Kawasaki Ninja 500R carburetor problems.

I'm taking a second look at these carbs since my bike is only running on one cylinder. I've cleaned the jets, but I'm going to give them another cleaning just to be sure. In this video I think I've found the problem. The valve that is actuated by the floats seems to be stuck on the carburetor for the dead cylinder. I'll try cleaning that valve and post my results in a future video. cheers!

Good video, did you get this fixed? I have the same problem on a 95. I found the stuck float the first time, cleaned it all and put it back. Still doesn't work, I am going to take the carbs apart again today and clean the holes in the carb housing, that you show at 5:35.

No. I'm still having problems with that cylinder. I have been slacking on this project but hope to pick it up when the weather warms up. I've cleaned that carb like crazy, so I think my parts are just beyond cleaning. I'm going to have to do the rebuild kit. New needle valves, jets, the works.

Hey Shane! I’ve noticed there’s a little hole in the side of the carbs. Mine used to have a small red plug but it feel out
When I blow into the gas line air comes out the hole. Does gas leak out of the hole for you?

Mine had no plug. I'm not sure what hole you mean, but I haven't noticed any leaks. I've kinda had this project on the back burner for a while, but I'll take another look as soon as I can.

Would spraying cleaner in the drain line clean any of the jets?

You should really open the bowls and remove the jets to clean them.
