I went with Sonos because of the ability to mix/match speakers and subs to my sound preference and budget. I can add rear surrounds, upgrade to 2nd Gen 3 Sub, move individual speakers around, and upgrade individual components. I started out with a single Beam Gen 1, added IKEA Symfonisk bookshelf speakers later, added the Gen 3 Sub a year later, upgraded the Symfonisk rear to One SLs last X-mas, upgraded the Beam Gen 1 to Beam Gen 2 eight months ago, and move the old Beam Gen 1 and Symfonisk rears to master bedroom.
I couldn't do something like this with my old Nakamichi 7.2.4 system.

@@TipsNNTricks well i got mine after i returned a lg s95qr soundbar set, with the refund balance the difference i had to pay was only $127.00 with the sonos arc and sub gen 3 together.
600$ for a tiny subwoofer! That's crazy 🤣.

It is dual sub that cancels out most vibration with its form factor. You can put a glass of water on the sub at full thump and it would have minimal movement. Being wireless, you can place it anywhere in the room, on its side, and behind or under your couch. You can also add a second Gen 3 Sub if you have a very large space to fill with sound.
