I enjoyed listening to this interview and agree that Bivol is a great role model for the sport of boxing. He is the perfect gentleman who doesn't believe in trash talking, making excuses or crying over spilt milk. He is well-grounded and accepts both wins and losses with the same healthy attitude. He strikes me as a deep thinker and philosopher, if you ask me. I wish him well in the future.

Beterbiev tried to apply pressure, but Bivol was like a toreador-slipping out of the pressure with double punches and landing clean punches to Beterbiev every time! There’s no question, Bivol won this fight 7 to 5 rounds easily. Even Artur knew and understood he lost before the official announcement-just look at his face before Kadyrov ran into the ring and whispered something to him. After that, Beterbiev started smiling… because he already knew what was coming. How did he know before the official result was read? It’s obvious something shady went down behind the scenes. Kadyrov or somebody probably had a hand in buying the judges’ decision, because there’s no way that scorecard reflects what we saw in the ring. It’s disappointing beyond words to see money and politics taint boxing at this level. Beterbiev did what he could, he did a lot of pressure and I respect all fighters-they are warriors-but this decision? Absolutely corrupt. Bivol is the clear champion in my eyes and in the eyes of real boxing fans. This kind of robbery is what’s ruining the sport, and it’s time to demand accountability!

I want to make this clear to the boxing fans. I’ve watched everyone of Bivols post fight interviews and he keeps saying the reason he lost was he wasn’t throwing enough when he was being walked down because of leaving himself open. So in the rematch he’s going to think he needs to throw more and he will giving him a much higher percentage of getting knocked out then this first fight. More then likely Beterbiev will be able to train correctly in camp and be better prepared and at the same time Bivol and team working on throwing more will lead to Bivol getting stopped in rematch! I lost $2,500 on beterbiev winning on points where I had it on KO. But I will re-bet the same amount on him to get the KO if rematch happens. Bivol fought his perfect fight and I don’t believe there is another level to him while I know the knee surgery had some decent negative impacts on beterbiev’s performance!

They both had belts both champions it should have been a draw smh especially for undisputed title just how bivol feels I’m sure Arthur is feeling same way about it he is a humble man he knows it wasn’t unanimous and is controversial
I see that boxing is becoming WWEish, it's not the factual things that you see but more like how you act and sell the fight. Bivol landed little bit more overall, but he sold it badly, as he was fighting on the backfoot whole fight and beterbiev was putting pressure all 12 rounds. Bivol's punches were cleaner and crispier, beterbiev landed just handful of clean punches, all other were either blocked or barely did damage to Bivol, however, even good clean strong punches looked not that good from Bivol, as beterbiev was quite unfazed by them. Bivol had to move backwards and play safe while it is not his style of boxing and I think it also made impact on judges. That's why I think judges were sold more on presentation of the fight rather than actual facts.

It didn't convince me enough in terms of momentum but turned it into a 50/50. In terms of points, SGL won it.

Bivol's body language showed that and eventually he chose to play way safer. Yeah, the only Bivol's weakness no punch power at all and yesterday we saw it, guy's brilliant boxer but he needs a lot of accumulative impact on opponent in order to get obvious victory.

He should've used it up in the last 3 rounds. Bivol has enough power in general. Against Beterbiev? Maybe not to seriously hurt him but cumulatively, yes. Just my opinion. Let's also remember that Beterbiev is a weight class bully who went the opposite direction than Usyk, from cruiserweight. But we agree he had to play for optics at the end which he didn't. The fact he barely tried leaves unanswered questions. If the fight had gone to 15, the momentum would've shifted again and I think he would've won 2 out of the last 3 rounds. Beterbiev was giving it his all, Bivol not. It was a fair decision for Beterbiev. Bivol's footwork not even close to SGL's? Perhaps, but the dynamic in SGL v Hagler was the exact same as this one. It looked as if Hagler was gaining momentum and he was going for the ko at the end while SGL was ahead on points. SGL was backfooted but inserted sudden bursts of aggression which showed he was not close to being finished. I believe Bivol also was not close to being dropped had it gone to 15. It just looked bad for him at the end. He needed to throw punches even if not precise, for optics.

