Senators grill ERC over scarce power plant maintenance checks

- The Energy Regulatory Commission’s inadequate regular inspection of power plants could be blamed for the brownouts being experienced in some parts of the country.
During a Senate committee on energy hearing regarding the recent yellow and red alerts on the country’s electricity capacity, the ERC admits that it is only able to check power plants every two and a half years.

Dapat meron kopya ng maintainance schedule sa power generators galing mismo sa manufacturer ng power generator. Batay sa karanasan ko bilang powerhouse operation and maintainance supervisor sa airbase ay tuwing 15000 run hours ng genset top overhaul at pagabot ng 30000 run hours ay general overhaul. Every 1250 hours ay meron kami minor services para maiwasan ang matagal n breakdown.
Kaya nagka loko loko ang supply ng kuriente. Ang NPC pala ibininta at naging NGCP at binibili natin ang supply ng kuriente. Nagisa na naman tayo sa sariling mantika dahil sa mga

True. This is the fraction of what will happen if charter change will be approve. Because the government under cha cha will sell utilities to foreign entity and in return the new owner will profit from higher prices whom the filipino people will have to pay for. Just like National Grid Corporation of Philippines(NGCP) which was mainly controlled by chinese corporation. We the filipino people will suffer more and the pockets of those filipino corrupt politician who is in power will benefit. So a big NO to charter change. Shame
