Sogod Bay's Coral Haven

The main objective with this Apr 2024 trip to Sogod Bay in Southern Leyte, Philippines, was to swim with Whale Sharks (see • Swimming with Whale Sh... ), and we were not expecting the dives in other parts of Sogod Bay to be as nice as they were.
What we found was sizeable reefs covered with healthy, beautiful soft & hard corals, and for a moment it even reminded us of our 2019 visit to Raja Ampat. This was a positive surprise, on top of the already satisfying swimming with Whale Sharks.
We only did 2 days of diving, and this footage is the result of those 6 dives at the following dive sites:
Napantao North Wall
Napantao South Wall
Medicare North
Medicare South
Olly's Wall
Jun's Pinnacle (only shallow dive, due to OW in the group)

P.S. this is the first dive trip in which I - armed with a more suitable camera - seriously attempt to take underwater MACRO video. It's obvious I need to practice it much more.. 🤓
