2010 was one of my favourite years. 5 drivers going for the title for the majority of the year.
Jenson was just out by the end
Hello viewers
Hello super gt, viewers here.
Oh hi Steve
Well Hello there
man, Robert Kubica had so much potential
He did have potential BUT it was his own fault to put himself in a high risk dodgy rally.
+TheChamp 101 you've just demonstrated how to go totally off topic.
sultanabran1 erm I think both of them were referring to the fact kubica got so hurt taking part in that rally that he can't participate f1 even until now
Fifty Shades of Giroud love your name! giroud is awesome. well we're talking about his potential and how good he is, not talking about a rally accident. the rally crash is off topic.
+imthemosthandsome
No, overrated like Hulk. He lost to Heidfeld in a same car over two seasons. How was he so great?
still cant believe alonso lost that year's title
i still can't believe that Red Bull screwed Webber's title.
thewaifuwars Vettel screwed his title at istanbul
+ciro esposito Definitely. Pretty sure Grosjean was in GP2 in 2010.
+Ridhuan Abu Bakar and how did Ferrari react? By firing Chris Dyer, Schumacher's championship winning engineer and Aldo Costa, then aerodynamicist and now engineer at Mercedes... and they have been struggling ever since...
Neil Williams too much ferrari pride?
Kubica is so bad ass... "I never knew I had a puncture!" Classic.
That is why he has zero championship, because he can't asses the situation
TheDazzler420 BRO which of his car is capable???
@@TheDazzler420 go home, he has more skill than many other drivers, Lewis among them, kiddo.
@@hfbloke706 why didn't he get capable car then?? Are car companies dumb to give their state of the art cars to bad drivers? Are you implying vettel and Hamilton were chosen to drive their perticular championship cars because they are bad drivers??
@@TheDazzler420 Oh yea Kubica was in BMW right? Isn’t that an established car company? And were their cars capable? Please reply
2010-2013, when F1 is entertaining, not because Vettel's domination, but because there's 3-6 strong candidate for the championship even after 15 races, unlike F1 nowadays when you know that the Mercedes's duo will be on top of the championship just after 3 races
There were also more teams competing for wins.
True, just look 2011, 8 diff Winners in the first 8 Races...
Jesus Mec, that was 2012
Memory of a goldfish. The era when Vettel was winning over half the races, finishing in the top 2 for 80% of races and winning 9 in a row. Such competition.

I think all F1 fans, whether you like him or not, secretly want Alonso to get his 3rd title one day.
+Daniele Iavarone Vettel´s Fans saw 4 Championships in a row and 2 just in Front of Fernando. If I was a Vettel Fan i would feel bad for him to not get a Title in 5 years with Ferrari and now drive a Mclaren Honda at the back of the field.
+Jeeshan Choudhury It's maybe the most naive comment of all time! XD
He deserves it. He deserved that 3rd in 2010 and another in 2012 with Ferrari
Daniele Iavarone Bullshit, i want Alonso to win more than Vettel.
Jeeshan Choudhury I just felt like the chapter Alonso/Ferrari had to be closed with a title. I'm do sorry for Nando
This looks so much more enjoyable unlike now where it's only enjoyable to see the Mercs in trouble.
edit: Emphasis on the now and when the comment was posted. Super keen to watch
Haha, thats true.
+MJTbreww Funny, because in 2010 everyone said it was a boring season, just as we're saying it now to this season. Yes, the championship was close, but people always find something to complain about. In 2010 (continuing 2009) we hated the V8 engines, just as we hate V6 now. We hated Bridgestone for being the only tyre supplier and that FIA made them worse (slick surface, new compounds, etc), just like we hate Pirelli now. We hated the new aero regulations, just like we hate the d*cks on the nose the last 2 years. But time makes everything better. In 2017, when we get the next big regulation changes, whole new cars, rules, maybe tyres, etc, and we'll find our problems again and think about 2015 as a good (or better, at least) year, because we didn't have THOSE problems back then.
+TheMillenotti Excactly! Everyone is just hit by too much nostalgia. No matter what era of f1, at the time it was running people complained.
+TheMillenotti I wish I could show this comment to all the butthurt fans!
+MJTbreww That's because it was a more enjoyable season. And It has nothing to do with nostalgia. 2010 was legitimately a great season. You had three teams fighting for wins and lots of drama mixed in. Even the "complainers" kept quite for the most part and enjoyed the season.
Good old times with Robert Kubica :(
+Sopel Ehhh ;(
He needs to get it together and get him some in WRC, if you know what I mean. :-D
That's right! Best news I've heard all year :D

