Agree, although Fincher has said that the amount of time it takes to put the series together makes it doubtful we will ever get season 3. Which is tragic as I was hoping for Ramirez and BTK.
I was so surprised when they didn't announce season 3. This was headlined by a couple great actors. Along with our main characters killing it as forward thinking G-Men, the people who played the serial killers were absolutely amazing especially the Co-ed killer, he was spot on. While I'm sad for no season 3, I'm stoked that we at least got 2!
While some people think nothing justifies murder, I believe Gypsy Rose should have been given some leniency given the abuse she endured at the hands of her mother. She had most of her life stolen from her, and had another portion of it stolen because of the prison system. But, she is eligible for parole this December, so I hope the parole board will have some mercy on her.
I believe if you Google her, it's very likely she will be released this December and she has either married a guy while incarcerated or will be getting Wed as soon as she is out. What's sad is while she suffered she manipulated that boy and planned the murder of her mother. She had him do it then threw him under the bus and plead out to like 10 years then long probation, he got life. He is a bit slow and has asbuegers. He thought he was saving Gypsy Rose. That whole story is fucked!
As shown in the show and documentaries, she did get leniency. They were originally convicted and tried together. After she told more of the story, their cases were separated and her sentence reduced.
Congratulations on overcoming your addiction. It's hard for most people to to overcome their addiction to opioids. I know. I lost my grandfather back in 2019 partially due to his doctor getting him so dependent on painkillers and the like. It was sad to watch him fall apart...
Unsolved Mysteries is absolute perfection on Netflix. I love the nod to Robert Stack in the opening credits and that John Cosgrove is still integral to the production. It didn't feel the same with Virginia Madsen or Dennis Farina, perhaps because trying to replace Stack wasn't a necessity.
The Keepers and Making A Murderer suffer from the same problem, they take a side and don't show all the facts. The Keepers storyline reminds me a lot of the Satan Scandals in schools from the 1980's with stories so ridiculous you can't believe they were actually deemed credible. The stories in this one about what when on in a school in broad daylight is just crazy. Mindhunters is definitely the best, they stayed very true to the crime and the criminal. .
Glad to see The Keepers in the top 10. However, should have made Narcos a "franchise" and included the Mexico seasons. Wagner Maura was great in first section, but Diego Luna was great in the Mexico seasons.
good list, could have done a top 30 "the thing about Pam", "Extremely wicked shockingly evil and vile", " the trail of the Chicago 7", "Dirty John", "Inventing Anna" "trial by Media" "long shot" "crime scene: the vanishing at the Cecil hotel" "Night stalker: the Hunt for a serial killer" "unbelievable" and just one more "athlete A"
Thank-you, so much, for doing this! I, always, am looking for something I've not viewed, in my favourite genre. Thank-you, again! Oh, and, to my mind, while Robert Stack was so wonderful, on "Unsolved Mysteries", I don't think a better successor could have been chosen, than Dennis Farina!(btw, I was an HUGE fan, of "Crime Story"!)
I love unsolved mysteries!( I listen to it in podcast form. It is hosted on the podcast by Steve French.) it’s even better as a podcast because that also leaves room for your imagination!
I know this is a year out, but god I love your compilation videos 😅 any deeper look videos that you would like to do about any of these you will definitely get the views. Need any help? You hiring 🤣
True crime and crime/detective shows are my favorites (also sci-fi). I'm a true crime junkie and also addicted to any brilliant tv shows based on actual events. That said, Chornobyl is not that good and deserves to be called out for many manipulations. Because they changed/manipulated too many facts. And I know, I'm from Poland and was born & live near the Polish-Ukrainian border., very close to Chornobyl in a straight line. We grew up in the USSR and our families experienced first-hand what Chornobyl was, we know how Soviet intelligence forces operated at that time, who was who, what could be said in the public and what not, etc. And unfortunately, when you come from the region and watch Chernobyl, you immediately notice made-up things. This is sometimes very irritating about Americans and the US - that they often tell other people's stories, often falsely and with arrogance, just because they have the money for it because, after all, Hollywood is the epicenter of the movie/tv/entertainment in our world. In the end, the US is made of the entire world, and I get it, but it's still irritating when American TV people tell someone else's story and twist the facts for drama, and then present each other with awards in a self-congratulatory manner.

Can someone help me remember which series it is. I remember it used to be on FOX crime. In the center of the story is a skinny blonde policewoman with short hair who investigates gang attacks and tries to find out who the gang members are. They usually wear some red masks. I think it takes place in Rome.
At 17, I was disoriented and rebellious. I took it into my own hands to correct myself. I had the capacity to do so. I enlisted in the United States Army's Infantry. This was the mid 70s. We weren't all that bad as kids then. The world still had a little bit of decency to it. But sometimes, especially in this day in age, something like two months in a "Hell Camp" may stave off a twenty five year to life imprisonment for some. Only God knows.
I was thinking of that too, but maybe they don’t count it because the first one came out in ‘96, and I think this countdown of the “century so far” means starting in 2000.
Narcos was OK but "Patron del Mal" - the Colombian drama series also on Netflix- is way better and more true to life. I lived there for part of that time. Although Carlos Maura is good, I can hear his slight foreign accent and it yanks me out of suspending disbelief.
Joe is a sick human and that is giving him credit a worker got her arm ripped off during filming and that dirtbags response was I can never come back from this 🤮
Making a murderer; Why would you stay in the same town after released, knowing the cops are out to get you, who you’re suing for 100K+. So stupid it’s just sad.
Tiger King was unwatchable for me because of the subject matter and I couldn't watch Making a Murderer because I am close enough to the events that I got too angry.. On the other hand, I have watched Wild, Wild Country and Inventing Anna 3 times each because they are so fascinating.
Always thankful for what scheck does for the innocent but I always thought he does this bc of the guilt of getting OJ off. Still, he's doing commendable work nonetheless
Honestly I watched more of Documentaries than Movies or TV Series in 2022 alone and I used to hate them Documentaries. It’s either Movies or TV Series today are not much interesting that they used to be. Or I just got tired with remakes, woke shits or superhero movies 😂

