I know of very few who become an icon because of a role they once played, especially in a series that was relatively brief. But it is even rarer to see that person become an icon in his own right. I love William Shatner and wish him joy and long life.
I live on a Ranch on the High Plains of Colorado. One day back in 2000 my crew and I were taking a lunch break. I was sitting at the table looking towards the kitchen when there was the loudest boom I've ever heard. It nearly knocked me out of my chair. Isaw the expressions on the men were completely shocked. It had been a very pleasant day with no sign of a storm. Someone said WTF WAS THAT ? Then about 20 seconds later a blue ball of energy floated through the wall / window on the side of the house with a southern exposure right above the kitchen sink. It was about the size of a large beechball it floated across the room and passed right thru the 1957 International Harvester upright freezer that was infront of a window. It didn't do any damage to it or anything else. No smell of damaged electrical wiring or to the compressor. We were all completely bewildered. About 5 minutes later it began to rain; a couple of months later that old freezer crapped out. It had run for about 50 years without ever needing any repares. It was one of the strangest this I ever saw. 😮

I was the in-house contractor for the Prudential Insurance Company in the 1980's. I would go out to the loss immediately after the claim was called in, to perform emergency board-up service. I arrived at a loss in Whippany NJ. A glowing ball had burst through the upstairs wall from the chimney chase , leaving a charred 3 ft hole. The ball came down the stairs, leaving burn marks that exposed the gypsum core of the sheetrock through the wall paper. It floated through the living room where the family was on the couch watching terrified. It floated into the dining room, continuing to bounce off walls, burning away the wallpaper and paper on the sheetrock. It slowly went into the kitchen where it burst through the wall into the garage, hitting an outlet and blowing/burning out the electrical system and major electric appliances. They described it as a deeply blue ball with orange and white aura around it. Same exact description as this video. Go figure.

What happened to Captain Kirk ? That was the last one one of those shows that I ever saw. I know they made real theatre movies of that show, but never saw them. I thought that guy Spock was pretty cool, he had zero emotions. Radar ears !
Even a person like me living in small town Malaysia back in the 1970s could tell when military jets flew over breaking the sound barrier. If a person in such a remote part of the world could tell sonic booms, how could someone in the advanced United States mistake the same.
@@fuktrumpanzeeskum Back then there was a war going on in my part of the world agains the communists. When the planes flew over in the day time, we knew we were in for nighttime fireworks from air strikes and artillery bombardment. It turns out that the supersonic planes were reconnaissance aircraft travelling at speed to avoid missile lock.
And if we addsome other clues we may think it was a US-nazi (post iperation paperclip) military experiment on the population. The 3 holes bring laser to my mind. The orb may have been a result of the power convergence or a hologram or even a spying holographic device :) Planes in the US seem oddly attracted to buildings and inhabited areas. Poor chickens.
Is this the siund of a distant Thunder? There seem to be planes flying over my area 24/7 unseen but heard like rumbling at times, esp when there is the evenint-to-morning quiet. Irritating to me. I am sensitive to sound etc.
So, we’ve got glowing balls of light, time-warping fog, and secret nuclear tests-classic! But seriously, did anyone else get stuck imagining Shatner narrating your life? Like, "Suddenly, a glowing fridge beckoned with the promise of a late-night snack… but was it a meal, or a mystery?" 😆
Great point regarding the shortcut due to fuel expansion and sonic booms due to breaking the sound barrier; however, military laser weapon is also very plausible.
I love this show. That being said, i think the Boom was a tetonic plate break. Not aure about the light, though. Maybe something in the earth's inner layers eacaped when the plate ahiftted? Not a scientist or anything, just a guess.
I witnessed ball lightning in the early 80’s. It was a very hot summer in Texas, we were in a heat wave and the temp over 100 for months. I can remember that day in detail. I had just got home from school and barely sat down to watch some gilligans island. Heard a very loud boom outside. Assuming a car had just crashed I ran to the porch, swung the door open just in time to see it. I watched it rolling from the top of the hill, and running right down the street, keeping in line with the power lines. It passed the neighbors yard and it sized up with their VW Bug. It was like flames of fire, white, blue, yellow and green on outer sides of the ball. It didn’t make a sound as it zoomed down the road, and I watched it disappear behind a school football field a block away. No one else saw this, and I felt like a fool for telling anyone. It wasn’t until years later I read about this and it was exactly what I also had experienced.
