God, the thing with robot is you rarely see people who play him well (at least from my experience) But whenever you do, it's horrifying what people can do with his moveset
Kinda, Ivy himself said that cowboy is both too strong and too weak rn. But that also means he's planning on updating his kit asap, starting with the warp stance which isn't useful now, but it should be updated soon
Balancing cowboy has always been to be a nightmare historically. Even back in beta when "Walk Meta" was present because of a mere 2 frames faster recovery which made mirror matches boil down to who gets to be put in the corner first. Teleport is also cowboy's only real mobility option which happens to be the BEST overall mobility option in the game. It used to have some momentum which lets you move freely and dodge anti-airs, and go through wiz's projectile spam gaps (granted, if they didn't run away like a coward). I think he's trying to find a way to not make it too oppressive, the new stance thing makes him more flexible in combos and oki pressure but severely limits his general neutral
@@OGSilentMan it's hard to balance cowboy, as he is the most polarizing character in the game, he has no set play and loses tools as time goes on, while every other characters can set up and force 50/50's and control space, cowboy can't. If cowboy is good in neutral he's to strong to not have to work for decent neutral, as he doesn't need to earn it, however if his neutral sucks there is no amount of set play that will make it stronger since the only set ups he has is temporal bullet and throw gun.
Avon with the 5K combo LETS GOOO That fight was so close tho, I'm amazed how you managed to just squeeze it and deal just enough damage until the time ran out
as someone who's never going to be skilled enough to compete in any tourneys, I salute you for having to fight the "knockback? what's that" character (bc I use them all the time)
I thought I'd look up some high level gameplay and watch the wizards to help improve myself but it seems like the thing a wizard is best at in tournaments is getting it's ass kicked.
Nah, all the characters are for the most part decently balanced, Elucard is just built different. He's personally stated that he believes in the current patch Wizard has the best matchups

@@user-haHaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I would usually say that Cowboy is good for beginners but Cowboy is just awful now so Ninja or Robot would be the best to go for depending on your playstyle. You have to be very patient both with Ninja and Robot but Ninja is more about doing something first and Robot about catching your opponent because you have armor
just buying the game and man do i hate robot one move doing most my hp and me not understanding how any of his moves work so i can barely counter anything
@@oatmeal5672 I do, it's a command grab if I hit him guess what robot should no longer do the command grab. But no I hit him and get slammed into next week whille looking at replies from robot hate saying he's a grappler the things he has to do to get the command grab in the first place when it's literally frame one grab and even if you get a second fram you still can't counter it even if he was hit first
@@oatmeal5672 and free cancles being dumb oh idk if I'm gonna land my move so instead of reading or having any game knowledge I'm just cancle so I get to interrupt the Frame that would hit me and get to do a whole new move without risking anything. Ninja can throw out a drop kick Incase you rush in cancle it and air dash back when he should absolutely be punished for doing something so negative
Every single one of these clips represents a solid 10-30 minutes of misery for the other player.

Teleport and LSlice were two only things cowboy had. If you jump out of hslash range you counter 100% of cowboy's kit

Yeah. He has magnetize that pulls the opponent really fast towards you. Very hard to escape that. Can also just fly above you and be a huge threat
