The History of Tiffany and Co Luxury Jewelry & 5 Things You Didn't Know
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 вер 2024
- Many people are familiar with the name Tiffany due to the popularity of the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's featuring Audrie Hepburn but Tiffany and Co has been around since 1837. Today we're talking about the history of Tiffany and Co luxury jewelry, their journey into becoming a global design house, as well as 5 things you didn't know about the internationally recognized jewelry brand.

Think Tiffany and Co is too rich for your blood? Think again. You'll be surprised that you can get a pair of Tiffany earrings for as low as $200. You must be thinking, "Yeah, right!," right? But it's TRUE. Tiffany does offer some sterling silver jewelry (I know, I know-it's not gold) so if you REALLY want to wear the name, you can. The other wise approach is buying preowned jewelry. This is an incredible way to save on big designer jewelry while still allowing yourself to enjoy all of the designer names you enjoy.
Take a look at Tiffany's "Mini Heart Tag Earrings" in sterling silver for $200, otherwise 18K gold will run you $800.
What's Tiffany most known for? One of them would be the iconic Tiffany®️ Setting, which was set into motion by Charles Tiffany in 1886. One year prior in 1878, Tiffany and Co brought us the Tiffany Yellow Diamond, which was first worn by Audrey Hepburn, and later by Lady Gaga. The History of the Tiffany Diamond is another story in and of itself, which perhaps we'll explore in a future video :) And what continues to be the best selling piece jewelry? Tiffany's Open Heart Necklace.

Do you own any Tiffany & Co. jewelry? Tell me about it!
I have 2 pieces sterling silver at a knockoff prize, both original checked but it is in scratch condition but at least I have tiffanys that didn't cause 100 USD.
I knew the tiffany experience so happy, I just known them after I got my first piece. 😍
I collect sterling silver Tiffany jewelry.
I own a lot of sterling silver Tiffany pieces. They’re my go to everyday jewelry when I want to be casual but chic. I also buy a piece whenever I go on vacation. So my pieces bring back memories of those places.
Why did you delete my comment addressing how they stole from Africa??
I don't own any Tiffany items; I wish I did. They has some of the most beautiful jewelry that I have ever seen.
Well in summary, all these precious stones and diamonds are naturally coming from africa, and despite of these expensive stones being sold to market with high price, africa is suffering, as sister kerry anne gidden said on her youtube channel.
Political corruption, greed, nepotism, & unjust practices in African countries not Tiffany's.
The Tiffany rings in general are just mind bogglin. Just superb ✨ You did a nice job giving us a little history lesson.
Thank you!!
What’s amazing is the history of the Tiffany company with royalty and political figures wearing their designs ❤️
I know! How cool is that??
Wasn't much competition to be fair.
Tiffany & Co. Is a timeless trove of treasures!
My dearest MoM introduced me to Breakfast At Tiffanys and I plan to have breakfast there soon!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing some of the history on Tiffany & Co it adds such precious value to each piece of Tiffany’s jewellery. I’d love to learn more about Charles Tiffany . I wonder how proud he’d be if he was here today and could see What he had started and what his artistic company standards is valued even greater to how each and every piece is impeccably hand crafted with such near perfection ,to how Tiffany of today takes such value and pride in the environment , the workers, the mining . It’s a first that no other jewellery company has done . I own one piece of Tiffany’s jewellery piece and a T&co gorgeous book which I adore them as one day will be handed down to my granddaughter. Im praying that my sons will be reading this as Mother’s Day is nearly here- Hint Hint !😃😂♥️
Great video! Francesca Amfitheatrof was not Tiffany’s first female designer though, that was Elsa Peretti.
I’m obsessed with Tiffany & Co. it’s my favorite and have a shrine showcasing all my collection.

Do you know if Tiffany’s has ever used lab grown gems in their jewelry. I am seeing some vintage pieces that claim to be Tiffany’s and are signed but set with lab created gem.
🎉
That painting wasn’t painted until around 10 years after Tiffany had adopted the 1837 Blue colour, so not true!

SDR rings made at forest hills in Cumberland ri. They continue to have serious casting issues with this it ring . Unfortunately the minds set isn’t about the quality it’s all about numbers . Anyone who enter Tiffany manufacturing at Cumberland ri will see wall to wall charts showing the end results . Managers receive on-time delivery bonuses.. so they attempt to push their work force to meet those numbers. Someone in New York needs to seriously look at if they should get rid of bonuses for on-time delivery. It hurts to work force. It’s not about Tiffany stands. I know I work there!