My family members, me find these series intriguing and all
The Vow was the most disgusting show I have ever watched. How could you leave it out?
Mindhunter truly a masterpiece. Really hope for season 3
Netflix didn't officially cancelled the series but it seems David Fincher has moved on from the show
Still need the stomach for it.
I suppose I shuffle.
Agree, although Fincher has said that the amount of time it takes to put the series together makes it doubtful we will ever get season 3. Which is tragic as I was hoping for Ramirez and BTK.
I agree. Wish they would bring it back.

I love watching true crime shows, documentaries, like Cold Case, Forensic Files, The Last 24, The FBI Files, The New Detectives

The Night Stalker docuseries should be included. It was excellent!!
Exactly, i was expecting it in the top 3-4, very surprised it wasnt included!
Great videos you keep making. Keep it up you guys and have a wonderful weekend
Dope sick was one of the realest and true stories as someone clean from opiates for 7years it’s spot on with almost everything
Congratulations on overcoming your addiction. It's hard for most people to to overcome their addiction to opioids. I know. I lost my grandfather back in 2019 partially due to his doctor getting him so dependent on painkillers and the like. It was sad to watch him fall apart...
hey 7 years here as well. Good work!!
Don’t F with cats was a good one
Really glad to see 'The Jinx' getting the recognition it deserves.
Amazing video Rebecca from watch mojo of the top 20 true crime series ever so far, fantastic job.
Chernobyl, I'll Be Gone In The Dark and Dopesick are 3 of the best shows based on real events i've ever seen
Mindhunters was so good. I wish it went for a few more seasons

Mind hunter was so good! Why did they end it? They were leaving hints that they were going to show us the search for BTK and then…nothing.
Mindhunter needs to come back!! 😭😭😭😭
Unsolved Mysteries was my childhood! I remember a little of Robert Stack, but I mostly remember the Law & Order actor hosting it
Robert Stack's voice and the Unsolved Mysteries theme evokes anxiety from my childhood
Why not just call this the best of Netflix? That would have saved me 15 minutes...
because it more than that
Glad to see The Keepers in the top 10. However, should have made Narcos a "franchise" and included the Mexico seasons. Wagner Maura was great in first section, but Diego Luna was great in the Mexico seasons.

All Were So Gripping. Especially 'Trial By Media' - and some of it's sad and hopeless outcomes.
Mindhunter NEEDED more seasons!!!

This video should be called 'Top 20 Netflix True Crime Series' since most of the shows mention are from Netflix.
it more than just Netflix
may i add:
House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths
Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi
Indian Predator: Murder in a Courtroom
Recently watched a true crime show called Black Bird, really recommend it. Has very good actors and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time
I know this is a year out, but god I love your compilation videos 😅 any deeper look videos that you would like to do about any of these you will definitely get the views. Need any help? You hiring 🤣
Mindhunter should have came back from another season still mad that this got cancelled such a well acted and well written series
Also - “There’s something wrong with Aunt Diane” was excellent too!

You forgot the Murdaugh Murders documentary on HBO max! Very intriguing
Evil Genuis shouldve been higher in the list considering you could see police over look evidence as the camera man zooms in on it lol
Ever Peters killed it in the row. No pun intended
My bae so good 💥
Mindhunter is so good. I’m so mad they stopped after 2
I really LIKE Patton Oswalt!
I watch true crime series like Unsolved Mysteries, Cold Case Files and Forensic Files
Same here nice to see a fellow true crime watcher
I consider these the Crime Files Trifecta. Only true crime watchers find those opening intros oddly warm and cozy 🧐

Isabella Guzman Story starring Brenda Song , Michelle Yeoh, Gal Gadot as Lisa Guerrero.
Inventing Anna should’ve been on the list or at least an honorable mention
Making a murderer; Why would you stay in the same town after released, knowing the cops are out to get you, who you’re suing for 100K+. So stupid it’s just sad.
I'm amazed Netflix didn't just cancel their series' half way through as they're very cull happy at the moment.

The staircase man. I started watching true crime (evil genius and the staircase) then going to Mr ballen that's got me in ongoing true crime
Ever hear of America's Most Wanted? Should be # 1 with Unsolved Mysteries in second. They're actually in a class by themselves.
I think I've watched 90% of the list
yassssss I love that HBO max got a number 1 spot, they have a lot of good docuseries on there including jinx!!!!

Chernobyl was just amazing
💣 "Scam City" (2012-2014)

I really into these series
Surprised I didn’t see The Keepers on here.
I liked the true crime documentary don't fuck with cats what that man did to people and animals was just dang wrong and messed up on so many levels.
The Price of Honor should be on this list. Especially after Yaser Said was found and sentenced to Life in Prison with NO Parole
What about the Family Next Door?
See No Evil on ID should’ve made this list
The confession tapes is a great series too
Gracias
I preferred the actual documentary on OJ more. Really was able to show me how much of a sociopath he really is. Bone chilling.
