In my 50+ years of modeling this has to be the most entertaining model and flying ever. Can you imagine what the allies would’ve thought had the tripe actually been able to fly like this.
Seeing how good and responsive this 65% Fokker is, makes you wonder exactly what all could be done in a full sized one especially when there is someone behind you shooting at you!!!!! Another amazing airplane!!!!!
There comes a point where it stops being a "scale aircraft" and is then just an "aircraft". This is where that line in the sand should be drawn. Nice plane by the way
15 ft span.....36 inch tailplane. ...it flew...me in it: F1 CASSUTT IIIM....the Reno racers have wings down to 12 ft... I agree with this comment by Adrian: if you go to so much time, effort expense (I am aircraft engineer/restorer...owned 1934 Cessna & 1930's DH Puss Moth, DH82A & rebuilds of lots of wood: I KNOW how time - intensive this work is)...why not "go th extra" few %. There are now "model" Jungmeisters SAME SIZE as scaled, piloted home-builds....amazing ☺☺☺ ANYWAY...ALL good FUN ✈
Cool plane but I'm seeing these rc planes getting bigger and bigger which increases liability--what if there's a malfunction and the pilot loses control and a plane that big comes crashing down??
Well, just like flying turbines jets, you have to be " certificationed " to fly something this big. Not ev'ry one can pass the " Certifications process ", either. Just like ev'ry one that wants to fly " full scale " don't have a PPL., either.
somewhere ut there is a grumman G-164b that is this size. my freinds dad built it in his garage. took him three years and it had a weed eater motor on it. the hopper and spreader were functional and it could have applied londax to ten acres of rice.... love this stuff! nice vid.
Didn't notice that myself but yes...I would suspect so. It has a VERY light wing loading and even in a mild breeze requires a lot of skill to control it.
do not read this comment: I looked again the video and it is clear that the Lancaster is not a model. @@EssentialRC Wow Dom, really? then it was'nt a model?
what's the problem? were the planes in dogfights not aerobatics? the first characteristics of fighter planes were maneuverability and power ... exactly like for an acrobatic plane!
I was thinking cool see a old biplane in this scale fly around, like flying History. Like the bicycle with the 10ft tall front wheel! But oh no This thing should say REDBULL on the side! It put a sweet show on performance like it's the 2019 version
@@EssentialRC i ubderstand that but im not pilot or aro physist or engineer.i just assumed the prop has to jave sone length past the nose to push air paat the body n that looks so small like theres very lil sticking past the body diameter if u know what im trying to say. Im a drine person. An my uncle is abig rc plane guy but i have never flown a planem except a dual ducred f18 jet twin 70 mm motors. N that flew about 100 ft maybe an flipped ober n smashed in to the run way lmao now it makes great floatie chunks or the kids in the pool n lake when we go. Who ever thouse a dual use jey was made lmao.
@@EssentialRC i commented tbat before watching the video. The plane has pretty good power with it actually. But would it climb jugher with out the stall so fast if has a bigger prop at all ? Or wouls any size bigger be too much for it. . I do know what you're saying though about size compared to the motor because my drone has dual blade props and I purchase them three bladed carbon fiber props that were a lot bigger and it doesn't like him at all they're too much for it even though there lighter
Are any of these RC people actual 'pilots'? Do they fly real aircraft? Because the money they spend on these toys they could easily get a pilots license for sure and really experience the joy of flight...I don't think you should refer to them as 'pilots' if they aren't real pilots. (sort of like how Americans call chiropractors 'Doctors' when they really aren't M.D.'s..also Dentist!) ..rather just call them 'RC controllers'....and yes I am a qualified flight instructor on fiberglass sailplanes. A person earns the title of 'pilot'...not just because they can fly an RC 'model aircraft' over a paddock. Still, kudos to the builder because that is a nice copy model aircraft of the original.

Another brilliant video thanks essential RC
The DR1 is one of my favorite aircraft. This model is awesome. I love the pilot...

Wow, this was impressive. Great flying and great camera work 👍
The best Rc video I've ever seen. Compliments! Impressive all.
Wow, thanks!

Beuatifully constructed and amazing flying control !
Hats off to the pilot, that was one hell of an impressive bit of stunt flying. Great plane too.
beautifully constructed and fantastic flying controle !

Crazy!! Beautiful build.
Very nice stall turns!
Irgendwie kein Modell mehr. Aber tolle Leistung Bau- als auch Flugtechnisch...👍
Legend has it that the guy is still trying to start that engine
That is a beautiful plane. Looks bigger than most ultralight fliers.
Super
Really nice flying and filming.
Need to strap a go pro camera to the plane. That footage wold be AWESOME!
You could fly Snoopy, the pet beagle of Charlie Brown
Incredible, as a former Air Defense gunner in the Army if I saw that thing it'd probably freak me out so bad I'd start shooting at it.
Awesome plane!! Good work!!
There is an actual plane that is smaller than this. I believe it’s called a Stits.
Cool plane but I'm seeing these rc planes getting bigger and bigger which increases liability--what if there's a malfunction and the pilot loses control and a plane that big comes crashing down??

engine definitely sounds better in slo mo!

