It's interesting to see all of the different languages and alphabets used here in the comments. It speaks to the universal appeal of music. Funny how people from different cultures can appreciate - even love - a piece of music, but can't agree on things like religion or politics. Music has the ability to transcend things that other human creations can't. That'll never solve the world's problems, but in the meantime it gives us all something to enjoy and to be thankful for.

Schubert was such an amazing composer! Underestimated during his lifetime, unfortunately. He lived in poverty and was very ill most of the time, had only few friends and fans who supported him.

I read in a biography of Schubert that he was in love with a simple young lady, not very pretty but gentle, a singer, but he could never marry her because he was not rich enough. She waited for him a long while until she could not wait any longer.. I found this story sad sure but very romantic too ...

Schubert was such an amazing composer! Underestimated during his lifetime, unfortunately. He lived in poverty and was very ill most of the time, had only few friends and fans who supported him.
Felizmente que ha os que se lembram do compositor como Halidon e o interprete Chamovich, tornando-o Imortal - a Humanidade agradece e enriquece-se com estes testemunhos afectivos.
Na Literratura Portuguesa ha casos gritantes de ingratidao e falta de reconhecimento pela grandiosidade de uma Obra, como foi o caso da UNICA E IRREPETIVEL EPOPEIA de "OS LUSIADAS" de Luis Vaz de Camoes, que morreu pobre desprezado e
miseravel com o seu unico amigo Jau!

Al escuchar a compositores como Schubert o leer poetas y escritores valiosos nacidos en nuestro suelo; pero de baja extracción socio-económica; a veces pienso, el Estado en una nación que se respeta a sí misma. Consciente de la alta responsabilidad de su gestión y a partir de la Educación Primaria, de su gestación e historia, de sus particularidades y elementos esenciales de su IDENTIDAD NACIONAL.
Creo que en esta materia hay un vacío sin justificación racional.
Nuestra estructura superior de conducción y administración, puede y debe buscar y educar talentos sobresalientes.
Aquello, en todas las áreas del quehacer humano.
Departamento quizá dependiente de su Ministerio de Educación.
- Parte a mi juicio, del bien entendido rol subsidiario del Estado.
- Imaginemos por un instante las fronteras universales que pudo haber logrado aquel campesino sencillo, BIEN NUTRIDO DESDE LA LECHE MATERNA, las leguminosas y el arroz de nuestros campos: Nicanor Parra!.
