i have to say that ben has said a vital thing about their life, they are actually not living poverty or hard life, they just want to heritage this lifestyle or get used to it happily. but western media always blablabla China about everything but not knowing the fact, we know what we want and what we like, not a concern from western countries!
This is why your channel is so underrated. You gave us an amazing and breathtaking insight in this rural and yet beautiful nomadic life. I really love Tibetan food and tried a lot, though yak butter and milk are not available here. Honestly I was surprised you immediately enjoyed yak milk since most people are first not used to real fresh milk and for sure the very fatty yak milk is often difficult to take for foreigners. The landscape is utterly a wonder and I am glad you decided to live with this kind family together for some days instead of just being 4 hours there. Thank you for this vlog, regards from Germany.
In any aspect, this film is definitely like a Discovery/National geography production. Execellent filming, editing, and of course hosting. Also I like your unbiased, objective comments on these nomadic people's lifestyle in the end. Whether these people choose to keep or stop the simple lifestyle should both be respected. Looking forward the coming videos. BTW, I can't believe you did not experience high altitude sickness.
Thank you very much! It was such an amazing area. We went somewhere else first which we will share in a few weeks so it probably helped us acclimatise.
Thank you Nico👏👏👏! Gansu is one of my favourite places in China, old, rural, traditional, diverse with Hui muslim and Tibetan villages, also fantastic Buddhist caves and archeological ruins both of Han Chinese heritage. 🙏🙏🙏
Jack is an excellent photographer and video film producer. He brought the contrasting scenery vividly in the picture. Thank you for showing us the region of China that is seldom filmed. Great job!
This is a super anthropological lesson for me, an 89 old woman with asthma all my life. My poor lungs will never adjust to that attitude. I am so very grateful to three of you. Your explanation is clear and precise. The shots are equally clear and precise. Every word and photo is easily absorbed by this old brain too. Absolutely educational and enjoyable ! Thank You all ! May God protect you always! 謝謝🙏!錢鏡澄敬上

beautiful drone shot 👍👍👍. nomadic life is probably vanishing all over the world, nomadic life is just too hard 😢😢😢. i can't go to Tibet due to old age and high blood pressure. but I certainly do plan to go to Gansu and Sichuan to see it for myself. it is the next best thing. love from Canada.
those parts of regions are accessible with needing of any special documents (TAR does need special documents for visit, because of bordering with india). so if you have cars, you can even drive there by yourself.
Wonderful video! I must say Ben really knows a lot about this part of China. I'm glad I have subed his channel long ago. I always quickly jump to his videos as soon as I'm notified. Glad you found Ben too. Great episode.
He really does! It was awesome to do this trip with him and learn so much. It really made the trip better. Yes his channel is a great resource for this area as well.
This is wonderful Nico and Jack!! Thank you for sharing with us this amazing experience!! I was surprised that you enjoyed the local food and drink as foreigners. As a Chinese, I personally have not been used to Tibetan food so far even though I’ve been travelled to Tibet for several times😂.
6:20: Ben: "So of course there's no tigers anymore." Nico: "Are you sure?" Could you imagine if a tiger made an appearance immediately after?! 11:54: that was content with bite!
fascinating.. your editing and scene shot is so professional.. but one questions.. where to you go if you want to spend a penny with all those yak staring at you..

Dope Video, Jack and Nico! You guys were a blast to host in Gansu! Can not wait to do it again in western China!

I have lived in China for almost 50 years and have not been to Tibet, you are better than me

Life is tough there. At least you have to tackle the high altitude. Enjoy and take care!
Many of them would have low altitude sickness as they are used to the high altitude. They use Toyota Prado and iPhone as they are not poor.
I would have ridden a bike on that beautiful terrain.
