Coach Nick on ESPN Radio: • 2013 NBA Playoffs: Coa...
Coach Nick breaks down this schizophrenic game as it see sawed back and forth and culminated in 2 exhausted teams slugging it out in over time. - Спорт
It's not that foreign players are the only ones who flop. They just do it better.
His fundamentals are absolutely great.
This is entirely possible
Sorry - that was the correct call.
Hard to choose between Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Tony Allen..
Great point! Normally, you're supposed to throw it up and back as far as you can. I'll look at it again, but it's possible he knew Kawhi was right there.
I'm upset you put those two images in my mind!
4:44 How the heck Gasol started shooting motion then changed his mind to give a pass then understood that he was fouled and still pulls out a shot and made it. Even if it wasn't count that was some amazing reflexes.
He was fresh for the OT.. should've said this in the breakdown..darn
Spurs are tactically the best team in the NBA. Im european, but they are diffidently my favorite team in the NBA. Also would love to see Marc Gasol moving San Antonio, i think he would fit in perfectly.
I stared at the screen shot of his clipboard, and from what I can see, Bayless ran the right route, but yes - Hollins wanted him to curl into the lane
Yes - all that is very true
I think Pondexter is more important. I'd start him in place of Tony Allen
I'm scratching my head... Gasol comes out too high and on a bad angle often. That said, Spurs are making that catch difficult.
YES
I don't think so
At 2:45, where Cory Joseph saved the ball, you don't need both feet in bounds, you only need one foot. Google "Ask Bernie: Out-of-bounds rebounds and more" and click on the first result to read for yourself.
Love JVG!
Hollins has actually drawn the last play to be a quick 2-point play. The recap video from nba website has shown that he was shouting at the players when Bayless released the 3-point shot.
so......we meet again
they were down 2-0 to the clippers... this series isnt over
I can't wait to see your review on the Heat game.
Hey Coach, the Flagrant Foul call isn't "if he made a play on the ball", it's whether the contact was "excessive or unnecessary". Manu's foul didn't look excessive or unnecessary, he was just stopping a layup. Idk, just something to think about. It really could've been a normal personal foul IMO, but it doesn't really matter.
It's a shame that Grizzlies fans finally have hope of a Finals appearance, only to have that dream kicked in the dirt by the Spurs.
Did you watch the Suns from 2000-2010? They had several attempts to get to the finals but every single time something kept them back: injuries, Kobe in his prime, Robert friggin Horry hip checking Nash, etc etc.
They called a foul on Mike Conley and he didn't even touch the guy lol
LOL Tony Allen, whos hands appear made of stone. Made me laugh too much.
i think Hollins did call for a quick two (although he uses all his timeout). He was mad at Bayless making that mistake.
it's so early to say grizzlies are losing & i was going to say the same but after seeing how they came back in the 4th quarter with 18 points deficit to force OT convince me that the grizzlies can win the next 2 games which in their home court. it make sense because the series between this 2 teams is a split 2-2 winning in their home courts. If it happens the momentum shift to grizzlies & we are seeing deja vu of last year playoffs where thunders won 4 straight games after spurs ahead 2-0.
He post this a day after the game, you got plenty of the time to catch up the game.
Coach, at 2:48... I've always been slightly confused about this rule
So Joseph had to establish an on-court position (both feet) before touching the ball?
i know right, some players buy suits that are worth $5,000
Why are you so confident that the Grizzlies would beat the Spurs and the Heat?
You got me on the Spurs. They've bounced back a lot in this postseason, but they strike me as a bigger version of the Pacers right now.
Better at ball-handling, but roughly the same on defense and offense. Norris Cole is a lockdown defender - he can shut down Conley for stretches in the fourth.
Looking at it again it actually looks like he hit his head after the initial fall.
5.000$ is a joke for an NBA player..
NBA should hand out suspensions for this kind of behaviour, I don't want my basketball to turn into Spanish football ..
Coach - can you make the titles a bit more spoiler friendly? I love your shows, but i play catch up in watching all the games because im in Australia.
cheers mate :)
spot on!
