Have you looked into a battery so the pump can work at night? Have a NFT water tower and was looking into running pump with solar but need it to run at least some every hour.
I was so hoping you would have gotten the tester into the panel cord. Lol You seem super pleased with the pump! Big Zac's are very robust plants. I hope you get some monsters.
Hydroponic Gardening & More with Brent I want to redo this video as I look foolish claiming 100 volts from that tiny panel lol I'll get some aligater clips for the tester today and get a good reading for everyone watching.
Wayne St Amand I do want to include a timer like before I don't have one for dc as of right now, and I will have it turn on twice a day like before because if the tomatoes get to much water they tend to split open.
Wicked cool man! I love the idea of a solar set up. Real quick, are you still adding anything to your water in terms of nutrients or is it just from the tap?
Johnathon Damschroder It's filtered water from the tap at .06ppm and i use a mixture of 20-18-38 fertilizer 10 g of masterblend with10 g of calcium nitrate and 5 g of Epsom salt per five gallons and I'm using an gallon res tank.
Ok cool. I was just curious. Also, i'm glad you got your solar panel. I don't know if you heard but Trump just signed a tariff on all solar panels that aren't made in the united states which to my knowledge is all but two brands.

Looks really cool. So with this system you don't need to have it running at night, i.e. no battery? I imagine one night without running, the
This is an old video, things have changed dramatically since then.
cool set up but no where near 100 volts website says max of 17.28 volts at .579 amps
Alex Rustick you are correct, I'm using a brand new cheap meter that needs calibration and I hadn't done that.
i wish my system could run off of solar but i need a 1200gph pump run 24/7
Alex Rustick I have the same problem with my aquaponics, I'd need a pretty big setup.
Nice! Just wondering if your going to add your timer back. If so, how much longer would you set the time for it to work?
