I love this. When we lived in New England, one dull day after Christmas, stuck by snow, I decided to paint my dining room. My dear hubby was in the family room downstairs, and asked me what the soft pounding was for. Nothing, I said! I was actually sponging the walls with several colors to make it look old. I then painted a scene, houses, barns, churches, all the things in an old time. I worked my way around the room, with trees at 3’ tall or short at 5”. I had a great time. He came up for a drink and said wow, did u do this today? Yes, I did, and we loved it for years. A group of us did a similar in an old colonial home in town, called the Smith Harris House. Such fun. Now we’re in Florida and I painted two birds in a painted wreath above the front door. Now it’s gone and so are the roses and trim on my closet door. Very pretty but it was time to go. I guess I need change. enjoy your little birds . Such fun and a little design to thrill your dear hubby.
I love birds! They’re always praising God right outside my door. They bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart. And sometimes I just laugh because they can be comical as well. I have a wild Wren who every spring builds a nest or adds to the nest she already built several years ago inside one of my decorative hanging baskets on the porch. We have learned to coexist quite well.. but if I do anything different to the porch, she is quickly there to check it out. Most of the time it sounds like I’m being scolded because I did not get her permission apparently. They are full of personality and very entertaining.🍁

This is a very whimsical and still sophisticated and stylish. When you said the sparrows disappeared in your home village it made me realize that I take the birds for granted. They are so common but if they weren’t there I would miss them so much!
I love this so much. Thank you! I am an artist too and have painted on furniture and have marbleized two marble fireplace surrounds in my home; a client saw these and asked me to do something similar in her Colorado home. She and her family loved these little surprises, often behind doors that stayed open so that you only saw it when you closed (for example, the bathroom door) for privacy. In the kitchen, butterflies were found inside a lot of the cabinet doors. All of the birds and butterflies were indigenous to where she lived, near Pike's Peak. It was a beautiful and joyous job!
I loved this. Slow and sweet and calm and quiet, charming pets and loving gifts for the eyes and the spirit....suddenly i found myself in tears for the small joys you shared with us. I thank you and thank you again, for the gifts and the tears, the bunny and the magpie. Without knowing it, these were really blesings.😮😊😅❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This made me smile with joy as I recalled painting scenes in apartments that we rented.....once a teensy little mouse in a corner, and another time a scene upon a bathroom wall! My mother painted a glorious landscape on her front door which was stunning. I think artists must embellish their world and the world is better for it! I was delighted to view your birds, they are wonderful and charming and my soul applauded you!❤

I'm glad your husband noticed right away, because it is really hard to miss especially with the branch hanging down. I'd love to make friends with a magpie. My favorite bird is quite boring looking but sound amazing it's the mockingbird.

I listened to the "racket":) all the wild birds make in our backyard - beautiful bird songs of happiness - while I watched your video. In my area of Florida, we even have small green parrots that once were caged pet birds that rewilded themselves - they arrive in flocks, loudly chattering. The Blue Jays are my favorite but occasionally we get small Owls at night or a red-shouldered Hawk and regal-looking waterbirds Egrets... I didn't know that secret paintings are a trend but it is what I've been doing in the garden - waiting to see how long it takes for him to notice:). Great job on your bird - hidden art project, looks perfectly lovely and in harmony with your home. A nature theme gives you so many options to continue and expand your project anytime you like. I listened to the "racket":) all the wild birds make in our backyard - beautiful bird songs of happiness - while I watched your video. In my area of Florida, we even have small green parrots that once were caged pet birds that rewilded themselves - they arrive in flocks, loudly chattering. The Blue Jays are my favorite but occasionally we get small Owls at night or a red-shouldered Hawk and regal-looking waterbirds Egrets... I didn't know that secret paintings are a trend but it is what I've been doing in the garden - waiting to see how long it takes for him to notice:). Great job on your bird - hidden art project, looks perfectly lovely and in harmony with your home. A nature theme gives you so many options to continue and expand your project anytime you like.
