Why was this NOT USED on the release?! There is much more raw power and energy coming out of this version than the way they put it on the album; the only thing I missed from this version was his lyric add of "take a rocket ride" at the end of each verse, other than that this is perfect!
Too much fill between verses. Ace played too much of the same riff over and over again. The final version has more rhythm guitar than this. Eddie Cramer knows how to get the best out of Ace and I believe Ace trusts his opinion.
I’ve read where Rocket Ride was shot down for Love Gun. Absolutely ridiculous considering how half of it was great and the other half was bad. Songs like Hooligan, TSKM and Tommorow and Tonight over this? If they ever put Rocket Ride, Larger than Life and All American Man on Love Gun in place of those songs, it would’ve been the greatest Kiss album. They had so many demos of songs for that album and I can’t believe that’s what they settled for after all these years with the stuff that has now come out that they had for it.
It's exactly the same track, just with different/alternate effects and mix, and the "take a rocket ride" not in the verses. The basic track is identical.
Ace has gone south.. meaning he's on the booze again I agree he has gone downhill...ooh man I feel for him he was once my fave guitar player no more now.

it's literally just an alternate vocal track. everything else is the song they released, maybe with a small remix on the guitars

Musically it's dead on. The lyrics differ a little bit though they left some parts out on the lyrics. Music though matches the album
