  • This video is aims to teach players the correct technique for chest and shoulder passing.
    Drill Instructions:
    Chest pass- in pairs
    1) Players to pass the ball back and forth.
    2) Encourage strong step through, push the ball and end with thumbs down. Follow through to partner’s chest.
    Drill progression
    1) A cone is added behind each player
    2) Players run and push off the back cone and land with a two-foot jump stop
    3) Players run and push off the cone and land with a one-two land.hest and shoulder passing.
    Drill continued-
    Shoulder pass- in pairs
    1) Repeat process using a shoulder pass.
    2) Encourage opposite arm to foot, strong step and follow through with arm pointing in direction they want the ball to go.
    Drill Progression
    1) Players run and push off the cone and land with a one-two land.

    Chest passing- Key points: strong step through the ball, push the ball end with thumbs down, follow through to chest.
    Shoulder passing- Key points: opposite arm to foot, strong step, and follow through with direction.