Ano Niem dafuq do you mean rip
I miss Alonso vs Vettel vs Hamilton. Used to be fun when three teams fought for the title.
Also Mark. He came 3rd in the championship that year. The points were so close between these 4 that if everything had gone a certain way in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (the last Grand Prix on the calendar), anyone of these 4 could have been world champion. Fernando had been leading up to that point but because Seb came 1st, he lost the championship by 4 points. Had he come 4th or had Seb come 2nd, he'd have won the championship. If Mark Webber had come 1st and Fernando had come 3rd, he'd have been World Champion. If Lewis has come 1st but Fernando hadn't gotten any points and Seb and Mark hadn't gotten enough points (incredibly unlikely though), he'd have won the championship. It was a battle between these 4 in the end. This is also one of my favourite memories. Seb had crossed the finish line and his engineer told him to wait for everyone to cross the line so his victory could be confirmed. Then, the engineer says "Kubica P5... DU BIST WELTMEISTER!" at which point Seb starts crying. That moment was just my favourite in the whole of F1. In 2012, there was also competition between Seb and Fernando as Seb had won by 3 points. Brazil was the last race and Seb had gotten spun out at the start to the point where he was last. Everything seemed lost for him, especially after his team completely messed up his pit stop. Despite that, he kept on pushing and went from P25 to P6, winning the championship. Fernando came 2nd that race but had he come 1st, he'd have been World Champion. In 2013, Seb was absolutely dominating, breaking a world record for the most consecutive wins (9 Grand Prix wins) in F1. It got to the point where Lewis said his dominance could bore fans. Kind of funny how that played out. Ever since then, the only people who managed to challenge Lewis were his teammate Nico Rosberg (who actually won the championship in 2016) and Sebastian Vettel (who came 2nd in both in 2017 and 2018). 2017 was kind of unfortunate for him in the end because he had to retire when he, the king of Singapore, was on pole in Singapore. He also had to retire in Japan. If those 2 races had gone well for him, he just might have won. This year, we're also getting a bit of competion between Max and Lewis but it just hasn't been fun to watch compared to the years from 2009 to 2014. With Lewis spinning out his only opponent to Valtteri taking out a third of the track, almost forcing Max to retire. As well as that, there's barely any competition between the other competitors. Valtteri and Lando are battling for 3rd place but neither have even won a race so far so they're definitely not gonna be battling for the championship. Nowadays, Formula 1 has become more about the car than the driver whereas it should, imo, be the other way around. Formula E has gotten this right but Formula 1 just hasn't for some reason.

but also, F1 is not a spec series. if you want equal cars, just watch F2. if you try making F1 a spec series to be all about the driver with zero car innovation, the manufacturers like Mercedes and Renault will pull out. if that happens, you simply won't have enough money to have the fastest cars in the world anymore.
if it comes to that, what's the point of F1 at all lol might as well "promote" F2 to F1

Pause at 0:22, what Fernando did here was virtually identical to what Seb did to Max, only there is no car on the outside (Raikkonen 2017). So anyone can understand why Seb moved over, in this vid Fernando doesn't know with certainty that there is no one on the other side of Seb, he guessed, and it paid off, unlike for Seb.
Luke Montgomery Alonso did it in dry conditions not in wet conditions
exactly what I was going to say. It is very common at the start of a race.

I bet Alonso is thinking "I shouldn't have left Ferrari after all"
+Huey Freeman Wasn't his decision
Explain
WaRk1ll3r111 Well... from what we know it was Alonso who decided to leave early. His loss and I'm not even a Ferrari fan.
+Niderfyn That was him trying to say he made a bad call. Ferrari not winning the championship doesn't justify his move, its a cover up. He prematurely left Ferrari for a team that's struggled since lewis Hamilton left. Unless McLaren have a huge turnaround... he messed up.
nope actually he said it last week that he said ferrari isn't making any progress and that they are still finishing behind mercedes and he didn't want to come close to winning the world championship but not wining so he still doesn't regret his move to Mclaren, though they finish behind a lot of people, and also this was 8 months ago so yeah no one knew yet
I love Alonso so much.....feel so sad for him now...great driver
I feel so sad for Alonso, 6 years ago he had a great car and the great car had an amazing driver. 6 years later, you have a great driver in a shit car. WTF McLaren?

No DRS was the reason why Alonso failed to overtake in Abu Dhabi.

Well, F1 is a 100% Money-put-in Buziness.

+George Liverpool It would be a shame if the talent of Alonso goes wasted this way. waiting for Alonso vs Vettel vs Hamilton. The 3 best of the modern era. That will happen only if McLaren can improve their car. now only drivers. It would be Ferrari vs Mercedes vs Mclaran. 3 different car with 3 different engine. That would make an awesome year of f1
+Sanket Parmar Whatever happens now the year is lost for McLaren. If they can build a competitive car for next year Alonso and Button(if he stays) will have a chance to fight and challenge for podiums, but no sooner than that.I think watching Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes fighting equally for wins is something that will take time. The only team that can challenge the Mercedes team up to a point is Ferrari.
