It's 2021 and this car has aged gracefully. I've owned a 01 Accord exl, 2006 Accord Exl, 2008 Accord exl v6 and now currently own a 16 accord exl. This car is sexy and quite elegant. The rear led lights are clean and look like they were taken right off a BMW. I prefer this style/ yr than the current 2018-2020 model.

Just traded my 2007 Camry XLE for a 2017 Accord EX-L V6. Not the best idea, but slowly getting used to the change. What I gave up though. The 7 disc CD player, the glove box light, more storage places, holding straps under each visor, coin holder, and a temp control on the steering wheel. Etc... Little things that made life more pleasant for me. Of course, I was blown away by the style and technology of the Honda car, and of course the Lunar silver color. Oh well!
I currently own a 2013 Acura TL Advance. My next car will likely be a slightly used 2016 Honda Accord Touring, preferably in silver like the one in this video. Beautiful car and a gorgeous color. Will be early 2018 when I upgrade.
cool thing about my accord is really just that, cool. With remote start, if it is hot outside the A/C will automatically kick in so the car will be cool when you step into it. Same as when it is cold out. The heater kicks in as well as the heated seats. Not too shabby
At 1:30 into the film, you state that, "...Honda typically uses a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine" and that simply is not true, plus the V6 is also available in the EX-L as well as in the Touring trim.
I love Honda. I am on my 9th Honda if you include my wife's CR-V, and my lawn mower. I own a 2012 Honda Accord Ex. But I think there is too much hype going on the automobile industry right now. To get better reviews and technology (Apple Car Play etc.), they made it 3 inches shorter, they switched the steel hood and trunk for aluminum (never as strong as steel), and most importantly they took out the front double wishbone suspension. Don't tell me there is no difference between the multi-link and double wishbone until you have driven both down a curvy mountain highway; the double wishbone is a BIG difference. They may have taken it out because it is easier to get front crash results up without it (I don't know why), but I remember that was the reason they took it out of my 2002 Civic. Less weight, no steel hood to absorb shock, it makes sense. Or they just trimmed the cost to put in the touch screen Apple Play/Android Auto. Dumb. I am disappointed. I think they are cutting the wrong corners. Touch screens are fun, but distracting, annoying, and they only keep up with the technology for a couple of years. My Galaxy phone mounted on the dash board is far better than any navi system more than 5 years old. Also, you can put in great aftermarket cameras and touchscreens for under a 1,000$. I am disappointed that so many reviewers are easily swayed by a few toys that don't really make the ride any better. The differences are something to weigh carefully -- especially when you can get a used car for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Get a 5 year old Accord, save the price difference for a trip, or Christmas. The 2012 Accord has the same safety ratings:)
Not too long ago, I thought Accords were the most boring looking cars on the road. 2008 changed that (for me, anyway) and I still have my 2009. I love it and I will not get rid of it, BUT, every time Honda comes out with a new generation or refresh (except for the 2011-2012 :-/), I have a really hard time NOT buying a new Accord. I am so glad Honda started worrying about looks. :-)
I am a first-time Honda owner I research this car for about 2 years before buying it for my wife I got her the 2016 Honda Accord touring with the new LED headlights it is the sexiest car we've ever owned I got her a brand new 03 Acura TL S type when that came out we have 300,000 miles on that one I'm hoping to get the the same with this Honda touring model since it has the same Jay-Z engine. this one's definitely much sexier then are TL.
How about all of the complaints about the 2016 LED lights burning out? Over $700. for a new headlight assembly at 26,000 miles? I don't think so Honda.
It's a nice car but no AWD option which is a deal breaker for me. I bought a 2016 fusion Titanium AWD instead which is a great car but I would have seriously considered accord if they had the AWD option.
+BoredThatsWhy The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) comes with all models/trims of the 2016 Accord. However, from the LX to the EX-L V6 model, you'll need to purchase the Honda Sensing Package in order to get the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS). Both features come standard on the Touring model. But if you're simply talking about the blind spot camera that was shown in this video, all 2016 Accord models EX or higher come with this feature.
DecipheredEnigma Hey thanks for the reply. Thinking about picking up the touring trim. I noticed it does have blind spot alert, example, when changing lanes and there is a car in your your blind spot there is a beep or light that flashes alerting you before you merge. Correct? Also the TPS doesnt give you the reading but just alerts you, right?
+BoredThatsWhy I'm also gonna get a 2016 Accord so I did some research. Since the Touring Model does come with the Honda Sensing, I believe it can use the Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) or the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) sensors to detect if you're coming to close to a car. And I believe for the tire pressure, I don't think it doesn't give you an actual reading on it but just a light indicator when one of your tires falls out of the recommended PSI range. Keep in mind, I don't own an Accord and also thinking of getting one so what I say may not be fully correct,
DecipheredEnigma That's what I have found so far also. The TPS only indicates a warning and does not give reading. I am pretty sure they do not have a blind spot monitor but a lane change assist only, which is a bit of a let down but something you I can live with. Which model are you trying to get?
price and maintenance definitely cheaper than the Mercedes that's why I want my wife to 2016 Honda Accord touring does new LED headlights makes the car look so sexy
+Tom Eisenmenger Oh excellent, thank you. I remember now i read that somewhere. I have a 2013 Genesis R-Spec now but it's a LOT of car and expensive to insure, so I'll be looking to something else in a couple years most likely.
Yep. Honda is reasonably priced, reliable, ergonomically designed, powerful, and great looking. Really no reason to go with an unreliable expensive German brand that is expensive to maintain