I've just noticed the elevators work in unison but also independently of each other, helps with turns?
Didn't notice that myself but yes...I would suspect so. It has a VERY light wing loading and even in a mild breeze requires a lot of skill to control it.
Woooow Amazing RC Plane
Man that's insane
Great flight. And did they "stop the pigeon" this time? ;-)
Pretty gosh darn cool. 😁👍
I live close to East Kirkby
My cat would like to fly in that. I asked him and he said "meow". That means yes in this instance.
they would be able to have a dog fight then.
Most excellent!
What the hell is the motor.
From a Messerschmitt - Cabin - Roller ! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This plane has got some serious 3d thrust vectoring
You could give a small kid the ride of his life.
这是无人机还是航空模型啊😂🤣
Just put an electric starter on the damned thing! 😀
as a minimum it would take as in formula 1 applicable at the time of ignition!
The original plane was hand propped
Just use a cordless drill
Beautiful
Pretty neat...
Fantástico 🤔💚🐸
Renato & Floquinho 🐸🇧🇷 Brasil
😮😲😮😀😮😮😊😳😊😊😊😀 Wow That’s The Coolest RC Plane I’ve Seen 😀😀😀
Super fokker Nice video
Amazing
I've noticed on those large planes a quite a few when they land, turn and fhe wing tips on the ground almost spinning out ,looks not good
Amazing.
Which component that you could not change the size of drove you to 65% scale? I’m guessing ... THE ENGINE?????
nice in 4K
Would love to have and fly something like that. I guess it is ok to dream. Lol
DER RED BARON WOULD BE PROUD OF YOU!!!!! YAHVOEL !!!
VERY GOOD BRASIL OK.
Awesome-
No way is that the world's largest RC aircraft....that Lancaster in the background looks almost full sized!!
Is full sized actually...
do not read this comment: I looked again the video and it is clear that the Lancaster is not a model.
@@EssentialRC Wow Dom, really? then it was'nt a model?
Hey dude, why's your right arm so big?
You flew her well. All these Triplanes seem to be unwieldy on landing.
Wtf ?! An aerobatic Fokker Dr.1 !!!😆😃
what's the problem? were the planes in dogfights not aerobatics? the first characteristics of fighter planes were maneuverability and power ... exactly like for an acrobatic plane!
You know considering the size these gasers get to its a wonder why at no stage remote starters are ever used
nice!!! Who paid for this?
Eh, the owner and pilot.
Awesome
One had has wonder if an rc pilot is better than an actual pilot. How affective wound it be to man a plane controlled by an rc controller?
Chapeau!!!faut être pilote pour faire voler ce modèle presque vrai!!!
Just get in it!
Just about reached back into that prop didn't ya....
Is that a titanium lawnmower engine
Thats one big fokker
Красавчик!!!!!!!👍👍👍✌
Kool plane, get an electric start on it, I'm sure the wings can hold the extra 7 pounds!
He flys all his biplanes 3D style....I would like to see some scale flight for a change!
...because that would be very interesting to watch!
If you want to fly like that get a pits
This should be flown scale like.
Simon Hurst I want to see him hover it no more than 3 inches off the ground. Then I will be impressed.
Johnathan Berner
Me too!

Hardly a serious scale model. The finish is anything but correct. For that reason, I would put Snoopy in as the pilot.
Adrian Larkins: Snoopy dreamed of being on his Sopwith Camel!
WOW i got to get that for my Grand son before he gets too big to fit .
Existe um êrro na distância entre as rodas, que deveria ser maior.🇧🇷
Tight loops!!!
A Kawasaki Z1 engine in her would be sweet hey?
Will it carry small children?
Yes probably but you would definitely get locked up if you took a small child up in a RC plane and they key would get thrown away !
Watch out for stowaway "Red Barons"!
Took longer to get it started than to fly it.
Flys like a barn door
Just like the real one.
I'd like to see Bad Santa get straffed by his elve.
Does he need a FAA drone pilot license for this thing
"...can't help but wonder what the lift capacity is for this RC AC? I mean, at 65% scale, could a actual person fly in it?" DM
I've been wondering myself.
I was going to get one of those until I found out the machine guns don't work.
Dad jokes? Really?
"That's---in---credible!......."
A little bit bigger and you could ride on it !
Hey Jimmie. Sit right here and hold on!
Lost for words.
And that can only be a good thing. LOL. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Go one more step and your full size.
It took like 50 feet to get off the ground...
and maybe less to land !!! Wonderful!
So what your saying is I can put a 4 year old in it.
Come on you were 65% of the way to a real DR1 you could fly in!
Is it me or does that propeller look awful small for that plane
It's more about what is best for the engine than what it looks like. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

I think it needs one more wing though. 😜
Sorry but this is not Scale. Too much Power and unreal Flight Figures for a Fokker DR
That propeller looks to small.

50 bucks more and you could have bought a real plane.
That's ridiculous, just fly a real one
You could put a cat in that thing
I can't believe it doesn't have retractable landing gear?
That plane didn’t have retractable landing gear.
Dennis Morris WOULD NOT BE SCALE DENNIS. THEY DID NOT HAVE RETRACTABLE GEAR ON THOSE PLANES
Needs a electric starter