Just a few weeks ago there were 2 sonic booms over Auburn, Washington. They messed up my computer for a little while and scared the "heck" out of me! 🐈⬛🐈⬛👵my cats Teo, Twotwo and me

Positive Giants...lightning discharge from the top of the thundercloud can release as much energy as 2 nuclear power plants...2,000 MEGAJOULES. Like a nuclear explosion but pure electro-magnetic energy. Ball lightning might be capable of "QUANTUM TUNNELING" or "QUANTUM JUMPING" since they can pass through solid objects, even airplanes and walls and come out the other side. Sometimes Ball lightning does explode, or it silently disappear & reappear and manuever like a "UFO". "Earth Lights"..."Marfa Lights of Texas' There are many causes of Ball lightning and it's been created in Physics labs with high-energy electrical discharges but they decay rapidly. Tesla wrote and talked about ball lightning and how he could create it with his high voltage wireless transmission towers...or "Magnifying Transmitter."
In the first scenario, the boom event took place in 1978. The witness commented that it had occurred 33 years earlier from the date of the video's filming. That would make this program's original air date in 2011. At that time, William Shatner would have been thirteen years younger than his present age, making him only 79 at the time the video was made. Mystery of Mr. Shatner's apparent youthfulness solved!
Back before they band doing sonic booms I was at a air show and it was awesome. They band it later because people complained about there windows being blown out. 56 years and I've seen so many things that defy human explaination
Electronic fog...................... The movie "The Incredible ShrinKING Man " comes to mind. I remember watching it over 50 years ago .The boat goes through fog , then the character begins to shrINK in the world around him . Fights with a CAT and a spider using a sewing NEEDle as a spear . The CATastrophe began in EDEN . Then the world was sCATtered at the tower of Babel. Then the world went crazy and in NEED of mediCATion.😊
I've experianced this Blue Ball lightening. Also called plasma energy. It was as big as a large beach ball. It appeard after the loudest subsonic boom I'd ever heard. It shook the house and I almost fell out of my chair. A couple of guys were with me in my dining room getting ready to eat lunch. I was at the head of the table looking towards the kitchen. The Plasma Ball slowly came thru the window just above the sink. It slowly drifted across the room and penetrated my 1958 International Harvester Freezer. It simply just passed through it and went out the window behind it. Like a ghost. The old freezer worked fine for another couple of months then crapped out. I've often wondered what if one of my crew had been washing the dishes at the time ? Thankfully we had all just sat down for our lunch at that time and noone was standing in the kitchen. 😂
There I'm sure many of you out there who have heard the term too close to the forest to see the trees such as the same when you do not consider the value of others alternate opinions you can always return to your very firm opinion of your own it's always waiting for you so it's never a wasted endeavor to consider an alternate point of view no matter how ridiculous seeming it cannot harm you unless you consider yourself not to be of a firm mental standing there must be soil and earth beneath the firmament and rock as it were it is a rock that we stand upon my friends
I came close to being hit by lightening 3 times in my life two instances were from 3-8 feet. One was probably 60 feet away. Extremely loud and powerful and yes, the speed of light then a very loud noise then it was over.
My biggest complaint about asking experts (only experts in their field) is that when they know zero about things like these examples like "electric fog", but they will invent answers based on what they learned. All the answers given don't resonate with what those whose witnessed (what happened) said. I wonder what the experts said about the first (10,0000 years ago) forest fire. Frankly, I'm happy with no explanation. In time, the mystery will reveal itself.

When I was a kid in 1977 I lived in Florida I heard sonic booms all the time..
Now that sounded scary Lance.
@@kentuckywoman9863 We lived pretty close to McDill Air Force base so probably not so scary...
It looks like something we would see on Star Treck.
Treck?
NEMP is a Super-lightning phenomenon. Another associated phenomenon is the Ball-lightning.
Thank you!
He was caught up in space time knowing how to use it is very important.
I was living in South Carolina at that time frame and i didn't hear anything nor did anyone else in my town.
Okay.. so it wasn't heard in your town.
31:50 whats that sound effect from ? some old game ? or an apple OS, ive heard that somewhere.
Bad weather has been around even before humans.
David Childress at 33:47 has the best explanations.
The beaver sweater is chef's kiss!
Ball lightening maybe?
