Value Village prices are getting RIDICULOUS. It used to be my favourite place to shop.
Same in Australia. 😑 also, I've been living in Canada for most of a year now, and I swear they just raised prices significantly at a local Salvation Army too... Y tho 😢

That pink skirt is gorgeous!!! Such a good find, I love seeing these videos even when you don’t buy a lot. I feel that those trendy you tubers that go thrifting and get a lot of stuff every time are missing the point of why thrifting is sustainable.

I like to look around the thrift stores, doesn't matter in person or through someone's eyes and a camera. Even if you don't get anything, I'm interested!
I feel the same way. Some days it motivates me to get out there and see what I can find. Other days, I enjoy being under a cuddly blanket, just watching others thrift. Totally depends on my mood and time allotment. 😁

I agree. It made me want to go thrifting when I saw the off-white lace sleeve blouse with the ruching down the front. That was the blouse where she said she liked the sleeves but didn't like the rest of it. I also liked hearing her thought processes as she went through dress after dress. It really gives inspiration to us viewers.

Yes I do love smaller thrift hauls also. I’d rather see stuff you love and seeing you hunt for treasure than just getting a bunch of things that are so so. I love that patch work skirt pink sweater And polka dot skirt also. The bowls are really cute too.
I love everything you post but definitely more vlogs. Even if you think they’re boring, I think it ties back into your “let’s chat” video where you express wanting to feel that connection with your audience again and not wanting to shut us out. I personally don’t watch many yourubers, but when my top 2 (one including you) post a vlog I am LIVING!
I really enjoy thrift with me videos, no matter how big the haul ends up being. I'm at the point in my life where I am very selective in what I bring home, but I still love getting into the stores to see what's available. It's crazy to buy stuff just for the sake of a video, and then like you said have to turn around and re-donate it (or worse...hoard it) because you didn't have a use for it in the first place. Also, I noticed that your backdrop keeps changing, and I really like that. I like your decor and I enjoy seeing different ways you choose to arrange things. Keep doing what you're doing! :)
Put some plants on the shelves behind you!!!!! Great lighting and an array of colors to pick from as far as the plants go!!!

I love that you actually show other things in the thrift stores and walk around, mainly because here in Poland such stores are much smaller and filled 90% with fast fashion brands
and there are no books, dishes, or any home supplies at all

I don't understand how Value Village can charge the prices it does. They get donations for free.. why gouge the people? It gets ridiculous.

Yes, more thrift hunts! I'm in Canada too, and Value Village DID go up in prices these past few years... The problem I think is that the employees pricing things don't really know what's what. I saw some Ardenes flats, Aco brand, for like 10$ at those thrift stores, when they go for like 3-4$ TAX IN at the Ardenes warehouse... I suspect they don't even cost 10$ brand new in the boutiques! But then, I'll find in the same store a beautiful antique handcarved wood plate for my "basket wall" for 4$...!

Just a suggestion if you like the design on something but not the color you can buy a color remover by RIT and it will give you the look you're looking for! it is really easy and works VERY fast.

It is actually so fun to watch you wanting to add more pink on your closet now, A few months ago you were like "Pink is not my color anymore " and you was even taking things in that color off... it's cool to see how our preferences change all the time, based on specific moments of our lifes....

Girl, it's not just Canada! Thrift stores, especially Savers/Value Village, are getting ridiculous. Thrifting ebbs and flows as a "trend," but I'm really hoping people start supporting smaller, local thrift shops more so the chains start to realize their pricing sucks for things they get for free. Also, those bowls are kickass. :)

Thrifting content is good for your store. People will comment and say I loved the beautiful leopard jacket (me). It’ll help to add things that your viewers will be interested in purchasing. I agree with you. It’s better to have a few things than doing a giant haul and then redonating . I see that a lot from other UA-camrs.

I enjoy watching thrifting videos - not quite sure why, but I do. I guess part of it is that I get happy when I see someone get a really good deal on something the love.
I go thrifting sometimes love it but in the economy today thrifting can b more expensive then cheap but nice Walmart clearance I’m a mother of four so being frugal with money is so important but if I thrift I try to get things I can use or wear multiple ways to make it worth it love all your hauls
American thrift prices are going up too ! I am a reseller so it really stinks that their prices are getting out of control. I will only pice up things that will be a good resale profit or that are on sale ! Loved the outfits you put together !that sweater looked really cut on you !

I really love your style! I loved the first outfit you had on with the sweater over the dress. It looked so pretty on you. Lately, I am shocked by the high prices at Value Village and other thrift stores like Goodwill and worry that they raise prices because thrifting is such a major trend for women to now do. I have been going to Salvation Army slightly more now and enjoying their 50% off days because Goodwill has gone up in price too I feel. I love your channel!

I agree that’s an amazing skirt but I’m wondering why you couldn’t wear it with a warm yellow? A cool color can pair with a warm version of a complimentary color. Besides if you always wear similar colors then you do something wildly different you may find you get a lot of attention. I guess I’m saying I’d never give up that skirt. I’d make it work. Try a warm white !

There are a few thrift heavy channels I watch where it seems like they thrift a large amount of stuff often/ every time they go.
It seems they never use or wear most of it and end up re-donating it shortly after. What's the point of that? 🤷😃

I have re-watched this video again as I’m doing all of yours during this COVID 19 period. I do enjoy watching you for the hunt and how you show different items from decor to clothes. I am in agreement that you don’t need to buy a ton of clothes and stuff just so you can shoot a video, it is a waste. I have been watching other thrifting videos and I can’t understand how they can go thrifting and bring home all those clothes, one you tuber does one thrift per week, no way can she wear all that. I respect you so much for having sense , I totally love your thrift video so keep on doing them ( after COVID of course), but as long as you show interesting items, you don’t need to buy them just to make a video, I will enjoy it anyway! Can you tell us what towns your thrift stores are in though?
