Had a beautiful eclipse day here in southern IN path of totality! Big crowds didn't show up as predicted by media so that was a bust for all the festivities set up here. No pain no rain no Maine I'm sure you've heard -- sorry about that hip! Maybe Icy Hot or the sticky Hot Hands patches might help. Will keep you in my prayers.

We live in Erie, and we were in the path of totality. It cleared just in time, and it was fantastic!

Hope your hip feels better soon. Paris for me.

Definitely Paris. I've been learning French for a couple of years, so it would give me practice speaking it, plus it's a lovely city to visit.

Paris! I'm French-American and have not lived in my native country for 17 years. I lived a year in Paris after college, I'm sure I would experience it very differently now. Also I don't speak Italian at all but I'm relearning Spanish, so I'd said yes to a year in Madrid or Latin America.
Hope your hip feels better soon.

Oh dear I don’t like either Rome or Paris. Option C. Budapest.
IF you can stay on that Ibuprofen, ( stomach dependent - no other medical contraindications ) scheduled, and apply ice when in hostels. Until it resolves. Gentle stretching.

Budapest is on my “get to” list. Never been and want to see it. Need to see it before I could decide whether to live there for a year
