I Just Received my CSX AC44CW YN2 Unit in N Scale. Already Very impressed. Also Awesome horn Options for those units. I constantly see the UP variation in my town. Its probably the only locomotive that still is widely used on the UP that was used in 2007. And they are rebuilding them for another life. I just saw the CNW 8804 or UP 6706 which is the last CNW AC44CW.
Received my SP and CSX YN2 units. All look terrific! As a child of the 90s I vividly remember several family trips to Colorado where my father made a point of taking us to Tennessee Pass since he knew the closure was near. During 1996 and 97 these new AC motors were pretty much all you saw on that portion of the line until UP yellow AC’s started getting peppered in.
That's fantastic to hear about your SP and CSX YN2 units, and it's even more special knowing the personal connection you have with these locomotives. Your memories of family trips to Colorado and Tennessee Pass during the late '90s sound like cherished moments. It must have been quite a sight to witness those new AC motors dominating the line, and I can imagine the excitement of seeing the UP yellow AC's gradually making their appearance as well. Thanks for sharing this nostalgic glimpse into your railroading experiences! -Drayton
@@Scaletrains thanks Drayton. Love your DIB UA-cam channel, keep up the great work with the videos and livestreams! I catch them as often as I can, you all are an entertaining bunch :)
I wish they would build Southern railway locomotives. I am a deaf disabled veteran who run DC without sound because my hearing aids have a range of ten feet.
Beautiful Locomotives I had the opportunity to see them at the convention in Mexico. I am waiting to receive the one I bought from FerroSur these days. scaletrains I hope more models of Mexican Lines! Greetings from CDMX. Hermosas Locomotoras tuve la oportunidad de verlas en la convencion en Mexico. Estoy en espera de recibir la que compre de FerroSur en estos días. scaletrains espero mas modelos de Lineas Mexicanas ! A variant of the ac4400 is the C60ac-6000 hp monster. I know not all railroads had them, mainly UP/CSX. I would like to see a production run on them…that would be cool !🇺🇸
By far the best models out here. Will the UP ones with the Winged Shield come on the next run? Need more modern tankers especially the colored band cars. Trinity's 5850 (no end cut outs) and 6241 capacity plastic pellet covered hoppers got to be next.
Scaletrains....... will you be offering, the detail part of the window rock guards? As separate items, that can be purchased or are there any detail suppliers that offer them?
Cool video. When is Scale Trains going to produce modern EMD locomotives in the likes of SD60, SD60M, SD70, SD70M, SD70ACe, SD80MAC, SD9043MAC and SD90MAC-H locomotives?
@@Scaletrains Thanks for your reply but your competitors are also producing locomotives you're manufacturing, like EMD SD40-2, GP30, SD38-2, SD45 GE Dash 9, AC4400CW, GEVOs and GE Turbines 8500s... i have two scaletrains es44ac , nice detail, however, they both run erratically when the tracks or the wheels are just a little dirty , but my other engines dont have this problem running on the same track, kinda disappointing, i hope these ac4400cw wont have these issues
Got mine, SP 350 with sound. Grab iron missing from top of right side of plow. Beautiful model but quality control should be better for the cost of this model. I will send it back hopefully without hassel.
Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this issue to our attention. YOU ALL COULD REALLY SELL A LOT OF THESE MODELS IF YOU WOULD LOWER YOUR PRICES DOWN TO WHERE WE MODELERS COULD AFFORD TO BUY THEM!JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER MANUFACTURERS, YOUR PRICES ARE WAY TOO HIGH FOR ANY OF US TO AFFORD TO BUY THEM. You can outsell your competitors by selling them at a much lower price than you would at a higher price. The lower price you sell them at, the more engines you will sell

We constantly evaluate our pricing structure to find ways to make our products more accessible to a wider range of modelers. Our goal is to strike a balance between offering top-notch quality and ensuring affordability. We appreciate your suggestion of potentially lowering our prices to increase sales volume, and we take such feedback into consideration as we plan for the future. At the same time, we also aim to maintain the high standards that our customers expect from us. Please feel free to stay tuned for any promotions or special offers we may have in the future, as we occasionally run sales events that can provide more budget-friendly options. We value your support and input as we continue to serve the model train community. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our products and services. -Drayton
Buy the lower quality, less scale models if you don't like the price. Scale Trains sell out of all their products at the current price point, so don't you worry about that. Don't beat the company up because you can't afford a high quality sound equipped product. PS, They already sell "a lot of these models" at the very fair price they currently sell at. I'm also pretty sure they are aware of competive business practices. The market determines the prices, and Scale Trains are doing great, and will continue to.
