- The Japanese really are starting to regain momentum in the sports bike field after a few years resting on their laurels, sitting back and seeing which way the wind was going to blow. First, Yamaha gave us their new R1 and Kawasaki the astonishing H2. Now Kawasaki have upgraded their superbike and come up with this; the brand new ZX10R. From the outside it doesn't look all that different but under the skin it's another matter. Mat and Donovan assess it on road and track.

Just saw the new r6 and cbr 1000 rr. Just want to say this kawa looks the best 1000cc japanese bike today.
One of the last great looking bikes today. All the new cars and bikes does not have a character and solid assembly feeling at first look like the real machines like '80,90' and 2000years of make models .
the more weight the bikes loose the more weight Donavan puts on. So the power to weight ratio stays constant.
+jerryx2000 Yeah, sad to say this isn't really a big mans sport. If he really loves sport bikes, he should eat healthy.
XD. LoL. I don't know. Food tastes really good.
"The new ZX-10R looks identical to the last one" -- it's time for you to put on some glasses, *old man*.
+FPietros I did forget my glasses that day, it's true; but just look at the two bikes (new and old) next to each other in some of the shots towards the end of the piece.... Pretty similar, no? Most punters when we had it, walked straight past it without noticing that it was the updated model. That counts as being pretty similar to the last one, I'd wager.
+The Bike Show identical? no way. so many differences id pic the 2016 even in the dark
+FPietros For all intents and purposes they look virtually the same. Even Kawasaki pointed this out when interviewed.
He said it looks the same quite a few times. It's time to put your hearing aid in old man
The future is now, old man!
always loved the ZX10 👍
Focus of Kawasaki is technology on first than the appearance
u guys are awesome... good reviews always keeping up with whats new... always fair and never biased to any make.... love ur stuff.. thanks
Love how the camera hits the ground in the corner
What an epic machine. Only thing if your 6 feet tall the bike looks small almost like its little brother.
YES i love short intros, nicely done
Great specs on the new model......kawasaki did exactly the opposite with the crankshaft years ago on the zx12r. ..A1..A2 lighter B series right through to 2005... heavier unit ...they had their reasons back then!
nice review guys
From what i've head there are a lot of people that actually prefer the tokico callipers feel over the new brembos... I guess it is just a matter of preference.
Flash the ECU, fit a decat exhaust, and that rating will go from 4.5 to 5.
Well I'm a huge fan 💚💚💚😍👍🏻
6:04 the old one looks like the future bike to me. Can a very well tuned old ZedeX-10R be better than the new "stock" ZX-10R ?
I have a 2018 zx10r. One thing I hate from 0 to 9500 rpm it's gutless. ( Stock)
Compared to R1M and s1000rr what would you say R1M is impressive on canyons though ain't sure about zx10r
Awesome review, though I watched a lot of reviews of the new ninja and most pretty much say what you guys say, except one or two magazines, I guess it's a matter of preference or who helps who with those couple of ninja haters
Hello guys. So I asked this question on the homepage and as far as I know, there was no response to it. What I did ask, are you guys going to cover the PGM V8 2lt bike? I think it's one of those unique and rare bikes that make you go wow.
+Vengeful Rat Doubtful one will ever make its way to South Africa so not much chance we'll get to ride it. Even if one did come in, can you see the owner letting a bunch of journalists loose on it?
+The Bike Show Probably true but I'd love to see what that ting can do. Maybe you guys should do a little fund raiser to head ovet to the Aussies and have a look at the bike there.
anyone experience please tell how to choose between this 2k16 Zx10r or 2k16 R1 Yamaha ? thank a lot !
+Frank Tran Go and testride each of them and see which one fits you better, if you still cant decide based on feel then just go for the one that looks better to you. At the end of the day both bikes will be more than enough for the street, so it really comes down to feel and looks for most riders.
which helmet was that .. The guy with a white suit???
Great bike but I am not a fan of the styling. The trouble is Ducatis Panigale range looks so good nothing stands a chance when it comes to looks.
The wet weight is 206kg not dry in th elast spec shows 206 kg as dry
Why do most sports bike blind the other side of their Headlights why not use both?
angelo arevalo who knows but I’m sure there’s a reason because Everyone does it
What is the song at 4:07
Wow its 20kg hravier than my zx9 😮
I wanna see how it does around the track against the 2016 R1M and S1kRR
+afra33 I guess the RSV4 RF and the Panigale 1299S are too fast for your list...
Steve C
the 1299 and RSV are slower than R1M and RR
Incorrect. Both as fast and usually faster.
Steve C
i don't see any of them beating the zx
You're not very observant, then. Aprilia won World SuperStock last year, private Aprilia in 2nd in Australia nationals and Ducati has been doing very well. R1 is far from running away with SuperStock titles, and neither is the ZX10R. Don't look at WSBK for information on bikes you can buy - but if you really want to, Aprilia is the only one that will sell you one (RF-W W-SB or Misano) On the street, *all* the liter bikes are too fast to make use of except for short bursts.
Zeeee exxxxx 10
He}, Fantastic Vidho. crack tart What's happening.. !
fantastic review on a true superbike. no ballshit unlike mcn in the UK. if u wanna av a laugh whatch it and please give it thumbs down
they look nothing like each other
Torque is what gets you up to speed quickly not horsepower so just because its making the same horsepower doesnt mean its making the same torque, and no im not forgetting all the other lighter stuff they put on it and all that but still torque is the main factor so please start including that in your videos when reviewing a bike
EU spec
210hp, 113.5NM on 206Kg
it has more than enough torque for that weight imo.
+TrueDesireHD Never said it didn't have enough torque I was pointing out they kept pointing out it had the same horsepower but much better acceleration so I simply asked for them to get the difference between horsepower and torque that's all and thank you for telling me the torque I was looking for it and couldn't find it >w
+Jane Fox they listed it in the very end :)
but yes an overview from last to current model would be nice! :)
+TrueDesireHD Of course they did >.< maybe I should actually watch next time instead of having it as more background noise
Go GYM rider.
