While Sony ES are great, they are too expensive for many audiophiles. Other brands also excel and deserve praise for advancing the speaker art at an affordable price range. No single option can please all, so choice brings everyone closer to their ideal.
@@audiorevamp this is why you make a list from different price ranges. The Sony ES line is so far ahead of any of those. It's not even close. Yes they are like $400 a set but they are much better than every one of those.
@@audiorevamp no, it's not. I know people who regularly buy single speakers that are over the price of a pair. Most people are okay with spending $350 to $400 on a pair of headphones. Speakers are the same thing except for your car.
@audiorevamp gotta admit i may have just installed shittilly but they seem to have very limited volume before distortion. I have no clue what's better im very much a beginner tbh
@@svrsxlt Sorry about that. Low volume and distortion can result from several issues including underpowering the speakers, reversed polarity, damaged speakers, poor wiring, or incorrect EQ settings.
PRV Audio and DB Arnold have some of the best midrange component speakers. However, my list comprises full-range coaxial speakers (for bass, mids, and highs)
@audiorevamp I think I'm going to subscribe to your channel haha. I'm in the process of choosing speakers and I need 2 6x8s in the fronts regaurless of price.
@@operationsusfoods1354 Yeah sure...Go ahead and subscribe..more reviews coming soon I have shared links to get the speakers in the video description..
Hello. Thanks for your question. 6x8 speakers can be a better fit than 6x9s for some car audio enthusiasts. Their slightly smaller size allows them to be installed in more vehicle doors, including tighter spaces, without modification. At the same time, some audiophiles feel they offer a better balance of depth and fullness versus 6x9s in smaller door cavities. I'll post a review of 6x9 speakers soon so you can compare the options.
@@alexmoquin9994 That's superb...at least your car is spacious all round..for some cars you have to add spacers as the doors lack enough space for bigger speakers
A list of 6x8s without including the Sony ES line is criminal.

@@BedjamRivera You are right. And I have indeed included speakers within different price ranges. Sony Es is out of budget for many people.

Kicker cs series are kinda bad

Most car doors will either fit a 6 and 1/2 in a x a 5x7 or a 6x8. 6x9s tend to be the rear speakers.
@audiorevamp ah okay, I got 6x9s all the way around with a stock 10 in my journey, haha, guess manufacturers are cheating yall