Coach, What can any of those 2 team do defensively against the Heat?
thanks
There wouldnt be any OT, if not this foul trouble, tbh
Grizzles aren't playing like usual! :(
if manu did that to lebron, he would have just been ejected, fined, and then 2 FTs given to Lebron then a possession to the Heat
Any chance the NBA continues to enforce flopping fines such as when Tony Parker drew the foul on Gasol or Allen's ridiculous flopping on the floor like a fish?
That was a bad 3 at the end but understandable what they were trying to do. They trust that their defense could probably win the game so they took the early shot, make it great, miss it and maybe offensive rebound.
"Duncan foul trouble helps Spurs"
Is this a fucking joke?!?!?!?
in fact, who determine whether it is shoting or passing?
ref can said whatever they want!
What do you think about aggressively double teaming the ball handler on the pick and roll? Rotating the next defender to the roll man, the idea being the only pass left is the lob cross court allowing enough time to close out?
Be the Clippers head coach!
Any explanation of the title? How did Duncan's foul trouble help the Spurs?
except oklahoma had some ref-superstar help
How do you not get more views?
In-jun Song the brainwashed think ESPN is actual and factual
if its it miami vs spurs in the finals its gunna be super floppy
why is a flop by Parker when he just tripped?
Memphis has been horrible offensively & i give the credit to the spurs defense. They shutdown Z-bo w/ double team in the post, i was expecting Gasol to be aggresive offensively but it didn't happen & grizz weak outside offense contributes to their torment. Grizz couldn't score for the lapse of more or less 5 minutes everytime hence spurs huge lead. If only the Grizz can score consistently w/o dry spell they will win the game. Popovich is God & hollins needs 2 more brain to compete w/ him.
wow the heat won
How about jumping the ballhandler and double teaming him and have the rest of the team rotate to cover the weak spots? Like what Denver did to Stephen Curry in Game 1
Coach, who is the best perimeter defender in the league?
Hey Coach Nick, I was wondering if there are better ways other than 'ice' to guard pick and rolls?
Coach. do you think Bayless+Pondexter is better than having Z-Bo on court? Z-Bo had been struggling in these 2 games. Will the Grizzlies able to tie the series in the Grind House?
Coach do you think any of the playoff coaches watches your videos?
Coach, who's worse offensively? Tony Allen, Or Kendrick Perkins?
do you think Joseph has any potential to be a solid starter in the league?
At like 5:10 didn't Parker make a mistake? I was always taught to not save the ball under your own basket. You're the Coach though! Great video!
hey coach, with the spurs fronting zbo why dont the grizzlies run the high-low game with zbo and gasol
Coach how did you like Allen's 3 point shot that was like 5 feet short of the rim. I saw that and just pictured you cringing lol
Pacers !
perk because allen can drive and get to the rim
a large reason for the grizzlies comeback was Duncan's foul trouble. lame video title is lame
1st and this guy speaks the truth
How close is Iman Shumpert or Avery Bradley into the top 3?
Manu had nothing to do with the ball. It's a flagrant foul at it's best. Go home you drunk Manu fan.
4:58 I was SO excited to see randolph finally being able to face up and post up. I bet he was thinking the same thing too XD
I don't like him all the time because he is biased in many games, and he questions some calls that are obvious. It makes it seem like some teams really have the refs on their side.
Spurs had the refs favor in this game
Look at somewhere during 7:04 he cocks his head backwards when he is lying on the ground. Not really anyone's fault though.
It's not the first time he's done it either
/watch?v=4AetOX6kN1U
no love for avery bradley?
he heard whistle then shot he looked like he was gonna pass it heard whistle then shot so i don`t think it should of counted which it didnt
I would guess that it's cause Duncan was rested? Idk ahah
If you think that foul on Allen was flagrant, then why didn't they call a flagrant foul on Ian Mahinmi when he fouled Lebron James the same way Manu fouled Allen
this is the link (ua-cam.com/video/wxfFoYh0Js4/v-deo.html)
spurs won!!!
Should Allen get fined for his acting job?
you're actually third
the title is very demeaning...it'll cost you a job in NBA
nba is rigged, but the call is correct
Spurs > Clippers.
4thhhhhhhhhhhhh
Hahahhahaaha
I don't think so
