I think techno should be made into a myth in season 2 where most people don’t believe that someone that powerful actually existed. Think of it like Technoblade being King Arthur of Camelot and his “orphan obliterator” or “axe of peace” is Excalibur. Most people refuse to believe that someone this powerful was real but some like Phil, Niki and Ranboo do and create a different version of the syndicate who try to find Techno’s powerful weapons
Edit: I see people saying that this is disrespectful in a way towards techno and family. It's not seeing how techno himself was making jokes about his passing and how immediately after the announcement of his death, his merch store had "gg ez" merch. Which means he had already planned to release that as soon as his death
I love this idea! They can still honor his memory as a god of the new season, and it would fit in perfectly with everything else lore-wise, too.
He should be like a legend. And many people follow his goals of ending the government.

Maybe the Dream Smp can implement Technoblade as a legend in the story or maybe some sort of God. Honestly I thought they would maybe have his brother do the final bit of Techno's lore in Season 1. Hopefully they do implement Technoblade in Season 2

The Dream SMP will never be the same without Techno, and i found it through him. Legends never die, and hopefully he remains in the Dream SMP…even if it’s only as just that, a legend.

I'm going to be Honest Technoblade needs a Viking Funeral of sorts. Or he has like a Crypt full of his memories and History buried somewhere so someone else could become a "Disciple" of Technoblade to try and continue what he started. Not as a replacement more so a continuation since he may shout "Blood for the Blood God" but what if in Death he became a God. One for that mix of Anarcho-Justice we love to see from him.

I like the Viking funeral idea. It fits as well. Techno died in combat quite litterally, and was a fierce warrior on the battlefield, the allfather should really thing about recruiting him amongst the halls of Valhalla.

I like the idea of Techno being tho only thing everyone remembers from the old season 1 DSMP that he's the reason everyone comes back together and remembers each other as well as the memories they had together.
that's a cool head cannon, or like the reason everyone is alive is because Techno did the hero thing and used his power of never dying and like projected it onto them keeping them alive being a noble sacrifice kind of thing

I don't see it as forgetting technoblade, i see it as the start of a new story with new lore, i personally don't think its anything about forgetting techno, its just starting a new story.

Personal opinion, why can't they be protected by being in the End? It's a dimension seperate from everything, guarded by a Goddess of death. Personally I'd have it so in the new series after a good while, Tommy and a group find the portal, figure out how to open it and travel inside to find a castle or something where they meet Phil and Nikki. They then can keep their memories and past with Techno and experience new relationships and interactions with the reset cast. This would allow for Techno to live on in them, show the power of c!Kristin as a Goddess and provide continuity between the two seasons. Maybe have new Tommy dislike Phil which hurts him, or have Dream be friendly towards Nikki while she heavily dislikes and distrusts him for his previous versions actions. It would provide great character and story opportunities while preserving some previous connections. Maybe that's just me being stupid though 😅

Throwing out some ideas on how Phil could still remember Techno:
He could of somehow survived the Nuke and lived for a while in the wasteland until the goddess of death arrives, she gives Philza the chance to move on to season 2, losing his memories but gaining three lives, he requests that he can still remember techno, and she agrees on the condition that Phil still has one life. Phil accepts and moves onto season 2, he doesn't remember much but he does remember a good friend he once had.

I feel like since Phil and Nikki survived, they could just come back to the dsmp and still have their memories.
Same with Wilbur would be an awesome thing for his character. He basically left the Server because he hurt too many people, but now that everyone is back an well, but nobody remembers any of it, it would be sort of like a true 2nd chance for him

his weapons should still exist and they should have sharp 6-7 to be more overpowered than others and to continue his legacy but in a more mythological way, the ppl getting his weapons should keep it secret but everyone on the server will think its a myth or rumors going around

I was thinking that they would forget everything about Dream SMP S1 but as the season goes on, they get random memories of incidents that happened in Dream SMP S1 and they would have to work together and piece together the previous season, discovering the legend of Techno.🐷

I'm sure they have thought about putting Techno as a legend or a myth in S2 but there must be a reason why they just have to completely forget about him. I don't even think its completely forgetting about him, it's just..moving on and starting over. There are some who might find it painful to be reminded of who they lost and imagine constantly mentioning about it over and over. It sure is distressing. I get why Techno is to be forgotten lore-wise, but I'm sure they'll never forget about him internally. It's also an act of respect to never involve his name to any roleplay or stories and better off that his name is only to be remembered and not used for entertainment, or gain popularity. I remember I was willing to discontinue my story that's involved with him in fear I would disrespect his fans or family for using his name for my content..it's like that. I understand why Phil and Niki had to leave, and I understand why Dream and others decidedly not to involve Techno in the S2 anymore. It's an act of respect, and have his legacy and name rest in peace, and it's an act of moving on from the past, and starting over.