Edit: yeeeeeey 😀 14:29 my theory was suggested!
Hey there L. Shatner..... I have loved your interests in unnatural . I am too at 85. God bless you for challenging the unusual. I love everything you do in this regard. JF in FL USA
. I.
I watch any show that has Admiral Shatner in it
What happened to Captain Kirk ? That was the last one one of those shows that I ever saw. I know they made real theatre movies of that show, but never saw them. I thought that guy Spock was pretty cool, he had zero emotions. Radar ears !
Cool show. James T kirk. Doing great for 92 years young
With boat it's suspended animation you were in time warp or a electronic fog stopping time
Even a person like me living in small town Malaysia back in the 1970s could tell when military jets flew over breaking the sound barrier. If a person in such a remote part of the world could tell sonic booms, how could someone in the advanced United States mistake the same.
It's illegal for planes to break the sound barrier over populated areas in America so many of us here haven't heard too many sonic booms in our lives.
@@Spark_Iskra_z_Polski Rumbling engines sound nothing like a sonic boom.
William is a freak of nature himself.
Shatner looks younger because this doc is perhaps 25 years old. I saw it then on TV
The algorithm assumes I have Pets judging by the huge amount of adverts interrupting captain Kirk in full flow!
He’s saying a sonic boom caused all that damage to a house, chicken coop and killed all the chickens…I Don’t Think So…
So, we’ve got glowing balls of light, time-warping fog, and secret nuclear tests-classic! But seriously, did anyone else get stuck imagining Shatner narrating your life? Like, "Suddenly, a glowing fridge beckoned with the promise of a late-night snack… but was it a meal, or a mystery?" 😆
It also happened to Betty and Barney hill.
And they were ubducted by beings from Zeta Riticuli.
Ubducted? Are you sure?
Kathy seems a very credible witness regarding the fog the sudden circling of her yacht and the 2 missing hours. Freaky !!
My ex husband and I have also seen a sphere of orang and red. Looked like fire. We lost about 12 hours .
Richard Muller office looks like a bomb went off in there! Lol look at that desk.
Just a few weeks ago there were 2 sonic booms over Auburn, Washington. They messed up my computer for a little while and scared the "heck" out of me! 🐈⬛🐈⬛👵my cats Teo, Twotwo and me
Mr shatner is a legend i love his mentality, the way he thinks and process's things is amazing. If you love shatner then check out the episode of mike tysons hot boxin ft william shatner.
Ball lightning can do crazy things
Band??? 😂
There windows?
Happened here too in Marietta ga early 70s. Dobbins air force reserve
Did you see the Bill Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Forman and Terry Bradshaw special. It's hilarious.
Post the link? I'd like to watch it.
Love the fake birds in the garden
The name of the music at the begining pls?
I’ve seen a blue light like that before. I have no doubts of the paranormal ever since then.
was anyone else waiting to see him get zapped with the toaster ?
If this was some super weapon, & all that was demolished was a chicken coop & some TVs blowing up, I'm not overly impressed. 🇵🇪
We can't go to the moon, but the aliens can.😂
What are you talking about? We have been to the moon on a number of occasions.
Water and light earth and Air can create
Elements
We just can not see
A artificial Eye
Can see like a camera a Lencing effect
That the Eye can not see
Ball of Light is what you might call a crazy Diamond
Wonder if Sasquatch was around🤔..
Balls of light and Sasquatch have a kind of connection
The fog is most interesting to me out of the 3
had me going for a second...i was thinking those sure are some very calm birds.....then i took a closer look lol
It is the Lord saying enough is enough! This is just a tiny prelude of what is to come.
Uh-huh
Oh mighty Sky ghost 👻
Take your meds.
😂😂
Incomplete portal, most probably from CERN or Mother Earth. Tesla had talked about electrical magnetics of the earth.
The guy from canada has an irish twang to his accent
Space dust? Back then it was called "cocaïne" .
🤣🤣🤣🤣😜👍
Sprites, and Blue jets!
Join us on our journey... from the inner mind, to "~The Outer Limits~"
The sound may come from the crack that open the ground.
33 years later and I still wonder what that ball of light was. And when the hell am I going to get my hard drive back.... Lmao 😂
Sounds like someone was trying out Nikola Tesla death ray.
The Tunguska event happened around the same time Tesla tested his death ray.
