger Primer video. Very disappointed to see you gave up on the channel. You have a good commenter voice and are very detailed in your descriptions. Seems to me you should have had a lot more views/ subscribers. I guess it's all in the timing and UA-cam's recommends. Would have loved to have seen you build this beauty.
I know this is an old review but they still offer this kit today. I just finished this one a couple of months ago. There are some fit issues and mine had some serious flash on some of the trees. Also getting the body to go on was a real chore. just be aware that there are going to be some frustration from time to time.
I just got this kit and you are right. The molding was great it had zero flash, but there was alot of parts that were warped, like the chassis and door panels. I hope some hot water will reset it. There were so!e injection marks on the body where the roof meets the body right at the back of the window trim. I thought the kit was really well detailed and shouldnt be to bad in making adjustments.
Good job going over this 68 charger i have 8 of these kits,as well as 8 of the 70 charger, the 2 and 1 kit of the 68 is awsome.i was glad they came out with the 70 but now hopeing for a 2 and 1 kit of it wich would be cool, they they would sell a bunch more .thanks
I love Revell kits, they're most definitely my favorites. That being said, I didn't like this kit. I had some fitment issues and the final product was not great. I will admit that I'm still learning and trying to get better, but it's definitely a difficult kit.
Thank you for the review! It was very helpful to know what I am getting in my box when it ships. mine is going to run the scale 1/8th mile slot car drag course once it is done! should be hitting 30-45 mph!
Would you recommend painting every single piece before assembling? If so, how do you know what color for each part? I was kind of expecting the instructions to have a color for each #'ed part. Also, if I am going to hand paint with enamel. Do I need to bother with sanding? Or just do a soapy wash? Any base coats or just several layers of enamel?
Hi new sub to your channle love your charger i only bauvht a 68rt revell kit yesterday but also yesterday in the post from a new freind from UA-cam who sent me out a charger daytona by revelle too 69 one so found ur channel snooping around for some nice new colors and ideas to build mine like but just subbed your chsnnle from mine have nice day kit looks great. Nice review, but turn off the auto focus! Might want to think about picking up the pace slightly and varying the angles and adding some background music...makes for a more interesting video.
Got this as a gift good to know about the basics as my first model
Have fun with it. Make it yours!
Thanks! I'm just getting back into the hobby and this is the kit I choose as my first. Glad to know I picked a good one!

I had fitment issues with the 69 version, especially in the front. Hoses, fan, shroud, radiator, frame into body, hood omg.
I'm currently building this kit at the moment I've built it 3 times already
Thanks, now i can finally stop procrastinating and build the car. thanks!
Nice Review on this kit as I do have one in my stash that I have not open yet.
how do you afford to keep kits around in a stash!:) Is there a way to get kits cheap?
Jason ebay 25 bucks
I got this kit for $17 at hobby lobby with a 40% off coupon.
I got this kit today at Fred Meyers in Fairbanks today $19.99 and no shipping. they have lots:)
@@DeeMusic993 Same, 40% off is a great deal for this kit!
Do you think the header pipes for the race version would be accurate for SB and bb Chevy and Ford engines .they look so cool

better buy 4 or 5 of these kits then.....so when you crash, at least there are spare parts. Good luck
Para Scale Models true enough 😁
I know I'm late but what type of paint is required?
