- This video shows some of my Simpson crossing. I didn't stop apart from a fuel transfer and calls of nature. Drank 6lt water. It was very wet and slippery near Dalhousie Springs from yesterday's hail storm. Drz400 was faultless.
Congratulations Jane a solid effort.
Incredible effort Jayne! Congratulations on an amazing ride and thanks for sharing with us all. Truly inspirational!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just amazing Jayne, you're an absolute weapon. I enjoyed how you took care of your bike, short shifting, using the torque not the revs. That's a big ride, massive. Just wow!
Thank you. Looking after the bike is very important in isolate areas especially solo.
Well done Jayne what a top effort...
Great job Jayne.. Myself and a mate Adam rode from Birdsville to Mt Dare pub back in September 2017 in 9 hours and 2 minutes,, it was 46 degrees in the shade at 11am, you my girls is someone i would bow to in person,
What bikes were you on? ps. I had 2 many bathroom stops. lol
One crazy, adventurous and fabulous sheila🙂
That’s something to be very proud of congratulations 💪
Awesome effort. Very impressive.
Well done Jayne. Lots of courage and determination and great riding!

Wow, great effort. well done
You did Simpson in a day???? Absolutely legendary
Great adventure, you are a hard woman.I´ve have traveled 10 hours straight on highway but on desert its way harder. You should make longer videos and talk about experience after completed.Waiting for more adventures here in Portugal.
Great effort, well done!
Interesting members of the Harley Davidson tribe👍
Nice, well done 👍🏽
Well done Jayne. Great effort. Planning on riding it very soon. Trying to organise some mates to go with. Just bought a new 701 husqvarna lr.
Hi Geoff I was thinking of buying a husky lr to..how have you found it so far?where did ya buy cheers lachy
@@lachie7630 Gday Lachie. Love my husky LR 701. Best bike I've owned. Great fuel range. Two fuel pumps. No complaints at all. Got mine from Echuca High side. I think they are pretty scarce since they only brought the LR for 1 year.
Nice effort mate.
Well done
Well done Jayne. Now you'll be able to tackle the FFF !
FFF??
@@jaynewhite2450
Jayne, the FFF is the Friday group with whom you ride in Adelaide
@@jaynewhite2450 FFF is the group you ride with on Fridays in Adelaide
@@pookarakka I got a new phone and lost all that information.
wow that's impressive . well done.
Thank you very much!
Way to go! Awesome job, congrats. Hope to do something like that myself maybe this year who knows :)
Gutsy effort, well done
You are an awesome human..fantastic..
Don't suppose you know a Mr Stuart Ball?
I'm the lead rider for the All women's Simpson crossing. Stuart is the organizer. he did a Solo in about 11hours with a fuel dump a week after me.
solid effort but isnt the speed limit 40 in the desert, very dangerous for you and more so for fellow travellers coming the opposite way
I was on 2 way the whole time, calling every few sandhills. The first 170km is roads. Last 30Km is roads. I averaged 40kph in the sandhills. I did an easy safe pace for me on a loaded bike.
Well done Impressive! Unsupported Solo !!
How much fuel did you take for the 400? Looks like about 30+? litres At what I would expect ..about 20+ km per litre did you cut it close?
I carried 40lt fuel . Averaged 16.4km per Lt.
How much fuel did you use out of the 40 litres? Did you have much left?
I am reluctant to disclose my fuel usage. It can vary a lot depending on riding style. Riding very smoothly makes a big difference. I suggest carrying 35-40lt. But a detour would eat up reserves very quickly.
Great job on this achievment! Did you use the Safari 28L tank? What is your experience with it and are there any problems of unuseable fuel in those wings?
Yes I used the 28lt tank. They hold 30lt. To get the last 2lt (bit less) out you have to tip the bike onto the left side so it's over by the tap. Not big problem. I carried 10lt on the back too which was put into the main tank as soon as I could fit it in.
@@jaynewhite2450 Thanks for the information. I will look into it making my way to Australia and the Simpson Desert once the borders open up again. Cheers!
Amazing effort Jayne, awesome mental and physical toughness . Your average speed must have been approx 57 Km/Hr with short breaks, very impressive. Be interested to know what your moving average speed was ?
I didn't stop much. So about 55kmph. First 350km took exactly 7 hours.
@@jaynewhite2450 it must have been an emotional euphoric moment for you as you pulled into Birdsville. Congratulations on your massive achievement.
@@kymgross1313 It was quite a cool feeling. Especially when people who were watching the Tracker started phoning me as they saw I had arrived in Birdsville and achieved my goal.
Filmed on a Potato.
Huh?
Legend!
Thanks
