Thanks for the coverage Colin and Congrats again for the 10K subscribers!! I knew what was coming. We've done many roller coaster races in the past but 1000 riders add even more intensity. We started with a 4 minutes of hell right off the start. I was in 150th position or so, which really made me think this was going to be a long battle. Being a midpack rider has its advantages, you always have a big group to work with. Downhills were a relief but oh boy those short kickers in the middle, one after another, they all took some bite. Meantime slowly slowly I was moving up, eventually I teamed up with Silvia and she was on our GRC voice chat. We started to coordinate efforts together as we approached the finish. Caught couple more riders along the way, now a top 100 finish was within reach. I went out for a long sprint with whatever I had left in the tank, couldn't hit the big numbers I'd like but just enough to get me in #99. Another Big Rouvy Race in the books. See you folks in January hopefully.
Thanks Basak. Big race with right around 1000 finishers. Hard to get everyone in the video. I did notice a huge improvement in the disconnects by riders. Seemed to be far less than the first event
@@insidecyclingworld about half the size of first Big Race. Who knows more climbing may have played a role. Nevertheless Rouvy doing well so far this year if we are discussing another +1000 rider race.
See Charelle was not included in the results. All the other riders around her were recorded. Perhaps she was 'Just riding' and not participating, But a good shout out for finishing👋
Had to get some one to check for me but looks like she finished in 985th. Went from a Level 1 to Level 3 Rider. Checked the video too, crossed the line
Do you have a event calender posted some place? I'm finding Rouvy website difficult to navigate and vauge. The standard challenge routes are becoming less enjoyable then a training spin as you can't really interact besides sticking your avatars butt in another face. Wednesday Hill climb🤔
Hey thanks for commenting. This event was the ROUVY Big Race, we usually run the Sunday Short Race during this time slot. I also help lead a social group ride on Tues/Thursdays(600pm EST) . In the past I ran a Saturday Long Ride/Race, that has been on hiatus for a bit. What time zone are you in and what are you looking for? Join the Discord channels(links above) if you want to find others riding.
Great job working your way through the pack, trying to catch people. It's an overwhelming amount of racers!
Thank you Anthony, fun to go all the familiar and new names. Cheer on the new riders
Great coverage again Colin, thanks for all your efforts. (StephenScotsman)
Thanks Stephen, huge event think we will have 1000 finishers. Thanks for commenting
Great coverage Colin! Tough race!
Hey Dustin, so many strong riders up front, great job up there.
Great coverage of the ride today. So many people; you did a fantastic job working through the field.
Thanks Jesse, trying to cover all the riders and keep an eye on all the races within the race

Finished @24th - Antaro 👌😉
Awesome!! Strong ride up front with the hitters
“Looking for Gils….”
Gils finished just ahead of me and Brian. I just couldn’t keep up on the climbs today.
Ha yeah it was hard to find people in that huge group. I knew he had to be there!
Colin (Fart) in Danish means SPEED 😂
Ha I have a lot of SPEED!