Anything at all to do with Techno in Season 2 will be vetted by Techno's family. I think it would be nice to have Techno as some sort of mythical person from the past, as I have seen other comments here suggest. As long as any decisions made are made with respect to Techno's memory and his family, there isn't really any wrong decision

I completely understand. Techno was such a prominent part in their story and from what Ive heard from Nikki, he was just as good of a friend offline as he was online. It already hurts for them to have to pretend nothing has changed and continue acting like everythings fine. But when they are going to "forget" about Techno lorewise? Thats probably even more painful. Having to act like your late friend never existed, even for a story, is just way too much for them. Especially since Techno deserves to never be forgotten. I think they would feel like theyre betraying their friendship even if its only acting.
I like the idea of techno becoming a sort of old folk tale about a legendary god long ago in a different time as it means techno is still part of the lore and not forgotten.
Techno's house before it was expanded should become something of a ruined relic. Where the climate has warmed and a taiga forest blooms hiding the abandoned house away. Inside the chests should have stuff like incredibly vague books and some items like golden carrots for netherite scraps.
you’re asking them to relive moments with technoblade in the months following his death? maybe, just maybe, this isn’t about forgetting techno, it’s about giving the people that spent so much time around him time to heal without the constant reminder that their friend died
I want lore like this
Everyone into their new world because the goddess of death gave them choice to live in same chaotic world or in a new world
Ranboo chose the chaotic world and lives with Micheal happily and alone
All others chose new world
When they were being transported , the fragment of their old selves etched in their new selves and they remember some of it but doesn't quite know what it is , like this they can bring back technos memories in philza
Or they can choose that techno is sent to heaven because he is a god of death and was in the SMP to cleanse it and he succeeded it so he went to heaven , living peacefully without government
This is my opinion to make technos ending satisfying
I like that idea because it keeps things fresh and allows people to start over with original ideas while not having to continuously reference the sad past, but they still acknowledge the past and would explain why some people “click” when they meet (because they already knew each other)

I can't believe that the best aspects of the server are both meteorically and literally dead. It's fucking gut wrenching....
If techno would have been in season 2, he would sarcasticly vaguely refer to season 1 when events similar to season 1 play out... I miss techno
well who knows, maybe they'll just scrap the whole "amnesia plot" go back to the server and take another 6 months to rewrite a new story. all im saying is to keep an open mind when going into season 2 and not immediately hating it.

I think the story line should proceed like...
On entering the "new world" everyone loses their memories of lost comrades like techno, Phil(who won't be joining in beginning), etc. And later when Phil joins, he will help everyone with their lost memories but it would be hard cuz noone remembers Phil himself and won't trust him easily...
You should make a video on why everyone left the dream SMP. This was the first lore stream since ranboo died during the prison break.

I hope that theres this twist like maybe in the middle of the season where many people remember everything but the people who were in the prison at the time refuse to believe that tommy and dream were ever friends
with how Philza, Momza, Nikki, Conner, and Rosie ended in that stream I think lore wise it'd make sense that they still have their memories, they just need to escape the End
@KianKSG Another idea is that philza would have these dreams that were really just flashbacks of what technoblade did on the dream smp and then would start writing it in books and making a library and he would also start to have dreams about everybody else, And eventually it will all fit in like a puzzle and philza would write the whole story of season 1.
season 1 had been going on for soooo long and I rlly enjoyed it but in a way I think its good that everyone forgot their memories so that they have more options for new lore. or else they would have to continue to build lore based on the old one and eventually people would or have started to get bored of it.

I just hope they keep the like Phil, Wilbur and tommy as a family part of the server, as it led to some major reactions and causes of lore in the original smp.
Maybe there can be an abandoned library building in season 2 that has a book series called: The history of Technoblade. So the season 2 could be in the further future where Technoblade is a history icon and then when Phill finds the library he remembers Techno, but to everyone else it's just a legend so if Phill tries to tell anyone they think he's crazy because he says he remembers being Techno's friend. Or maybe there's like a secret tomb in the world somewhere that Phill randomly finds( sort of like when him and Techno found the stronghold on accident) and all of Techno's gear is in the tomb and his skull and crown laid next to each other

i mean all the "forgeting" was is probably to be able to not drag the old storyline anymore since they just simply werent doing it in like a year or longer. whih is 100% good move.