Both boxers were attentive to their opponent's punches, as they realized that missing one accentuated punch could lead to a knockout. Beterbiev after the first three rounds of the attempt to work on technique began to press, throwing out his powerful punches. However, he was unable to lock onto Bivol and knock him out as he had done with all of his previous opponents. Bivol was constantly shifting Biterbiev's aim, defending with his block and shifting from side to side, preventing him from landing a series of knockout punches. The center of the ring remained behind Biterbiev most of the time. In this fight we did not see the famous element of movement from the Soviet style of boxing - shuttle kick, performed by Dmitry Bivol. The use of the shuttle is suitable in amateur boxing, where 3 rounds, as well as in work with a boxer-player or slow-moving opponent. Bivol used the defense with a block and a trip takedown to the side. Countered Beterbiev with counter power work. We didn't see any spurts of concussive strikes from Beterbiev in this fight. We can discuss a lot about who won this fight. I will say that the fight was very competitive. Both opponents were strong both physically and technically. Nobody fell in the ring. We all saw this exciting fight. Beterbiev showed that he has the right to be the winner, and Bivol proved that he is unbeatable. Before the fight I gave 30% that Beterbiev would win by knockout and 70% that Bivol would win on points. The result of the fight surprised me - Beterbiev won a judges' decision for the first time in his professional career. I was also surprised by Bivol's hard power style of fighting, which started to take shape since his fight with Canelo Saul Alvarez. Bivol's feet became more stocky, minimal use of the shuttle. Dmitry Bivol proved himself in exchanging hard punches with Beterbiev. We saw the athletic power of the athletes. I think everyone will learn a lesson from this fight. Personally, I was once again convinced that cardio and physical endurance are an important component for a boxer. Recently I have added to my training the recommendations from the practical manual “400 Boxing Combinations” by Yuriy Ivantsiv. This manual contains training schemes, how to develop stamina, physical strength, to work out skills of close combat, middle and long distance fighting, to work out a knockout punch and a series of power punches in non-stop mode through practicing boxing combinations. Every time I finish practicing 10 rounds on the bag, I realize that these are the unforgettable sensations I was missing in the training process. As a result - my endurance has improved, during sparring I don't have a fleeting confusion about which series of punches to throw. I understand what blows my sparring partner is going to deliver, so I have time to defend and counterattack. After a month of training on the methodology “400 Boxing Combinations” I managed to diversify my combinatorial punching technique. Yes I said same thing, but Beterbiev underperformed, was taking too long in the fight and in the rounds to let his hands go, was unlike him, looked sapped of energy from beginning. I expect the long concert wait didn't help.

I enjoyed listening to this interview and agree that Bivol is a great role model for the sport of boxing. He is the perfect gentleman who doesn't believe in trash talking, making excuses or crying over spilt milk. He is well-grounded and accepts both wins and losses with the same healthy attitude. He strikes me as a deep thinker and philosopher, if you ask me. I wish him well in the future.

Beterbiev tried to apply pressure, but Bivol was like a toreador-slipping out of the pressure with double punches and landing clean punches to Beterbiev every time! There’s no question, Bivol won this fight 7 to 5 rounds easily. Even Artur knew and understood he lost before the official announcement-just look at his face before Kadyrov ran into the ring and whispered something to him. After that, Beterbiev started smiling… because he already knew what was coming. How did he know before the official result was read? It’s obvious something shady went down behind the scenes.
Kadyrov or somebody probably had a hand in buying the judges’ decision, because there’s no way that scorecard reflects what we saw in the ring. It’s disappointing beyond words to see money and politics taint boxing at this level. Beterbiev did what he could, he did a lot of pressure and I respect all fighters-they are warriors-but this decision? Absolutely corrupt.

