    The thing that strikes me in Bowie's interviews is his extreme alertness and his ability to just talk and talk intelligently about any subject. He must have been extraordinary intelligent.

    He did it right. I love him for that. And for being himself and standing up for everybody. He rocked. I'm never gonna forget him.

    So did Bowie and the interviewer have a translator assisting them through their earpieces, or did they both just understand French and English well enough that they each listened in their second language and responded in their first? The comfort level of Europeans with foreign languages is something that has always impressed me...

    Great interview. Could anybody, please, tell me what programme and TV channel it was recorded for?
    EDIT: Never mind, I just saw it: Canal +.

    Bowie is so precious in this interview...almost boyish and timid. His expressions I love to watch. And the way his eyes dart back and forth. The second guessing as if seeking approval. Not in the least arrogant or ego driven. Very impressive in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!!

      Actually his son Duncan studied philosophy in an American university.

      Q1: You turned 50 yo! A lot of rockstars have become (human) jukeboxes, release compilations and have a lot of success because of this. It is not the case for you as you release a new album which is very different, very lively. Why are you taking this path?

    • @lilyb.5820
      @lilyb.5820 8 років тому +4

      +Cami Castle Q2: You said that it will never be a definitive Bowie, and you prove it each day, each hour, each minute. Here it's a very different music style with Jungle music. A work that you have done a lot on the internet... you submitted a song like "Telling lies" on the Internet, the definitive version was a bit chosen by the people. Is that true?

    • @lilyb.5820
      @lilyb.5820 8 років тому +4

      +Cami Castle Q3 : "it's the end of discs?"
      Q4: "what are your contacts with your fans on the internet. Do you really answer to them?"
      Q5: "We have watched lots of people in the movie recounting your career before this interview, who are the men or women who have meant in your life?"
      Q6: "about friendship, wo have meant?"
      Q7: "in your life, are you looking for balance or imbalance?"
      Q8: "due to this lifestyle, were there moments where you have lost yourself (not today you look very zen)? ... who saved you?" ... "No third time?"
      Q9: "do you feel good at the end of this century?"... " where does this change come from?"
      Q10:"" how have you explained life and the world to your son who is 25?" ... "and about your life, how did you justify it with your son?"... "he was your best man at your wedding, at his request. This touched you a lot."
      Q11: "your life was a lot in magazines, because I guess you wanted to. Today you look much more reserved, is that true?"
      Q12:" What are you spiritual references? You said you were a Buddhist during 15 days (...) Are you some sort of "alien" or do you follow a path?...
      "Your brother Terry made you discover Kerouac"
      "The song in your album "7 years in Tibet" is a tribute to a novel written by a German author, Heinrich Harrer..."
      Q13:" you are very serious since the beginning of this interview. For your audience, your image is not easy to follow. You said you are a chameleon. Today there is another chameleon Prince. I don't know if you have heard of him?
      Q14:"Nowadays your clothing is plainer"... "Today so"... "You changed a lot the color of your hair in the past, is it more stable today? This may change tomorrow?"