Theres so many ways they could implement him as a huge part in the story and I hope they do it. I dont watch the dream smp but I hope for everyone to see him as a cool part of the story
they could make it such that everyone on the DSMP slowly forgets that Techno exists, the only two who vaguely remember him are phil and niki
then they slowly learn about his disappearance and why people are forgetting him (it could be that an outer entity brought him to a life without pain or smth, but then techno requested that none of his friends shall remember him, to spare them from the pain or smth)

I feel like there should be kinda like an ancient structure or city that they will discover. That ancient city is like the remains of the old world and all of them would try to figure out what it was and maybe piece by piece remember who they were? Idk just a similar thought.
I know they are doing the Memory Wipe to do new lore, but hopefully they remember or learn of Technoblade
I made a comment on Tommy's finale about how I think they should have everybody slowly regain their memory over time in season 2 but you just gave me an idea. What if Technoblade is the thing that makes everybody remember what happened before the world reset?

I miss the old dream smp but not everything will and can stay the same i was like 9 when my brother introduced me to it now im 13 with being an artist i stayed in the fandom for long because the fandom is so fun the fact you could create headcanons with the characters and how the chaacters could feel like your own its like you fill in the pages to a book thats halfway finish
Thank you dream smp for the time even though i got many death threats for simply watching grown men play minecraft a lot of my friends have already left the fandom and i could feel it deteriorate a long time ago i wished me and my friends would have smth similar to talk about again
I think in the lore slowly over time they regain there memories + maybe Philza and the rest who jumped in to the portal are shielded from the reset
I haven't really been up with the lore of the Dream SMP, just because I wasn't always watching while lore came out, so I'm really behind, but, I think it would be interesting if a higher force decided that for fate reasons of sorts, made some characters forget everything because their current experiences wasn't how it was supposed to happen. I think it would be interesting if some characters kept their memories, to be a sort of teacher or guide.
Then, those characters could have deep thoughts about the character's pasts, and for characters who had conflicts, where one forgot while one remembered, the forgetter could try to be their friend, try to do great things with them, though the rememberer could think on how they are scared of them, or rather, wary of them, and have to try to overcome their fear.
Now, considering Technoblade, characters like Philza could remember everything, and teach characters things he learned from Techno, such as war strategy, accidently use catchphrases or lessons he learned himself, things like that.
If you just read my three paragraphs, congrats. Feel free to add on or give critizism or just generally talk about this comment. I'd prefer that over anything, really.
They really should make Techno a legend type thing, because after all legends never die.
What if Phil somehow kept his memory to spread the stories of techno and how government isn't the best idea to try to stop something before it happens

Somebody had suggested in another video (I don't remember their name) that they could make it so that Technoblade's legacy is still there in season 2 and he's remembered as an inactive deity (blood god) of sorts, like he's done with mortal life and returned to god form or something like that, like Dream XD somewhat. Never really does anything, but he's there.

They can do something like once upon a time thing like this is the start of season 2 with new lore nd new characters but season 1 could be a history for the season 2 to recall what Techno did what Dream and Tommy did smthing like that.

It's entirely possible for anyone not already confirmed to have been nuked to be saved from said nuke and remember.

If techno died a few months after this, it would be very sad but perfect, because they will probably get know him by then, Then they wouldn't forget about him.
Id love if there was a myth of the Blood God. Technoblade is a legend and Kristen took the evidence I.e the Orphan Obliterator and the Axe of Peace which maybe could be in a museum like Dreams in the old final stream. I would also love to see Carl be someone's horse in the next season. Also for the Syndicate base including Technos cabin become ruins in the North with all the evidence of the Blood God himself.

I actually wrote a full lore connecting technoblade's idea and it's great.
I know it wouldn't work but when i imagine it it's just a great story of season 2.

Instead of everyone forgetting maybe it can be like. They are all raised up in on a new village in a new universe. The village hero “techno blade” is a staple to the village and his actions will always be remembered.
That way he is still a hero and has a good light. Maybe even some people could have their characters idealize him.

theres a simple way to go around this. make it so technoblade is still part of the dreamsmp in season 2. its like what they did in empires where pearl didnt join season 2 but pixelriffs made her into a sunflower goddess. they could make technoblade into some sort of god thats highly mentioned by everyone and thats known by everyone but just doesnt show up or someone else could use his account though i highly doubt it. theres so much they could do to avoid forgetting technoblade
You know what could be the best idea? Building the season one technos house in season 2 and let technodad live there (aka join dream smp)

I can somewhat understand both sides here. It makes sense to want to preserve and honor the memory of their friend and want to include his memory into their adventures, but I can also understand that it would probably feel like they would be monetizing off Tachnoblade's death even by just mentioning him.
Kind of like what happened with Black Panther 2. Some fans felt like not recasting T'challa and just saying he died like the irl actor, Chadwick Boseman felt like Marvel/Disney monetized off the actors death.

I'd love to see Phil join hermitcraft or empires smp, we've seen what he can do build wise In his hard-core worlds and I think he could manage to keep up with those groups