I want to make this clear to the boxing fans. I’ve watched everyone of Bivols post fight interviews and he keeps saying the reason he lost was he wasn’t throwing enough when he was being walked down because of leaving himself open. So in the rematch he’s going to think he needs to throw more and he will giving him a much higher percentage of getting knocked out then this first fight. More then likely Beterbiev will be able to train correctly in camp and be better prepared and at the same time Bivol and team working on throwing more will lead to Bivol getting stopped in rematch! I lost $2,500 on beterbiev winning on points where I had it on KO. But I will re-bet the same amount on him to get the KO if rematch happens. Bivol fought his perfect fight and I don’t believe there is another level to him while I know the knee surgery had some decent negative impacts on beterbiev’s performance!

I see that boxing is becoming WWEish, it's not the factual things that you see but more like how you act and sell the fight. Bivol landed little bit more overall, but he sold it badly, as he was fighting on the backfoot whole fight and beterbiev was putting pressure all 12 rounds. Bivol's punches were cleaner and crispier, beterbiev landed just handful of clean punches, all other were either blocked or barely did damage to Bivol, however, even good clean strong punches looked not that good from Bivol, as beterbiev was quite unfazed by them. Bivol had to move backwards and play safe while it is not his style of boxing and I think it also made impact on judges. That's why I think judges were sold more on presentation of the fight rather than actual facts.
Facts bivol landed alot of clean sharp combos the whole fight. Those judges are blind as fuck. Listen man if they rule bivol a lost, then they should take away most of Floyds wins. Too much double standards in boxing

It didn't convince me enough in terms of momentum but turned it into a 50/50. In terms of points, SGL won it.

Secondly, talking about yesterday's bout, Bivol seemed to be really devastated by making really small impact with clean crispy punches as it didn't even snap beterbiev's head or somehow bewildered him at any given moment. Bivol's body language showed that and eventually he chose to play way safer. Yeah, the only Bivol's weakness no punch power at all and yesterday we saw it, guy's brilliant boxer but he needs a lot of accumulative impact on opponent in order to get obvious victory.

He should've used it up in the last 3 rounds. Bivol has enough power in general. Against Beterbiev? Maybe not to seriously hurt him but cumulatively, yes. Just my opinion. Let's also remember that Beterbiev is a weight class bully who went the opposite direction than Usyk, from cruiserweight.
But we agree he had to play for optics at the end which he didn't. The fact he barely tried leaves unanswered questions. If the fight had gone to 15, the momentum would've shifted again and I think he would've won 2 out of the last 3 rounds. Beterbiev was giving it his all, Bivol not. It was a fair decision for Beterbiev.
Bivol's footwork not even close to SGL's? Perhaps, but the dynamic in SGL v Hagler was the exact same as this one. It looked as if Hagler was gaining momentum and he was going for the ko at the end while SGL was ahead on points. SGL was backfooted but inserted sudden bursts of aggression which showed he was not close to being finished. I believe Bivol also was not close to being dropped had it gone to 15. It just looked bad for him at the end. He needed to throw punches even if not precise, for optics.

In this fight we did not see the famous element of movement from the Soviet style of boxing - shuttle kick, performed by Dmitry Bivol. I understand what blows my sparring partner is going to deliver, so I have time to defend and counterattack. After a month of training on the methodology “400 Boxing Combinations” I managed to diversify my combinatorial punching technique. Yes I said same thing, but Beterbiev underperformed, was taking too long in the fight and in the rounds to let his hands go, was unlike him, looked sapped of energy from beginning. I expect the long concert wait didn't help.

I personally scored the fight dead even. Artur was never hurt. Constant pressure. Bivol was hurt once but not bad. And Bivol landed the cleaner shots. But I'm honestly thought it was a draw. Especially since they were both undefeated champions, neither man was in serious trouble and the punch stats were very close
