I just found out about James Ranch through the "To which we belong" flim which I just started watching! I was amazed by the layered enterprises that are being managed by the family members there! This is what true family food sovereignty is about. I am doing a PhD in Agroecology in Denmark and writing about restoring power in the food system and maximizing it for the farmers and communities, counteracting the centralized, industrial tech-heavy, proprietary model of agri-food production. And this case is an inspiring example for a real-life and workable model 💪👏🌀

I worked there in the late 80’s. It was much different then, but gorgeous and fine family.
